Zgram - Where Truth is Destiny: Now more than ever!

Christmas Day 2003

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Yesterday I said I would indulge a bit and let you get a glimpse of
the romantic, chivalrous side of Ernst Zundel - against a backdrop of
a brutal financial struggle that makes us throw every last penny of
support from our amazingly loyal supporter base into the legal fight
to get Ernst back to Tennessee.

So what did YOU get from Santa Claus that matches what I got?
Nothing, I bet you, that would surpass MY gifts.

My presents were two dreams, straight out of that hellhole of a
Canadian prison where it takes a judge's order to get an aching
prisoner a pillow - and where Ernst sleeps to this day, for all that
I know, still on a pile of transcripts slipped under his thin
mattress to elevate his head a bit!

Last night, just as I was to light our modest Christmas Tree and have
my oldest son toast his beloved stepdad and pledge that we will never
give up struggling for his freedom, Ernst called to reminisce a bit.

I told him that we had already spent six Christmasses together with
enough memories to soothe us in our separation- and his reply was
something like a haughty "Šwith another two hundred such
Christmasses more still waiting in the wings!"

This from a very recent letter:

  [START]

As for you and me - I am of course sad I cannot be there to take the
load off you while you have to do so many things before Christmas.
Relax a bit after! Pamper yourself! You deserve it!

Last night I had an odd but very vivid dream. You and I had made
true our promise to each other and went on a cruise - to Singapore,
of all places. Why there, I have not the faintest idea! The
monstrously large cruise ship in gleaming white docked in the harbor,
and we were in berth or cabin 89 - odd that I remember that!

We were all dressed up, you in a very nice, swooshy, floral-patterned
dress and high heels, and I in a white linen suit, slim, believe it
or not! We strolled along the decks looking up at the moonlit sky.
The air was balmy, Hawaii-like, the way I remember it from my
previous trip to Singapore. It was as real as can be in a dream!

I'll obviously have to continue that dream tonight, or pick another
destination!

Is this not odd? I have no books or magazines to kick-start such a
dream! Where in the recesses of my mind and imagination did I drag
up all those millions of pixels to assemble a magnificent cruise ship
- band, bar, dance floor - I mean, mygod, it was one elaborate
production, let me tell you!

Another dream I had, after the boys [Ernst sons who had come
visiting] had been surprised seeing the gallery, was that we had a
"wedding repeat", coupled with a gala opening there. String
orchestra playing, evening gowns! You looked like the Queen of
England in her coronation gown, crown glittering under the
chandeliers, soft music playing, a fire in the fireplace, people in
evening attire out on the balcony where paper lanterns with real
candles inside were swaying in the soft Tennessee summer breeze.

Is this prison escapism? It must be. Anyway, since I am the guy
with the vivid imagination, I thought to let you in on my dreams.

[END]

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS, ALL OF YOU WHO ARE ON YOUR WAVELENGTH.

AS FOR THE OTHERS, WHY BOTHER EVEN GIVING THEM A SECOND THOUGHT? WE
HAVE NOTHING BUT NOTHING IN COMMON WITH THEM!

NO SURRENDER!

Ingrid
