Zgram - Where Truth is Destiny: Now more than ever!

December 4, 2003

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

I apologize that I am sending you four Zundel excerpts in a row -
but I was laid low with one of the worst cases of flu I have ever
experienced, at a time when I had two guests and two volunteers in
my house. I could barely keep myself on my feet - and I am only now
returning to the living. My excerpts are going to be short, under
the circumstances - which might be just as well.

The letter below, addressed to me and dated March 11, 2003, was
never sent when it was written. I only received it now, with a
little scribbled remark: "Notes I had made way back thenŠ" I don't
know why it was never sent; maybe Ernst ran out of postage stamps,
since he is only allocated a certain amount he can spend per week.
At any rate, here it is. I think it's interesting:

[START]

I won't bore you with what was said inside the hearings, since in
about a week, the transcripts will undoubtedly be on the Internet,
and they will report in far more detail than I ever could, wasting
all my precious pencils on a topic that thoroughly bores and
disgusts me.

What was interesting to me, and I am sure will be to you, are the
personalities around these hearings. Imagine what historians and
film makers will do with these transcripts one day! Imagine what we
would give if we had a verbatim record of what was said by
historical personalities at crossroads trials and similar hearings!

Take Galileo, for instance, when the Italian/Roman authorities gave
him a rough time and tried to browbeat and marginalize him for his
scientifically absolutely correct, but politically totally
unacceptable observations and discoveries. Imagine if we had these
transcripts, and we could follow, thought by thought, explanation by
explanation, as this great thinker tried to explain to the
narrow-minded, orthodoxy-imprisoned, "the-earth-is-flat"
contemporaries who they were wrong, all of them - that the sun did
not revolve around the earth!

Imagine how this great mind must have felt when he encountered this
totally childish, pedestrian, cowardly and religious-dogma-besotten
world around him! Imagine if we could get a glimpse of him,
desperately trying to save his absolutely correct view backed by
observations, and how slowly the realization sank in, and began to
be reflected in his public utterances, as he began to retrench in
order to save his research papers, his celestial maps and notebooks,
and his freedom - possibly even his life!

There were people in his day who did come forth, who spoke up in his
favor and risked the public odium - and two hundred years later, the
very successor to the popes of Gallileo's time exonerated him with a
half-hearted apology. We are lucky that since the advent of the
Internet, the idiocies of our age can and are exposed almost
instantly - at an accelerating pace, almost too fast to follow even
for scholars, who need time for the old orthodoxy to be eroded and
actually die with its biological carriers.

That's the stage we are in now! The final death throes of all the
liberal, socialist, one-world clap trap that the likes of Marx,
Trotski, Adorno and Marcuse, along with Freud, Goldhagen, Hilberg
and Lipstadt, aided by Spielberg, Wiesenthal, Foxman and Hier have
barfed into the world are here. Their order is dying, along with
them.

While I was preparing for the hearing, Denis Urstein, one of the
lying witnesses against me, died of a heart attack. The papers did
not say if it was because he had heard that I was back in Canada -
but they did say that he testified in the Zundel trial. So thanks
to my Galileo treatment, this miserable wretch from the ghettos of
Eastern Europe had his five seconds of "prime time." With him,
another carrier of the old lie bit the dust and was claimed by the
devil. Who do you think will remember him in history?

I knew as my hearings approached that nothing what I might say or
could do from the limited confines of my jail cell would change the
outcome of the hearings. I have had decades of experience with the
men and women of low character and limited vision who inhabit our
bureaucracies. One of Germany's greatest sons described them so
aptly in the Kubicek book. They are the Mark Twain-like characters,
pictured often in Normal Rockwell's paintings of the '30s and '40s -
guys dressed in white, starched shirts, stretch rubber armbands
holding up their sleeves, garters to hold up their socks around
their spindly legs, elbow protectors to prevent their sleeves from
wearing out prematurely, a visor, usually green, standard issue, to
protect their eyes from the glare of incandescent lamps over their
desks, and a yellow pencil stuck above their ears.
"Griffelspitzer", he called them - millions upon millions filling
the offices of Germany's towns and cities, toiling away, day-in and
day-out. Those are the people I have met - the Claude Pensas of the
world who, without batting an eyelash or any pangs of conscience,
would work for the highest bidder and betray any and all principles
along the way - that is, if they ever had any to begin with!

I encountered them once again in the form of government officials -
all of them, of course, lawyers. It seems that the system knows
that any time they have ground out another sausage from the great
sausage makers our universities have become, they can always trust a
lawyer. So all these people - the adjudicators, the hearing
officers, the department of immigration flunkies - to a man or woman
were those same stamped out critters. You will be able to read
their bootlicking arguments on the Internet.
