The rumor mills were spitting flakes and dust about the Nizkor folks for a few days. The site seemed to be down, and former allies were behaving snarkily and were disowning any knowledge or association.
Odd.
Some people thought that Ken McVay, he of the gleaming OBC, had been turfed out by B'nai Brith Canada, since little love seems to be lost between the parties, and the Canadian Simon Wiesenthal Center's Sol Littman has been bad-mouthing Kenny way back when.
"In my opinion," wrote a Canadian activist, "contemplating McVay thru kosher contact lenses, I'm amazed they let him run loose like that for as long as they did. I've no way to prove this, of course, but I imagine the following dialogue at Holocaust Central:
X: When should we pull the plug on Nizkor?
Y: Sometime in July or August--when everyone's away on holiday.
X: We should have done it sooner.
Y: Should have? Yes! This Nizkor's been a bigger disaster for us than even the Pressac interlude.
X: Another mistake like that and we... (inaudible)
Y: Three strikes and we're out?...
They both laugh (bitterly).
Y: What about Ken?
X: Not to worry. He'll be grateful for any help we can provide.
Y: Back to pumping gasoline?..."
"I hope not," wrote another one in our camp. "The treatments of the issues at that site have been beneficial to Revisionism. The info. they post seems quite easy to debunk, thereby revealing the weakness of the cult. Their lack of a BBS (fear of debate) and their general shrill tone works against them."
Still yet another wrote: "If Nizkor is gone, then in six months they will deny it ever existed. And in a short time after there will never have been a McVay. And in the meantime, no holohugger ever took McVay seriously."
Others opted for a cautious wait-and-see and thought that it was just a power failure or some computer glitsch, since Kenny-boy kept posting blithely on alt.revisionism as though he was still rooster in the basket.
Still other people grieved and said the world would never be the same - a sentiment I seconded, since a good portion of our website traffic comes from them. In terms of website counts, the Nizkorites have been a real bonanza.
Just now came word the Nizkorites are back. Well, so it goes. Maybe next time? Who knows?
Meanwhile, I prepared this ZGram some time ago since I was traveling with a friend and needed to have spares in the hopper. It is based on a three-way exchange between Sleipnir, a much-persecuted and frequently police-raided and prosecuted news magazine agency operating out of Germany, Geoff Muirden of the Australian Revisionist website, Adelaide Institute, and the venerable Ken McVay of the Holocaust Enforcer website, Nizkor.

Andreas Roehler of Sleipnir, addressing McVay:
Did you get the message of the imprisonment of Dr. Toeben? What's your opinion concerning this? Will you hold up your free speech and blue ribbon position or hold it for justified?
McVay:
"I do not agree with the application of German (or any other state) law to offshore websites, and I am opposed to the arrest of Dr. Toeben for that reason. He knew exactly what he was doing, however, and appears to have gone to Germany with the thought of getting himself arrested. It is difficult to have sympathy for such a deliberate act, but he's a grown man, and went into the Prosecutor's office with his eyes open.
"If the German government can arrest Dr. Toeben, a man for whom I have nothing but disgust, for displaying links on his internet site to Ernst Zundel's internet site, then the German government can also arrest me, as my site does precisely the same thing. In short, although I have been assured that Nizkor is exempt as an educational vehicle, I will not enter Germany because of the implications inherent in the arrest of Toeben for web content in Australia.
"There is, I think, a very real danger in applying such principles in a world where one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter. When people can be arrested for web content - even if, unlike Toeben, they are not aware that their content violates some State's statutes - then I think the freedom we have begun to enjoy will die a horrible death."
Geoff Muirden, speaking for the Adelaide Institute from Australia, where the Australian government, as we reported yesterday, has since rammed through a draconian legislation to censor the Internet (. . . so McVay's fears have already been realized, at least in that part of the world!):
"The announcement from Kenneth McVay of Nizkor that he doesn't approve of Internet censorship by downloading offshore Websites, and trying to prosecute those presenting 'unpopular' viewpoints, also that he doesn't want to visit Germany for fear of arrest because he allows 'dissident' views to be published even on a 'kosher' Website, are important, because the arrest of Dr Toeben has thrown into doubt the freedom of movement of all persons entering Germany who may harbour politically incorrect opinions.
"These are important issues, which he has the honesty and candour to face. Those concerned with free speech should boycott entering Germany as a protest against these policies.
"At the same time, (McVay) accepts the false view that Dr Toeben entered Germany expecting to be arrested. It is time this myth was demolished once and for all.
"Even before he left Australia, Dr Toeben had published his viewpoint in a local magazine in Victoria, Australia, called 'The Wimmera Mail-Times', dated 22 February, 1999, in which Dr Toeben says:
'I have no intention of breaking German law but I do want to talk to judges, prosecutors and others about the ban (on discussing the Holocaust). I want to challenge the authorities there on the freedom of speech issue.
'The German authorities have to realize that discussing such things as the gas chambers is a legitimate intellectual exercise, and that people should be able to discuss it without being called 'anti-Semitic', 'anti-Jewish' or a 'hater of Israel.' People should be able to enquire openly into the whole question.'
"As it is, accusations of 'neo-Nazi', 'anti-Semitic', 'racist hatemonger' have been applied regardless of applicability.
"Nevertheless, Dr Toeben entered Germany with the intention of having a private discussion with Herr Klein. A letter to me from Mannheim Prison dated 17 April, 1999, says:
'I did not expect this (arrest). After all, since I last saw Klein in April, 1997, he's been receiving the (Adelaide Institute) Newsletters with my personal request that he let me know if the Newsletters offend against the German law. I even sent him a couple of letters before my departure asking the same question. His silence I interpreted as an OK for me to come to Germany.'
"Obviously, this is a case where silence does not indicate consent! Dr Toeben had visited Herr Klein on previous occasions without threat of arrest and did not expect to be arrested this time. Not only was he arrested by entrapment, but the material he sent Klein for discussion was to 'be taken in evidence and used against him!'
"In view of the fact that this was a private discussion, and there was no attempt at public discussion, meetings or rallies on his part, the idea that this posed some kind of a 'threat to Jews' in Germany is ludicrous. And it is false to think that he wanted to be a martyr even if that is what he, in effect, became.
"However, it should also be mentioned that, in the second arrest warrant, which AMJ Roehler was kind enough to translate into English, there is a section which openly defames Dr Toeben and attributes evil motives to him by suggesting that he deliberately and maliciously lied in his historical opinions:
(quote) "in his circulars the defendant claims and maintains frequently, using questionable quotations and references as well as additional internet links, FULLY AWARE THAT SUCH STANDS IN CONTRADICTION OF THE HISTORICAL TRUTH (emphasis mine) and- at least in part-identifying with Nazi measures of persecution, in a pseudo-scientific fashion motivated by the tendency of relieving Nazism from the disgrace of the mass murder inflicted upon the Jews, seeking to heighten and intensify the perceptions and passions of the readers, denying the Nazi leadership's responsibility, declaring extermination is a legend invented by the Jews which now serves the purpose of subjugating the German people, such as presented, for example, on the Internet at his address." "Since the framers of the arrest warrant are so concerned about defamation, they should kindly refrain from defaming Dr Toeben at this point and attributing evil motives by openly and maliciously lying which, as a careful and contentious historian, he did not do.
"If they disagree with his views, that is one thing, but if they deliberately accuse him of malice, they go beyond what is proper procedure."

FORMER U.S. OFFICIAL CHOSEN TO HEAD WORLD POLICE
A former U.S. law enforcement official on Friday was chosen as the lead candidate to head Interpol, the global law enforcement organization.
Ron Noble, former Treasury undersecretary for enforcement, was named during an executive session at Interpol headquarters in Lyon, France.
Noble, 42, best known as the chief investigator of the failed Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms raid on the Branch Davidian compound outside Waco, Texas, is the only person the United States has ever nominated to head Interpol in the 75-year history of the organization.
Attorney General Janet Reno personally picked Noble for the position.
The move marks a shift in U.S. policy, and comes as American's celebrate Independence Day.
Until recently, American federal law enforcement agencies have not played an active role in Interpol.
Founded in 1923, the International Criminal Police Organization [Interpol], using the resources of law enforcement agencies in 177 member countries, acts as a global clearinghouse for information on crime threats.
The organization cannot make arrests, but it does issue "red notices." Those notices are honored by 135 countries that arrest suspects solely on the basis of a "red notice" with no further information. The USA, however, does not currently honor Interpol's red notices.
"Interpol is a great law enforcement organization, but at the turn of the century, with technology taking off by leaps and bounds, it is at a crossroads," Noble told USA TODAY in a recent interview.
"You can move from country to country in hours, and from a communications and business perspective, you can move at the speed of light with the advent of the Internet. Interpol is the one organization that can help in getting the right people together and coordinating and fighting crime in those areas."
Could they be talking about Interpol, headed by a U.S. law enforcement officer, enforcing German arrest warrants against Holocaust Revisionists and dissidents? In that case, they would be in contravention of the U.S. Constitution. Have those who nominated Noble thought of this? Or is this one more "in your face" appointment by those behind a morally mortally wounded Clinton who merely use the US President to get their One World Order puppets into position - while they can?
