I wrote the following as a Letter to the Editor of the National Post in response to an op/ed piece about two weeks ago, although I was warned that it would never run.
It didn't - therefore, it is yours to enjoy.

Warren Kinsella's guest commentary of June 1 in the National Post, titled "Far right's opposition to war is no surprise | Bombing of Kosovo has whipped extremists into fury" was long in the tooth but short on his facts. Since he has mentioned my website - he denigrates my work by calling me a "follower" of Mr. Zundel - it is incumbent upon me to set the record straight.
* Kinsella writes, referring to Ernst Zundel: "On his much-visited Web home -- called the "Zundelsite" and maintained for him by a follower in California -- Zundel recently offered up his views on the conflict: "[The war is] a chance for the proponents of multiculturalism to enforce their liberal chimera with guns and bombs . . . If NATO wins, the military-industrial complex can rub its blood-stained hands with glee, while the mothers weep and babies die."
Kinsella is a mouth piece for the trendy left. Kinsella ***knows*** the Zundelsite is not Ernst Zundel's website. The Zundelsite belongs to me. The much-contested daily cyber editorials called "ZGrams", referred to in the paragraph above, are copyrighted in my name, and have been from the start, beginning with the very first one registered with the U.S. Copyright Office on January 1, 1996, in Washington, D.C. A $2 phone call to my office, or a check with the U.S. Copyright Office in Washington, D.C. would have made that explicit.
In fact, some timely fact-checking could have aborted the entire expensive farce called the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, going on since 1996, bound and determined to destroy the Zundelsite. Kinsella, an avid, oddly fascinated surfer of politically incorrect websites, ***knows*** that the predatory, parasitic Human Rights Tribunal is trying - with its snout in the taxpayers' trough - to make it look as though the Zundelsite belongs to Zundel. Being fellow leftist travelers with vested interests in a politically correct environment in Canada, chances are Kinsella is aiding the Tribunal's agenda by cunningly soliciting what he may think is animus around the Zundel name.
This kind of crafty innuendo is costly for Canadians. In a document obtained by the Zundel legal team through the Freedom of Information Act, the amount so far spent on shutting down my website by the Canadian Human Rights Commission alone is in the neighbourhood of $420,000 for witness and transportation costs, as well as lawyers' legal fees etc. What has that money purchased for Canadians so far? That ". . . truth is no defense", as ruled by the Zundel Tribunal - ***in a hearing where historical truth is at stake?*** No wonder Canada is called Absurdistan and worse in hundreds of Internet newsgroups.
* Kinsella also struts with arrogance and gall while taking unctuous swipes at the Far Right - and groups in general, many of them older citizens, unhappy with the liberal agenda. He has no hesitation smearing them as ". . . neo-Nazis, white supremacists, Holocaust deniers and their apologists. . . " - all in the hope, we may surmise, to sell a few more of his flawed books, trotted out by would-be censors and Holocaust lobbyists, the Canadian spy service (CSIS) etc. every time they feel like denying people the right to criticize the left-liberal agenda.
Readers take note, and remember it well: What "Holocaust deniers and their apologists", including Mr. Zundel, are saying is the following:
To accept without doubt, to accuse without trustworthy evidence, to intimidate without proof, to lie without punishment, to censor with impunity was unthinkable in the Western democracies in ages past.
In the case of the 'Holocaust', the numbers of victims are wildly inflated, the method of killing is forensically disproved, the "murder weapon" is missing, and the tales of the "witnesses" are scientifically and historically unverifiable.
Nevertheless, in spite of revisionist research by competent scientists and scholars of the West who have risked all that is possible in life to risk for the sake of ascertaining historical truth, self-serving fictionalizing about the 'Holocaust' proceeds untouched by facts in the popular press and electronic media, in the movie industry, in academia - and even in the public schools as early on as kindergarten! And why? Because, by now, the "Holocaust" is treated as a temporal religion. To question this new dogma makes one a heretic, subject to savage persecution and often prosecution.
Who should know better than Ernst Zundel who has spent 40 years to clear the world of anti-German bashing? He even paid his own way - instead of panhandling the taxpayers of Canada to censor ***his*** detractors. The hyped-up Hollywood version of the Holocaust as an alleged historical event is dead. There's zippo evidence for "genocidal gassings". Science cannot be suspended, not even by the "Nazis" - much less self-serving smears by Holocaust promoters like Kinsella.
* Kinsella next goes on to claim, still speaking of the ". . . Holocaust deniers and their apologists":
"Given the latter group's well-documented fondness for destabilizing conflicts, and the usage of force . . ."
Where is the evidence Kinsella offers to prove that wild-eyed smear? Whose house was bombed and burned? Who has been verbally and judicially abused in Canada for decades in full view of a cowed, intimidated lapdog media, in court case after court case, tormented by unwarranted arrests, subjected to humiliating body searches, repeated jailings, and systematically publicly degraded with the vilest ethnic slurs? Does the name Zundel come to mind? Can Mr. Kinsella point out even one person on the Left who has been similarly victimized in Canada by the Canadian establishment?
* Kinsella also proffers this: " Messrs. Zundel and Irving have expressed tremendous affection for the CRTC's [Canadian Radio and Television's] recent decision to refrain from preventing the circulation of hate propaganda in cyberspace."
They did not! That is a blatant lie! They applauded a rare free-speech decision by a Canadian regulatory agency! Neither Zundel nor Irving promote hate on the Internet. They cannot help it that some people hate the truth - and will stealthily censor historical truth and politically incorrect speech where they find it.
Hundreds of books, booklets, videos, audios and pamphlets are routinely banned and burned by Canada Customs for their politically incorrect content. The far right is not responsible for that - it's left-liberal policy to do that!
I speak from personal experience. Four of my titles - three novels, one autobiography - were seized and banned last year by Revenue Canada as being politically incorrect and, hence, "unfit" for grown-up readers. What do these books contain? A history of brutal ethnic cleansing of German-descent minorities in Soviet Russia. My family perished that way. My father was a modern-day Communist slave, shipped to Siberia. My ethnic people lived, and many hundreds of thousands died, in their own Holocausts - and some of those who made it out of hell and came to Canada, as I did in the 1960s, do not flaunt and inflict their suffering at every opportunity while throwing public temper tantrums for cool billions in cash while censoring the reading content of their neighbors.
* Kinsella offers unctuously: ". . . A quick tour through some of the 1,600 Web sites that far-right groups maintain on the World Wide Web shows near-total unanimity on NATO's action . . . " Then he slides in the name of Adolf Hitler, the ever-handy scare crow for his ilk, implying sneakily that genocidal mischief, alleged to have happened on orders of Hitler, is afoot in ranks of the far right.
For Mr. Kinsella's information: One does not have to be in Hitler's telepathic company to find the NATO war offensive. To paraphrase US Lt. Gen. Tom Griffin, many people are appalled and furious that civilized nations
". . . should be engaged with an entrenched, politically motivated enemy, backed by the Russians, on their home ground, in a foreign civil war, in difficult terrain, with limited military objectives, bombing restrictions, boundary and operational restrictions, queasy allies, far across the ocean, with uncertain goals, without prior consultation with Congress, the potential for escalation . . . and the majority of Americans opposed to or at least uncertain about the value of the action being worth American lives."
* A sanctimonious Kinsella writes: "If a cause may be judged by the character of those who support it, so too may it be judged by the quality of those who do not." And then we watch him do an extraordinary moral sumersault: "By that measure," opines he, "the war against the regime of Slobodan Milosevic is a very noble cause, indeed."
Oh, really? You don't say! Just who supports the NATO bombings? Turkey, a country with a history of Holocausts inflicted on Armenians, Kurds, and other Balkan people? Israel, who bombs Lebanese, Iraqi and other neighbors with impunity, along with brutal Palestinian ethnic cleansings - breaking people's bones, bulldozing their homes, practicing torture in prisons, sanctified by the Israeli Supreme Court etc.?
Hardly a "noble" record in support of "preventing ethnic cleansing"!
Let's get some smoke cleared here. It is not in the far right's interest to play the Hitler card to scare the ignorant. It's the far left and its assorted fellow travelers in the mass media who produced mass murderers like Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot. ***They*** need the bogey man called Hitler. Kinsella's leftist friends have left a ghastly record of human rights abuses for over 80 years in many parts of the world, and people are beginning to wake up to why the pot now needs to call the kettle black.
Without the specter of the Führer, without invectives, slurs and smears, without politically convenient and artificially created "far right" lapdog media villains such as Zundel, paraded for ritual abuse, would there be hefty grants and lush careers for the Kinsellas of the world to "combat" non-existent threats?
Could some of the enormously well-financed, politically protected "hate industries" of Canada - the so-called "charity" B'nai Brith, the taxpayer-funded Human Rights Commissions, the Toronto Mayor's Committee for Race and Community Relations etc. - exist?
Could schlock writers, corrupted researchers, character assassins and smear finks keep peddling their falsehoods for profit? Could certain social parasites whose business is to smear the right make such a yummy living?
