ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny and Destination!

June 14, 1999

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

"The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming!"

During World War II for bombed-out Germany, this cry meant the terror of all terrors! Nobody who lived through those bloody years will ever forget how it felt!

Largely thanks to a movie by that title, in America in postwar times this once legitimate cry of alarm became a silly joke - implying that one need not fear that Russian force and might unreasonably.

And now the Russians came again - and moved in a spectacular way into the New World Order rubble of Pristina.

This is a summary to my question to Ernst Zundel what the Russian move into Pristina meant for Russia - and for the rest of the world.

Ernst here:

In politics as in history, it is frequently not what the facts are that is important. The perception of the facts can be more important than the facts themselves. Examples abound, and now we have a new one.

This was the case when about 200 Russian troops moved into Pristina, capital city of Kosovo, in the night of June 11-12, 1999, dramatically and symbolically upstaging what NATO propagandists had hoped could be orchestrated into a media-hyped event showing the mad bombers' ground troops being welcomed on a carpet of flowers.

Fat chance!

What the world got to see instead in those dramatic hours were US troops bottled up in their landing craft by NATO-allied Greece, Canadian troops being ordered to wear flak jackets and steel helmets and not giving interviews to the largely hostile Greek press, while Greek riot police by the thousands held back mobs of anti-NATO demonstrators from beaches and harbors.

Compare that to the reception of the Russians who were showered with flowers, hugs and kisses! Video footage showed the world how Yugoslavian civilians climbed up on troop carriers - embracing the Russian soldiers, unfurling Yugoslav flags - while the convoy slowly snaked its way through Pristina and out to the airport, only there to deploy in defensive positions, blocking the road, so NATO's late comers, who stopped, started and lurched along their way, scared and cautious, moved toward the center of Pristina and into scenes of World War II-like destruction, mostly by NATO bombs!

The brass at NATO was obviously shocked - from the White House on down - and well they should have been!

Once again one must ask:

* How good can NATO intelligence, or US spy satellites, overflights by the U2 and other spy planes be - if they did not notice or spot an entire armored column of Russian troops coming at them from opposite directions?

* How little must they know about the region's terrain, or their politics - not to have known that something like that was in the works?

* How poor must their electronic intelligence intercepts be - that they could have been so blind-sided by this move on the part of the Russian military?

* Finally: How poorly informed must they be about what is really going on inside the Russian "Red Army" hierarchy and power structure, which is still the real power in Russia - for millions of those soldiers are armed, and some guard nuclear installations. They are a heart beat away from weapons against which there is no defense!

The arrogant West, having foolishly cultivated largely ethnic alien gangster elements within Russia - who, in effect, took over in a bloodless coup or were handed power and influence by their fathers and grandfathers who had run the old Bolshevik regime into the ground - have been for the last ten years bleeding Russia dry and shaming and humiliating it at every turn. The Western media lapdogs have either suppressed or applauded their crooked, corrupt financial deals and moves, while the Russian people suffered and starved. The Russian standard of living has declined since the current gangster element took over by over 75% since 1991. That means that the situation for ordinary Russians has become twice as bad as the Americans experienced during the Great Depression!

Think about that!

So someone within the Russian power structure set this Blitzkrieg-like move into motion in Pristina - without anybody noticing at NATO ? When the place was teeming with "highly alert" troops? When the skies were filled with "observation planes"?

Somebody, someplace, was asleep - or the whole NATO "invincibility" line is a crock of propaganda - just like America's failure of intelligence in Somalia, Lebanon and elsewhere!

Who is to say what will happen if Western intelligence is that poor? Who is to say that some day the same elements in the Russian power structure, who engineered this little gem of an operation, will not send armored columns into Moscow, St. Petersburg, Odessa, Rostov - any power center, air force or naval base, or even nuclear strike facility, take it over, declare the gangster reign at an end, and begin to clean up the stables at home?

From what Russian people told me and tell me, my bet is that these soldiers would be received as liberators of Mother Russia and showered with hugs and kisses - and the arrogant cliques and power elites in Washington, Bonn, Tel Aviv and London would be staring at powerful Russian missiles pointed at each and every one of their capitals and production centers, not to mention their aging fleets of B52s, their empty supply depots stripped of spare parts, ammunition and bombs by ever more ludicrous police interventions to prop up their impossible liberal pipe dream of a polyglot One-World, Freemasonic Nirvana.

The Pristina show is an indication of what a gutsy, determined enemy, even using less than high-tech equipment, can achieve with a small but determined force. The will to power, the courage of men against all odds is what will triumph - time and again! - in the affairs of men. Not video clips. Not carefully orchestrated media photo opportunities by well-groomed Rambos, smelling of the latest aftershave!

That was the lesson of Pristina!

That's why millions of people, the world over, cheered for that bold strike of the Russians as they moved into Pristina. They cheered them in Paris, in Munich, in Toronto, in Johannesburg and Buenos Aires - it was like an act of liberation from months of suffocating lies and propaganda!

Regardless of what the Jewish officials under Yeltsin or around Clinton will put on as a spin - this was a symbolic act! Many will draw their proper conclusions!

So even in its humiliation, Russia and its one small unit of a few hundred men and a few independent and courageous thinkers in the officers' corps gave a bugle call to the rest of their people: "We are still a factor, a force to be reckoned with - you count us out at your own peril!"

Perception is what counts! The message was clear: "Don't tread on us!" as the early American colonists told their adversaries!

Thought for the Day:

"Beware the man who rises to power from one suspender!"
