Here comes Installment # 3 on the Polish Crosses controversy.
By March 10, Bob Kunst of Shalom International, who was not the world's best grammar student, was very angry about the Christian Poles and took a swipe at the Ambassador of Poland in New York. Take a deep breath:

Mr. Ambassador:
When will Poland stop playing games with the memories of millions of Jews murdered at Auschwitz-Birkenau ?
A 100 yd. barrier will not stop the revisionism of what happened at Auschwitz-Birkenau, especially when you are commercializing the World's largest Jewish cemetery with a visitor center that has fastfood, banking and postoffice. What a disgrace.
To cash-in on the Holocaust and turn Auschwitz-Birkenau and the other death camps into tourist attractions and Disneyland is an absolute slap in the face to all those murdered there and is the worst form of revisionism and anti- Semitism.
If it isn't all business with your government, in violaton of a UNESCO agreement not to allow 'crosses' or commercialism, Poland signed in 1972, it's the blatant attempt to trivialize and revise that catastrophe that happened there.
We experienced this on Feb. 25, 1999 when we protested at the Polish Consulate in NYC and 20 Poles, who emerged from the Polish Consulate, counter- protested us with signs that read:
1. 'GET YOUR ASHED [sic] OUT OF POLAND'
2. 'JEWS KILLED 3 MILLION POLES, THE REAL HOLOCAUST'
3. 'HOLOCAUST MYTHS HIDE JEWISH CRIMES'
4. 'STOP THE LIES, STOP THE CULTURAL GENOCIDE'
5. 'THE JEWS: MARX, LENIN, ENGELS, BERIA CAUSED THE DEATHS OF MORE PEOPLE THAT THE HOLOCAUST DEATH COUNT'
6. 'UNDER ORDERS OF THE JEW MERIA [sic] MORE POLES WERE MURDERED AT KATYN, THAN JEWS WERE MURDERED AT AUSCHWITZ'
7. 'CURTAINS FOR $HOAH BUSINESS'
8. 'ZIONIST BEASTS - HANDS OFF POLAND'
THIS IS WHAT THEY BELIEVE, THIS IS WHAT THEY'VE BEEN TAUGHT, THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE TEACHING TO 'JUSTIFY' THE HOLOCAUST, AND THEIR BLATANT JEW HATING.
Your Government has allowed this crisis to fester and to get out of control, again and again.
Your Government has allowed over '300' crosses and you will not remove the 26ft. cross which started the whole mess, because it Remembers the Pope's visit in '79, but put up in '88, yet prevails over the whole camp as a cover up for Vatican 'silence' and complicity in the Holocaust itself.
Cardinal Glemp, last year attacked Jews as "MOLESTERS OF POLES" FOR EVEN CHALLENGING THIS OUTRAGEOUS POLISH POLICY TO DESECRATE OUR SACRED GROUND, OUR JEWISH CEMETERIES.
Poland cannot be trusted to supervise these camps on any level.
They belong to Jewish people and must be returned to the Jewish people to show proper respect for all the victims of Nazi barbarism and Polish anti- Semitism.
On April 18, 1999 at 1 P.M. and again on May 16, 1999 at 1 P.M., Shalom Int'l. and Amcha and other, will again protest at the Polish Consulate, and Betar will also protest at the Polish Embassy in London.
We are contacting Jewish and non-Jewish groups worldwide on this matter and no matter what you've 'negotiated' with the Holocaust Museum folks, who have no authority to allow any of this outrage, we will not participate with this 'sellout'.
Your Government has bargained in bad faith, and this 100 ft barrier is just one more bandaid on a crisis that is your own doing and nowhere near resolved.
We want our holygrounds, our world's largest Jewish Cemeteries where millions of Jews were murdered, just for being Jews in these 'death camps' to be cared for by the Jewish community.
Your dreadful politics is even a contemptible attack upon Poles murdered there as well.
The 'death camps' at Chelmno, Belzec, Sobibor, Majdanek, Treblinka, Auschwitz-Birkenau, do not belong to Poland to commercialize and trivialize, but to the victims.
Your Government has allowed all signs to these camps to have 'crosses' on them. You've allowed kids to fish in the pond at Birkenau, where ashes from Krematorium V were thrown. Your Government has allowed people to picnic at Auschwitz and picnic tables are also at Treblinka where 850,000 Jewish men, women and children were exterminated.
Poland, long ago lost the argument on purely moral grounds and now you are showing the world that you cannot be trusted on any matter, if this is the way your are behaving on this critical matter.
It has unleashed more anti-Semitism, which is your governments real motive, in allowing all of this to have happened and continues to happen.
Stop this insult to injury.
Stop this attack upon the millions of Jewish Martyrs, and those survivors, resisters, and liberators and their families and the Jewish people.
We will continue our highly visible campaign to embarass the Polish Government until you finally come to your senses and give back these sacred grounds to the Jewish people.
Nothing else will matter. Stop defaming the millions of Jews murdered in Poland. Stop abetting this mass murder with your dreadful politics.
We await your reply, as we expand this campaign in every arena possible, till we get this 'justice' the world is supporting us on.
We have written to you a number of times, but you cowardly ignore all of our appeals and why we continue to protest these disgusting Polish politics and anti-Semitism.
Overwhelmed by the pain you are contributing, and only Nazis would support.
