Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

 

I have a Sunday treat for you, courtesy of Carol Valentine, one of the Internet's strongest cyber fighters for Truth in History and Goverment. Carol has done a lot of digging regarding murky matters pertaining to the Waco tragedy before she met a single Revisionist. Without further ado, here she is:

 

"I went to a reception organized on behalf of a Republican acquaintance recently. Many of Virginia's state VIPs and aspiring VIPs were present. The guest of honor was Virginia Attorney General Mark L. Earley.

He spoke to the gathering about the heritage of the Virginia's first sons, including George Mason, Patrick Henry, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson. He quoted:

 

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." He went on to laud the concept "Equal Justice Under Law."

 

Earley said Virginia was the cradle of liberties, that we would soon be celebrating the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown.

 

Just when I was about to get out my hanky to dab the tears from my eyes, Attorney General Earley suddenly shifted direction and started to talk about his visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

 

"How many of you have been there?" he asked, and waited for a show of hands.

 

Earley went on to describe his visit and an encounter with a little old lady in her seventies who he ran into when he visited some exhibit of shoes that had allegedly been taken from the feet of the victims.

 

"If only my relatives were shoes, they might still be here," she sobbed.

 

Attorney General Earley went on to say we should never let the ideals of the Founding Fathers die. The Holocaust was a result of exactly that . . . How we should breathe new life into the practical realizations of the Founders' goals in the next century, etc., etc.

 

I went up to Mr. Earley after the event and asked him, if he was so concerned about the living application of "Equal Justice Under Law" and the ideals of the American Revolution - why choose to ignore the *Waco* Holocaust?

 

I pointed out to him the murderers were still free, and he was missing a golden opportunity in not denouncing our own home-grown holocaust. As I was making my remarks, I handed him a business card which had the URL of the WHEM on it.

 

He continued to stare at me, without any response.

 

"I want to know what you think is so important about Jews. Why are you so concerned with their murder but unconcerned about the murder of Americans? Don't Americans count?"

 

"I'll look at this website," he said.

 

So I told him to compare and contrast. I said I had better evidence of the Waco Holocaust that the Holocaustalists had of the German Holocaust, and to visit the other sites I had linked to my page.

 

"I don't hold with holocaust revisionism," he said, and turned his heel on me to speak to someone else.

 

Ah, so! The Attorney General of the State of Virginia has heard of holocaust revisionism.

 

The rest of my evening was spent talking to the other guests about the Attorney General's remarks:

 

"We have our own Holocaust, but he pretends it never happened. If he was really concerned about 'Equal Justice Under Law' he would condemn it and call for the prosecution of the murderers. But oh no, he talks about something that happened 60 years ago in another country . . . "

 

The reaction of the guests was mixed. Some stared at me in disbelief. Others changed the subject. Yet another agreed with me and laughed when I told her of my conversation with Mr. Earley. This guest had visited Auschwitz and seen shoes there, too, she told me.

 

"Ridiculous. Why would the Nazis keep shoes? And they were all basically the same style," the guest told me. And I told her about Ernst Zundel's struggle in Canada.

 

Meanwhile, I have no doubt Attorney General Earley was actually taking a survey for the holocastalists. "How many people here have visited the Holocaust Museum . . . " Virginia Republicans will perhaps have special tours arranged for them. After all, Virginia is the cradle of liberties.
