Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

 

So let's wrap up ". . . the week that was" - while looming still are three to six weeks' worth of witness testimony and cross-examinations in the ongoing Human Rights Tribunal around the contents on the Zundelsite.

 

What happened in the courtroom all this week has really soiled Canadian democracy. This will not be forgotten by freedom-loving people.

 

In a sour article that was just faxed to me, dated May 21 and titled "Christie on attack in Zundel case," the Canadian Jewish News reports the following:

 

"(Zundel Defense Attorney) Christie suggested the Talmud was "flagrantly" anti-Christian; he cited author Gore Vidal quoting John Kennedy who allegedly claimed Truman's 1948 election campaign was saved by a $20 million* (sic) donation from Zionists; he quoted Vidal as saying no other group 'hijacked' the US taxpayer for so much to pay for their homeland and he asked how that is different from Zundel's calling it 'a racket.'

 

"In barely over one hour, Christie asked question after question in which Jews inevitably came out as malefactors of some sort. He touched on the controversy over Deir Yassin, on whether Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir were terrorists; on whether the Talmud counsels deceit, and on whether speaking the truth can ever be considered anti-semitic. (...)

 

"Zundel, meanwhile, who once carried a cross to ensure himself media attention, sat quietly near Christie, wearing a black kippah."

 

That Mr. Zundel did! Here is his explanation, true to his jiu-jitsu style:

 

"Since Schweitzer said only Jews could criticize Jews without being guilty of anti-Semitism, he was asked to define who is or what makes a Jew. And, honestily, this is what Schweitzer said: 'Anyone who declares himself a Jew is a Jew.'

 

So I said to Christie that I had found the 'Final Solution' to this vexing problem of anti-Semitism with the help of Dr. Schweitzer! If I declared myself a Jew, I could criticize them to my heart's content without being an anti-Semite.

 

So I put on a kippah - and now I can be critical of Jews!"

 

Well, we laugh at these uniquely daring Zundel touches we have come to count on to make this struggle flesh-and-blood and not just charts and numbers. But what is happening is serious.

 

These are my thoughts on the submissions made by what one observer called "the rabbinical looking Mr. Freiman" regarding s.13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act:

 

Truth plays no part in the offence, and truth is no defense. In these Human Rights proceedings, truth is utterly irrelevant. The sole criterion is the effect of words.

 

In other words, is the effect of words good for Jews - or bad?

 

Some people have called this "the yardstick of Jewish morality": Is what is before us good or bad for Jews? If it is, then it is legitimate. If it is not, then it must be stopped and destroyed.

 

What is before the Holocaust promoters is a man who calls their so-called "Holocaust" a racket and an extortion scheme.

 

One gets the feeling of a Hologram effect - no pun intended here: If you really stare at it long enough, all those smudges, dots and shades suddenly become "Gestalt."

 

The "Gestalt" that we are beginning to see is that the CHRC has become an extension of the Talmud - and the "crime" of Ernst Zundel is a Talmudic "offence". Hence, it must be punished, according to the yardstick of Jewish morality.

 

Those who profess to adhere to the Christian morality might put it this way:

 

"I am free because my life is grounded in a search for the truth as the ultimate value and good. This is a search for the truth not just of facts but of the ultimate meaning and truth of the universe and my place in it.

 

"But it appears, to us at least, that a Jew's life is not grounded in truth. This was glaringly obvious from Freiman's submissions. His reaction to life is based on 'Is it good for the Jews?'

 

"The answer to this question does not rely on truth. Truth plays no part in it. The Jewish life, defined by that question, is one of shifting positions, shifting values, shifting ideologies - all with the sole end of the survival of the Jews, above all else.

 

"The Jewish quest is not one for love, justice or truth. It is a quest only for survival at all costs for the Jews.

 

"Grounding one's life in the search for truth is the ultimate freedom from others and from prejudice and from hatred, and it is the ultimate happiness in God that one can find."

 

"To deny the search for truth is profoundly anti-Christian as we have known the traditional Christian teachings. One can see why Jews are so insecure individually, and why they 'hive' together in groups.

 

"Their only security and guideposts for behavior are 'is it good for the Jews?' They therefore have no limits on their behavior and have no understanding of whether there are real dangers against them or not, since all danger - i.e. all things which put Jews in a bad light, that take away from their power etc. - are dealt with in the same way, by destruction.

 

"Thus, Ernst Zundel has become '. . . another Hitler.'

 

"There is no proportion or balance at all. To Jews, there is danger in what Zundel says because it is not good for the Jews. Therefore, Talmudic punishment must be meted out.

 

"The Jews say they are the light unto the nation. They are not. God is the light unto the nations. It appears that Jews want to be God."

 

These are not entirely my thoughts. They have been shared with me on different occasions coming from vastly diverse people who really have only one thing in common when it comes to the conflict between the Gentiles and the Jews: what is it that makes these people so allergic to being questioned on the facts as conscientious people find them?

Thought for the Day:
