Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

One of the newer, and better, websites I have come across is that of the National Journal, (try either http://abbc.com/nj or http://www.nationaljournal.com - I don't have time to check it out right now). Its publisher is Thomas Brookes, of Box 62, GB-Uckfield/E.Sussex, TN22 1ZY, United Kingdom, e-mail: thomas.brookes@usa.net

With his permission, I am posting the following Open Letter, eminently worthy of imitation and circulation, which will put a smile on your face:
Feb. 24, 1998

Dear Chancellor Helmut Kohl:

Let me begin by introducing myself to you: I am the publisher of the National Journal - including both the internet and the printed version.
I have accepted the publishing responsibility of the "National Journal" and I am writing directly to you as a sign of protest against your continuing persecution of the free spirit of the German people. As an Englishman knowledgeable in German history and politics and a great admirer of German culture, I feel duty bound to speak out forcibly against your ongoing attempts to undermine, debase and humiliate the cultural uniqueness of your own people. This not only makes me sad but also disappointed.

As a British citizen observing your legal and governmental processes, the question I am directing to you is: How can you seriously believe that you can continue to survive politically when you impose laws contravening the United Nations Charter of Human Rights? Chancellor Kohl, even parliamentarians close to you concede that your Germany is infringing human rights, as stated by Mrs. Brudlewsky in a letter to me dated Jan. 27, 1998. Mrs. Brudlewsky does not only represent your party in the German "Bundestag", but she also belongs to the Human Rights Panel of the "Bundestag".

For example, how can you as the German Chancellor ban innocent cultural activities (Heidenheim) which foster wonderful traditions of age-old German singing and dancing and the free expression of open political debate as in the period of the 1848's (National Convention) at the Pauls Church of Frankfurt?

How will future generations of Germans view the psychological cruelty and idiocy when your laws forbid any German to express openly any national feeling and is forbidden his natural right to criticise any other group, race or culture? (A)t the same time you are wonderfully willing to award Mr. Daniel J. Goldhagen the privilege of pouring a sewer of unproven, unscientific, unintelligent statements over the heads of the German nation - without one word of opposition being allowed to be raised!

How can a man of your political stature also award this stirrer of racial hatred a prize for literature of 10.000 German Marks for brazenly claiming in his book that the German people carry a Jew-killing-gene? In other words, Mr. Kohl, the German people are genetically born killers when in the presence of Jews? This logically applies also to you as a German. I implore you to keep away from all Jews in order to protect these fine people from your murderous temperament.

Chancellor Kohl, why do you continue to prosecute and punish scholars, academics and scientists who are unearthing, weekly, new information which contradicts the established version of the holocaust? Why is it such a crime for a scientist to study the subject and publish his findings? Especially when the findings are only good news? Has your intelligence department not already informed you that the Arab world has wholeheartedly taken up the holocaust issues, allowing open debate and the publications of relevant material?

The official Egypt daily "Al Ahram" has recently launched an offensive against your persecution of thought crimes, by reviewing and publishing a whole page of Ernst Zundels famous book "Did Six Million Really Die?" "Al Ahram" is also widely distributed amongst Arabs in Germany and it wouldn't be long before even Germans will be educated by the Arabs discussing this subject - thanks to your immigration policies.

Chancellor Kohl, you will become a laughing stock before history and you will become guilty before the German nation, if you continue to force your people to libel and smear themselves. In England, I can assure you, you are not held in high esteem, despite your recent award from the City of London. This was just a sophisticated political gesture.

Let me prove this to you by quoting "The Spectator" which, as you know, is the oldest and the most renowned political weekly magazine of Great Britain. In its issue of March 8, 1997 it was stated by a columnist: "Nonetheless, it is hard not to conclude that the Germany of the past was vastly superior to the one about to dominate Europe for the next millennium".

This is the German reality of 1998. Your subordinates still read "Der Spiegel" at "Bundestag"-sessions. But many of them have accessed - prior to the sessions and debates - (and) visited the homepage of the "National Journal" in order to find out what really happens. That is a very pleasant development, because only the truth can save your wonderful people, Chancellor Kohl.

Fortunately for the world the internet is now breaking the dictatorial monopoly of the modern media. Even your parliamentary associates who frequently visit the internet are being made aware of many revelations and they are becoming nervous of the coming hour of the truth.

Chancellor Kohl, your colleagues in the "Bundestag" call you already "The lying Chancellor (1)" - and, thanks to your success enforcing historical lies by the penal code, members of parliament (are) already referring to the "Bundestag" derisively as "The Imperial Lying Association (2)".

Jürgen W. Möllemann, chairman of the Rhine-Westphalia "Liberal Democratic Party" (FDP) mentioned my name and my mission. Möllemann was asked in the very popular RTL-TV-show ("Wie bitte?" - "Whaaat?") on Feb. 21, 1998 whether the people had a case when calling the German "Bundestag" a "lying club" and the German politicians "liars". Jürgen Möllemann answered the Journalist twice:

"Ask Thomas Brookes!"

Chancellor Kohl, I do hope that you find the strength to turn back, If not, I feel sorry for your future and the future of your people.

Sincerely yours,

Thomas Brookes
