Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

After my recent trip up North, I came home to an excellent summary observation of the "Holocaust Debate via Internet newsgroups" by a relative newcomer who happens to be Portuguese.

His name is Antonio Marques. With his permission, I bring you now a four-part ZGram series on what he has to say.

Prefacing Part I, I would like to journey briefly back in time.

In the summer of 1995, practicing with Nescape, I visited a number of newsgroups of political interest to me. Like most newcomers, I first "lurked" in the shadows of anonymity and then tried posting a few timid paragraphs by using my full name.

As I remember it, in those posts I asked if anybody knew Ernst Zundel - and, if they did, what did they think of him?

I had barely begun constructing the Zundelsite, whose aim, as I envisioned it, would be to translate what the man was really all about and what his message was.

I wanted to negate and neutralize the horrendously demonizing Canadian media who had really done a number on the man - a man who was, as far as I could tell, a decent German activist in Canada whose only aim, as far as I could see, was to bring honor to the German people by stopping scurrilous, unwarranted attacks on Germany pertaining to the Holocaust.

Well, barely had I stuck my toe into a handful of politically oriented newsgroups, there materialized out of the blue a most prolific "poster" whose name was Danny Keren. He told me right up front he was a Jew - and did I mind? Well? Did I mind?

I said, of course not, no! I did not mind at all - if it was fine with him that I was German and had a different point of view on history.

His response to my posts, I thought, were rather rude and baiting and out of all proportion to what I had actually asked - which was: Who knew Ernst Zundel and his work?

Danny wanted to know, rather sharply, what I had to say about somebody called Fritz Berg having said he, Keren, was a "dirty Jew."

Well, I was not Fritz Berg. I was trying to help Mr. Zundel.

"A liar and a fraud!" was Danny Keren's shriek. Did I not know about Ernst Zundel's UFOs? Did I not know Ernst Zundel had once tried organizing an expedition to the Antarctica to check on Nazi bases?

I went to other groups, still asking my small question: What was so terrifying about Ernst Zundel and his work?

There was my nemesis - right on my heels! - by then, accompanied by others who started heaving their attacks on me. More UFO howls! More talk about Antarctica and Hitler bases there.

I was advised right then and there that if I really wanted to see dirt on Mr. Zundel, there was a lot of dirt on alt.revisionism - which was where *I* belonged, which was not, it was hinted, among the civilized.

( I have to say right there that that's when I committed my one and only spam - out of sheer ignorance! Somebody showed me how to do it, and so, enthusiastically, I started with the "A"s and did a few more letters right down the alphabet before my server stopped me . . . !)

I need not say a lot about this group called alt.revisionism. Revisionists know what it is, and why it operates the way it operates.

I was just horrified! How could a decent person think that I belonged in such a filthy place? I don't recall I posted even once. Nor did I stay - believe me! That sewer, incidentally, was the place where I first met the Nizkorites.

Simultaneously, something even stranger happened: I received a number of e-mails, all of them out of Europe, all warning me about this fellow Keren, while telling me I was courageous but foolish: it was impossible to hold one's own against his brand of character assassination etc. etc..

And strangest yet, these people seemed to be afraid - three or four told me that they would change both server and ID for fear their meager endorsement of me and their stand for my right to speak up for Ernst Zundel would "hurt" them.

All this was very odd, because I just wanted to know what was so terrifying about this Zundel's message - which tells you just how green I was a mere two years ago!

Not much has changed these past two years. Newcomers to Revisionism are still driven out of the saner newsgroups and steered to alt.revisionism where, out of inexperience, they soon sink right into the swamp of accusations of "anti-Semitism", "Fascism", "Nazism" etc. etc.

Hardly a week goes by that I don't receive a query or two from rather horrified novices about what's what about those Zundel UFOs - and, is it true that Zundel planned to travel to Antarctica to see if Hitler was alive?

I am not kidding you!

All this by way of introduction into the four-part Antonio Marquis series I took the liberty of calling "Some Thoughts on Holoshlock":

"These are some remarks out of my own experience in a four month period of involuntary (at first !) "Holocaust" discussion in several English and Portuguese language newsgroups.

Revisionists who loose their time playing hide-and-seek in alt.revisionism while the thought-cops on patrol there multiply their efforts all over the Internet, may find it useful to read the following lines.

I started talking about "Holocaust" Revisionism in soc.history.what-if, the first newsgroup I visited. It happened by accident and the whole thing was quite on topic there, since a book on a fictional alternative "Holocaust" was being discussed.

I was surprised at the immediate violent reaction and name-calling, complete with the appearance of some of your favorite familiar characters from the Internet Holoshlock Patrol.

I learned there was a charter for that particular newsgroup which explicitly allowed for the "Exterminationist" view of the "Holocaust", while explicitly outlawing the "Revisionist" one.

I found this ludicrous, and after a period of discussion on the validity of such a blatant instance of attempted censorship, started posting for the first time to newsgroups in my own language (Portuguese).

I was not too astonished to find in our own Portuguese newsgroups threads calling for "apologies" to the Jewish people for alleged medieval wrongdoings, "devolution" of the "Jewish" WWII gold the neutral Portuguese must have managed to steal from the concentration camps, etc. - and, simultaneously, an ongoing discussion on the declarations of a local candidate for regional elections (who) expressed a measure of indignation about the pressures and meddling from the Jewish international organizations (such as the JWC and the Wiesenthal Center) in the Portuguese Central Bank, concerning "their" gold.

I make some comments about the "Holocaust" improbability, and -- lo ! -- the name-calling from two or three people starts, while a good number of others seem interested and receptive.

But here comes Mr. Danny Keren from the Interpol (or whatever its name is), calling me a "coward", implying that every debate on the "Holocaust" should be in English *and* in alt.revisionism (he had been duly notified by another character patrolling soc.history.what-if and following my postings through Dejanews).

I indulged him in English, though I absolutely refused to be deported to the alt.revisionism ghetto, and now have him on the run after a long exchange of articles in which he simply kept posting the same atrocity photos (unidentified) from Nizkor and repeating the same slogans from mistranslated German speeches and diaries like a crazy "Holocaust"-obsessed parrot.

My last messages, some of them concerning the amazing "Keren Theory of Body-Burning Over Wood Crisscrossings at the Bottom of Pits", awaited in vain the answer from him or any of his colleagues who appeared in the Portuguese newsgroups out of nowhere.

Other threads on the subject (in Portuguese) are, and will periodically be in those newsgroups and I'll be there whenever the "Holocaust" whining flares again.

This limited experience, however, puzzled me, and I feel I have some conclusions to share with those of you who have an interest in the "Holocaust" mythology, and its debunking.

1) THE "HOLOCAUST" DEBATE

The "Holocaust", as you well know, is the single most important political/historical taboo still defying objective public analysis. It covers not only a gigantic historical lie, but the most successful economic swindle ever (still going on strong) and the victimization of the Palestinian people.

This makes it quite impossible to debate the matter under ordinary conditions. In fact, the debate has been dead for a long time, since the evidence on the Revisionist side has effectively won the day, on the *intellectual* level, in a truly overwhelming fashion.

The "scholarly efforts" on the "Exterminationist" side to provide proofs of the purported Gas Chamber Genocide of the Jews by the Germans have stopped dead on their tracks. By now, even the most enthusiastic of the once arrogant "Holocaust " peddlers knows this is a lost cause on its way to the dust bin where it belongs.

It will go down in History as the most notorious and durable instance of successful war propaganda in the century of totalitarianism, and that's that.

2) THE "HOLOCAUST" RELIGION

Faced with such bleak prospects for their life's work, the establishment scholars of the "Holocaust" nowadays limit their public interventions to whining noises about the non-importance of the ghostly gas chambers, which they once championed in such an extremely audible way.

They rarely talk about population statistics, documentary proof, the validity of testimony or the soundness of the post-war show-trials.

Instead they retreat into silence, avoid "yes" or "no" answers to the easy elementary questions, substitute religious feelings about the "sacredness" of the survivor's memories for the scientific analysis of the problem, and try to get away with this by lending their support to, or indulging into, ubiquitous round-the-clock public celebrations of the "Shoah" through show-business, the media, and memorial museums on an enormous scale, consecrating the Gas Chambers fraud the World over.

In other words, the "Holocaust" is no longer the object of intellectual debate, inquiry or contradiction, but rather of a massive all-out propaganda assault and effort at damage control, in order to allow the biggest worldwide hoax of them all to go on unabated into the next millennium - after more than half a century of scurrilous lies and astronomical profits."
