COMMUNISTS RIOT IN CLEVELAND
On Sunday, May 18, 1997, a group of several hundred of your friends and neighbors met quietly at the Lithuanian Hall on East 185th Street to exercise their First Amendment rights and to hear David Duke speak.
The audience attending this speech was a mixed group of young and elderly, men and women, single persons and families with children. The hall had been legally leased for this event, which was conducted in a civilized and peaceful manner.
Media disinformation to the contrary, no crosses were going to be burned, no Negroes were about to be lynched, nor Jews "holocausted". The only noteworthy event anticipated, aside from high expectations for an eloquent speech on a matter of personal interest to the audience, was a bake sale, put on by some of the ladies in attendance. The remarkably delicious cookies and cakes which were available were said to be revolutionary.
Just prior to the beginning of the speech, around 6:00 PM, a crowd of howling demonstrators appeared on the scene. They came with protest signs and banners. These signs and banners were affixed to heavy sticks that were apparently designed, according to some worried audience members, to double up as clubs.
The demonstrators immediately began to work themselves into a frenzy, screaming obscenities and chanting slogans such as "hey, hey, ho, ho, free speech has got to go!"
When it became apparent that their verbal abuse was not going to deter honest citizens from the exercise of their constitutional rights, the protester's quickly resorted to that which they knew best - the use of violence.
Several of the wild-eyed protesters rushed the building with sticks and rocks, breaking windows and attempting to assault one elderly couple who were approaching the entry door. The glass of the door was shattered by a rock, and a full scale riot began.
The police quickly responded to the scene, and several officers were assaulted by the rioters. One screeching and clawing individual, dressed in filthy rags, jumped on the back of an officer and attempted to strangle him from behind.
Again, media disinformation to the contrary, the officers dealt with the situation in a highly professional manner. No more force was used than what was was necessary for self-defense and to effect the arrest of the rioters.
At that point, many of the rioters scattered, running in all directions. Four of the more violent ones were, however, caught by police and were arrested. (...)
Charges filed against them included: Aggravated Riot, Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Escape.
The foursome were taken into custody and jailed in lieu of substantial bond. One of the rioters . . . attempted to accuse police of assaulting him and breaking his nose while in jail. (...)
ON JULY 10TH, 1997 JUDGE MCMONAGLE, IN SPITE OF PLEAS FROM FEARFUL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AND OUTRAGED POLICE OFFICERS, ALLOWED ALL CHARGES TO BE DROPPED AND SIMPLY LET THEM ALL GO.
WHY?
These rioters are not simply the spoiled and disenfranchised children of dysfunctional and neurotic upper-middle class parents. Indeed, the group which coordinated this riot, the so-called A.R.A., (Anti-Racist-Action) has been tied to numerous acts of international terrorism, including contacts with ARA chapters under investigation for several parcel bombings in Canada and the mailing of packages containing razor-bladed mouse-traps described as being laced with AIDS - along with threatening communiques. The violent-prone Toronto ARA has received documented government support with the endorsement of organizations such as B'nai Brith Canada.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have recently sworn out and executed a 63 page Search Warrant to Canadian authorities regarding ARA members. This document details the actions of one of the most violent and extensive terror networks in the Americas with tentacles all over the globe and with ties to other dangerous Marxist-anarchist groups worldwide. Groups such as the ARA have murky political connections and seem to be acting under the direction of invisible intelligence and money. They can organize on very short notice and are remarkably informed on issues known in the vernacular as "politically incorrect." Who are these groups and individuals? Who are the handlers of these groups, and who furnishes them with "guidance" and funds needed for their world-wide terror? Why is the American judiciary so lenient with them?"Thought for the Day:
