Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

One of the most powerful two words seared into me at an impressionable age came from a passage Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote, explaining how, as a young, bushy-tailed, enthusiastic Communist, he had never doubted the system until the knock came to his door.

In utter astonishment he said to the person who was sent to arrest him:

"Who? Me?"

Yes, you. The person coming for your life and liberty will be explaining it to you: "I do not have to prove to you that you are guilty. You have to prove to me that you are innocent."

In the early days in Canada, Ernst Zundel could count on professionals of integrity within the police force who protected the constitutional rights of political dissidents against attacks from hostile sources. This has changed in recent years, driving many older Anglo-Saxons into early retirement. as individual policemen, distressed at what is happening within their very ranks, have been admitting privately.

This is, as Ernst believes, due to the ethnic changes within the police forces, along with multi-cult regulations, in preparation for the acceptance of a more ruthless enforcement of the hideous "hate laws" that have been locked in place in Canada and are well on the way to being locked in place in the United States, according to informed insiders.

Here is one such perspective from a security officer commenting on "sensitivity training" to police units supplied by groups such as B'nai Brith.

"Thanks for the most useful ZGram concerning the Canadian police chiefs. Patriots all across the White world need to realize that the "men in blue", who in the past would generally stand up against such open tyranny, are slowly but surely being squeezed into enforcing such abuses.

Those who openly resist the pressure are forced out; new recruits, already members of the heavily brain-washed younger generation, are indoctrinated with the latest propaganda designed to motivate them to act willingly against "hate".

I speak personally here, for while I was not a police officer per se, I was a security officer at (name deleted) in Atlanta, Georgia - a hotbed of leftist activism.

Until July of last year the chief of the Police Department (the campus police who mistreated David Irving) . . . has since moved to Israel as the chief of security of a kibbutz. Although his replacement is a Gentile, the department continues to carry (the first chief's) imprint.

While I was working on the campus, I would make an effort to get the campus student newspaper to see what "hate" crime was the current focus of "investigation." Predictably, many of the incidents were acts of "racism" staged by Blacks to incite turmoil on campus.

The usual result of the agitation was a news conference by the head of the Black Student Alliance, followed by a protest march to denounce "racism," - as if any "racist" would want to waste his money on an "education" there in the first place! The whole spectacle really enraged me.

(A)t one point there was talk of having us security people brought under the police charter and made bona fide peace officers. This scared me to no end, because I was already known as being less than enthusiastic about all of the wonderful plans in store for (the place of my employment) and Atlanta in general, specifically the Olympics.

I knew full well that once I had been compelled to swear an oath to "defend" the Constitution, I would be easy pickings for whatever they cared to throw at me.

What kind of man is this (new police chief)? I cannot claim to know him intimately, but I could see his political views and his ambitions very well. Hungry for power - his actions and words, no matter how he tried to sugar-coat them, oozed with ambition. An accomplished liar, he would not hesitate to tell anything to anyone if he saw some advantage to doing so. And he could play a good con game, too.

In this vein, he openly contracted with regional police and sheriffs' agencies for contracts to guard prisoners while they were in the hospital. There were two such incidents while I was working there: one in May 1996, when we guarded a 20 year old Black male who had been shot through the chest while making a "home invasion"; the second, in June 1996, when we had custody of a Black female who had already been convicted of murder, and by Georgia law was already in the custody of the corrections system.

Imagine that, private citizens, untrained in the methods of correction officers, having custody of state prisoners . . . "

This correspondent then goes on to explain a specific unpleasant experience with some hospitalized patient criminals, and adds:

"Of course, I realize that this incident is in no way related to "hate" crimes, but I just wanted to show you how the people who are at the cutting edge of the "thought crimes" movement are utterly depraved in other ways as well.

The idea of private citizens having custody of state prisoners really shocked me, because with the Olympics only a month away, we had also been told that we would have to enforce diplomatic law, AS IF WE WERE POLICE OFFICERS.

Ominously, the example of the Israeli prime minister, Peres, being insulted by "neo-nazis" was specifically mentioned in an in-service training session as an example of where we would have to make an arrest. Failure to act on our part would result in our arrest for neglect in carrying out our "duty" under U.S. law regarding diplomatic immunity for foreign officials.

Unfortunately for my personal cause, I expressed my indignation at being forced, as a private citizen under the threat of state action, to "protect" Shimon Peres (as if his Mossad thugs couldn't do that anyway!). I lost my job before the Olympics began, so the dilemma was avoided.

What can I say? The obstacles you cited to U.S. law enforcement officers being perverted into Orwellian thought police now exist in name only. The mentality needed to execute the transition is already there, sown and carefully nurtured by the same villains who have undermined everything else in our world.

It is my understanding that (our enemies) in the U.S. are ready to reopen the "hate" crime front on which they were stalemated a couple of years ago - speech codes and the like. If they succeed here, the precedent will be set and every leftist or judge in the nation will exploit it to demolish what is left of the 1st and 2nd Amendments. God help us then."

Citizens groomed to arrest citizens? Getting arrested themselves if they don't? It's not a pretty thought.

Ingrid

Thought for the Day:

"Almost certainly we are moving into an age of totalitarian dictatorships. An age in which freedom of thought will be at first a deadly sin and later on a meaningless abstraction."

(George Orwell)
