Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

You think that we will soon be done with O.J. Simpson? Don't hold your breath, and don't think that this item does not quite fit into your average Zundelsite topics. Sit back and take it in and then tell me "what's what" - for one more twist has come to light in the already more-than-bizarre O.J. Simpson saga.

Like most of America, I was shocked by the antics of the "Dream Team."

Like most of America, I watched the "race card" being played by Johnny Cochran so blatantly.

Like most of America, I was not surprised by the verdict, considering the spineless response of the lying Mark Fuhrman and the incredibly poor performance of the L.A.P.D. personnel.

Like most of America, I was irked by the permanent smirk on the face of the arrogant Jewish society lawyer Robert Shapiro whenever he appeared in public, and like most of thinking America, I was NOT surprised by the verdict, considering the composition of the jury.

Today I am surprised. I am surprised by the latest twist in the never-ending O.J. Simpson Tale, to be found, of all places, on the Jewish Defense League webpage.

And here is what it says, under the heading "Remorseful Simpson Attorney Turns OJ's Debt Over to JDL":

"Robert Shapiro, lawyer for O.J. Simpson in his criminal trial, has repented his involvement in the Simpson murder case. After an hour-long meeting with Shapiro on Thursday, December 19, 1996, Jewish Defense League National Chairman Irv Rubin emerged with a generous donation to the Jewish activist group and an admission from Shapiro that he has personal regrets about his defense of Simpson and that he is still shocked by Johnny Cochran's amoral comparison of L.A.P.D. Det. Mark Fuhrman to Adolf Hitler.

Shapiro also gave the JDL permission to take possession of the $500,000 legal debt owed to him by Simpson. Rubin said, "Bob is totally alienated by O.J.'s lack of payment. Not only is Simpson a murderer; he's also a bad pay. Simpson's got no class at all."

Rubin is looking forward to doing everything in his power to legally satisfy this debt. "O.J. had better go back to the Bahamas to get the money that he's stashed away because we're not going to let him get away with another crime," said Rubin.

What will the JDL do with the money it can collect from Simpson? "The first thing we'll do is to create a monument to murdered Jew Ron Goldman," said Rubin. "We will not let his short life be forgotten."

(end of website text)

Tell me it just ain't so! Can it be true, even in our surreal times, that such a well-connected and high profile Jewish society lawyer like Robert Shapiro would be so reckless as to say the things Irv Rubin claims? Much less give that terrorist group a "generous donation"?

What do you make of someone like Robert Shapiro virtually siccing the Jewish Defense League on O.J. - using this group, known to police for their violent record, to collect a "legal debt" for him? What would the governing body of the lawyers in California have to say to such tactics? What will the Black community now think?

Somebody tell me that it cannot be - for if it were, would it not show even to casual observers that things seem to be spinning right out of control?

Does anybody have a better take on it? If so, please let me know.

Ingrid

"If you see in any given situation only what everybody else can see, you can be said to be so much a representative of your culture that you are a victim of it."
