Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

One of my favorite passages comes from Will and Ariel Durant:

"Civilization is a stream with banks. The stream is sometimes filled with blood from people killing, stealing, shouting and doing things historians usually record - while on the banks, unnoticed, people build homes, make love, raise children, sing songs, write poetry and even whittle statues.

The story of civilization is the story of what happened on the banks. Historians are pessimists because they ignore the banks for the river."

Here is what I am telling you: On the banks of our bloody century there quietly grows a new crop of youngsters I herewith christen the Renaissance Generation.

This generation will replace the Flower Children, the Hippies, the Yuppies, and the Generation X. These are young students of Aryan background who have decided to assert themselves - and do so not with yelps and shrieks and in that wrecking spirit that passes for "political correctness" but in a manner that does pride and justice to their roots.

Below are two representative examples.

"Here in California we are VERY LUCKY just to have a club at all. Every other ethnic groups has several clubs (Vietnamese Nurses, Vietnamese Engineers) etc. There has NEVER been an Irish or Celtic club here at all as far as I know.

I am bilingual (Spanish) and into other cultures. However, what I have noticed is that the university is extremely ethnocentric. Each ethnic group supports its own kids.

For example, the Portuguese community has a professor on campus who provides emotional and financial support to the students. The Portuguese community provides scholarship administered through this professor's office. They have a "place" on the large campus.

Other groups like Latinos, Africans, Jewish Americans, and others have courses and scholarships available for their students. There are literally millions of dollars of tax money in scholarships for students who belong to a culture that is considered "diverse".

There is so much money available for Vietnamese students, for example, that the school can't find enough students to spend it on!!! This is federal and state money - your taxes. This money is available to millionaires' children as long as they are considered to be diverse.

An Irish person is not diverse, he is classified as "white" or white-bred. There is not a dime for an Irish American student living in his car because he is not considered to be diverse.

The Irish students have literally been "pushed away" from the university, especially low and middle income students, and the many Irish students from single parent homes like myself.

I am currently on a grant intended for a Latino student, but since I have near-native fluency, I was able to qualify for it. But no one offered it to me. I had to fight for it.

By the way, many student clubs receive Ford Foundation and other grants. The Chinese students receive money from their community. All groups help their kids either by lobbying for grants from taxpayers/foundations, or donating it to their ethnic group's club on campus.

Did you know that the various ethnic groups have segregated graduation parties for their own co-ethnics, paid for by the taxpayers and the students' fees from the student body? Various groups such as Filipinos, Latinos, and African Americans have their own separate graduation celebrations that are segregated but paid for by taxpayer money.

Our culture is booming, despite the hate and neglect of the dominant culture. Our dance, the beautiful Irish dance, is absoutely astounding in its growth. Our language, Irish Gaelic, is being studied in our community. All of this without the benefit of the massive grants received by other groups.

Please discuss these issues without using slurs. All groups deserve respect. Please refer to different groups as they wish to be designated. I don't want to be called a "mick" for example - I am an American of Irish descent.

I think it is important to discuss these issues in a respectful manner. I think others need to be aware of where their taxes are going. I am posting this on germanica-l as the Germanic American students are treated the same as the Irish or worse!!

Anybody who is interested in Irish/Celtic issues can contact me at MaryCelt @aol.com."

There must be hundreds of thousands of youngsters like Mary (and "Kevin", below) on our campuses. I had a modest pizza with him the other day because he happened to be in my area.

I met him and half a dozen of his friends a few weeks ago up North when he invited me to speak at his college. Morris Dees of the "Southern Poverty Law Center" had just been up there doing a mighty smear on television on behalf of New World Order interest and against them for wanting their own ethnic club. As might have been expected, this caused a lot of flak - which only caused these students to link arms, close ranks and quietly solidify their front.

Kevin is a quiet, thoughtful youngster from a military family. At present, he is training for a military career with the marines. You would never notice Kevin in a crowd. He is absolutely unpretentious but quietly focused on what now needs to happen.

One of his ideas - and it is an excellent one - is to use tapes to penetrate the biases of academia. Here is what Kevin wrote in follow-up:

"I have now found the Irving tape that we will use next year. I would like to send you a copy so you will know why so many people are convinced by watching one of his lectures.

We will also be distributing the Irving video to college Profs. We will include a letter claiming we are concerned students who want to know if the material is wrong or not.

I believe these Profs will feel obligated to at least watch the video and respond. If they do watch the video, they will be changed, whether they want to admit it or not.

They will have to ask themselves, "I wonder if they have something here?"

Kevin and his friends have just about completed what they call a "Revisionist page" as part of their efforts to launch a nation-wide outreach program into other colleges. The URL is: http://www.wsu.edu:8080/~lpauling

If you know of young people who are interested in rolling up their sleeves on their own campuses, please have them get in touch with the webmaster of this web page or have them write to me, and I will channel them to other contacts that I have - for instance, an excellent contact in Ohio where another quiet American-European nucleus is forming.

Have a nice week! And keep your toes crossed for the upcoming San Diego Convention where all of us expect surprises coming from the Buchanan camp.

Ingrid

Thought for the Day:

"Persons who would be placed outside the pale of society with contempt are not those who would be placed there by another culture."
