Good Morning from the Zundelsite:



Remember some time ago I mentioned in a previous ZGram that Canada Customs had seized a copy of "The Jefferson Bible" as "hate literature"? This book was sent to Ernst Zundel (along with other literature ordered from the Institute for Historical Review) because Ernst wanted to restock his library, torched to the howls of the mob and dances of the hora in the streets and sidewalks of Toronto.

Where there is force applied-such as the seizing of writings deemed "hateful" and "inciting violence" protecting certain ethnic groups at the expense of others-there will be counter-force resisting it. Some of it, we are happy to report, comes from a notable source in Australia, the Australian Civil Liberties Union.

In the Adelaide Institute's April 1996 issue, I found the following letter, worthy of sharing with both our friends and foes alike. The letter pertains to a book that I happen to have read (written by Nigel Jackson - The Case for David Irving) that chastizes the beholden powers of the Government of Australia for banning David Irving's books.

Irving, as many people know, is one of Europe's foremost historical authors who writes in the popular vein. He is also, thanks to the Second (1988) Great Holocaust Zundel trial, at which he saw the light about the so-called "Holocaust", an outspoken Revisionist.

As many of us know, David Irving's books have been banned from Canada-as Irving has, in person, not for what he has said, but for what he MIGHT say-and someone by the name of Geoffrey Muirden, Secretary of the Australian Civil Liberties Union, came up with the following as a challenge to Revenue Canada:

Dear Mr. Oliver:

Thank you for your letter dated 16 November 1995, in which you inform me that Nigel Jackson's book, The Case for David Irving, is defined as "hate propaganda" in the Criminal Code.

Since you are so disturbed about "hate propaganda", I enclose details of the Jewish Talmud, which has been distributing hate against the "goyim" (itself a hateful term, since it means "human cattle", the Jews only permitting themselves to be fully human).

Enclosed are summaries of the hateful comments about Christ, Christians and Christianity, which would, of course, make it liable as hate propaganda.

I draw your attention, for example, to the hate mongering and blasphemous reference to Christ as the illegitimate son of a liaison of intercourse between His mother, Mary, and Pandira, a Roman soldier. Christ is also called a "fool" who "corrupts his morals and dishonours himelf" and "died like a beast and is buried in an animal's dirt heap".

This is hateful enough, but it doesn't stop there. I've underlined some of the most hateful expressions in the Talmud.

Hateful references to Christians as "idolaters", Christians "have sex with animals", Jews are "innocent of murder if intended to kill a Christian". This is of course an incitement to murder. Christians idoleters likened to cows and asses; Christians are like unclean beasts; non-Jews' souls go straight to hell. Jews can lie and perjure to condemn a Christian; name of God not profaned when lying to Christians; and Jews can perjure themselves with a clear conscience. The last is, of course, an incitement to lie and cheat.

I feel sure you will be disgusted with this "hate propaganda" and please let me know how many raids you make on Jewish synagogues in Canada to seize the hateful Talmud and destroy it-also, of course, arresting rabbis who dispense this filth.

It can only be a lack of understanding of this hate propaganda in the midst of Canadians that has hindered your actions against this in the past. Now (that) you have been advised, please keep me informed of actions against Jews dispensing the Talmud, reading this filth at synagogues, which will have to be invaded to take away copies of this corrupting literature.

I await details of your moral crusade with great interest.

As with so many other good ideas that come across the ZGRam desk, I like this one and wish that we would make a test case. Instead of spending so much money, time and energy on saying WE are innocent of indiscriminate hate, we ought to turn the tables and ask if those who cash in on artificial guilt by calling us "hate mongers" are innocent of hate mongering themselves.

However, Ernst tells me that in each province in Canada, the provincial Attorney General must give his consent before a "hate prosecution" is started. "So far", says Ernst, "every attempt that I know of has been thwarted by those "gate-keepers" at the ATO. Also, the hate law specificially excludes religious expression from prosecution. Muirden's letter is nice, but won't move Canada Customs one bit."
