Good Morning from the Zundelsite:



Two months ago, on March 15, '96, a Toronto court threw out the charges sworn out by Sabina Citron against Ernst Zündel, accused of having "defamed" such Jewish notables as Simon Wiesenthal, Rabbi Cooper of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Beate Klarsfeld and others. Why? A specialist from the Ontario General's Office in Hate Prosecutions refused to continue the prosecution of Ernst's writings because they were open to differing interpretations-and, hence, "unwinnable" in a criminal suit. The judge promptly dropped the charges.

Enraged at having been thwarted even by the Attorney General's Department in her decades-long campaign to silence her political enemy's revisionist message, Citron vowed to the press and through her lawyers in open court that she would sue Ernst in civil court-and, thus, "they" would be back.

This multi-millionaire and one-time president of the Canadian Holocaust Remembrance Association, according to reporters on the West Coast, immediately started soliciting donations from Jewish groups and individuals across the land for her war chest to get ready to do what she had threatened to do-to finish off Ernst Zündel.

She didn't lose any time. This time around, she has declared HERSELF defamed. (She could have done that from the start, but then she would have had to pay for a defamation or libel suit herself right from the start as well . . .)

Friday, May 24, '96 At 5:00 p.m. and just in time to spoil a perfectly fine weekend-a jaundiced tactic that has been used before-the following was hand-delivered to the Zündel-Haus:

"Dear Sirs:

RE: Zundelsite Website

We are the solicitors for Sabina Citron in connection with a notice of libel arising from material published by you on the Zundelsite website on the internet. While it is our position that it is not required in these circumstances, we are providing you with a notice of libel which gives you notice of our client's complaint."

Along with this letter came 39 specific charges of libel against material published on the Zundelsite-and some of them are jewels to exult a Revisionist's heart!, while others are real doozies which, I predict, will turn into amazing boomerangs.

I talked to Ernst just briefly yesterday because he was in the middle of broadcast production and didn't have much time to give me a good feel for what this new move means. Therefore what I am sharing below is purely speculation that danced around my head last night, for whatever thoughts and actions might be triggered in the minds of those who truly understand what this is all about.

Here goes:

  1. What will play in court this time around will be a much purer case of Holocaust Hucksterism on Trial. It will not be vague charges such as ". . . what might have been in a man's mind when he lied. . ." as was the case before when Ernst stood accused of "spreading false news" and where a jury was asked to DIVINE if Ernst could tell the difference between what he BELIEVED was true and what he KNEW was true.

  3. This time around, Ernst Zündel will defend himself against specific charges, such as ". . . Mrs. Citron enforces false historical facts" and ". . . Mrs. Citron engages in a parasitic extortion racket."

  5. This is a civil, private suit. It means that the range has been narrowed. In previous legal battles, where tax payers footed the bill for the prosecution, there was a vested interest by the ruling political oligarchy in Canada and on the part of lapdog media to present a certain slant. This time this covert curb on Political Correctness will not be as restrictive. A lot of information will come out which will surprise people.

  7. What I mean here is something analogous to the upcoming O.J. Simpson trial where everybody looks forward to the ". . . get to the real meat!" story that was kept from the public eye in the criminal and, from a legal point of view, grotesquely castrated trial.

  9. One cannot help but think that what will play this summer in Ottawa in the Citizenship Application hearings is anything but clear, as far as the outcome on behalf of Holocaust Hucksterism is concerned. Why else this new, dark cannon? Why the expense and trouble of this suit for the Zionist side, if Zündel's deportation from Canada and incarceration in Germany ar= e already a foregone conclusion?

  11. In light of Ernst's legal counter-moves in Ottawa that puts a corrupt government agency and its beholden pawns on notice, right from the start a lot of ears pricked up. There must be doubts in certain circles that the government can easily win a clear-cut victory and ship Ernst off to prison-a long-voiced goal of every Zionist bigwig in Canada.

  13. Finally-and this is esoteric but cuts to the core of this struggle: what those engaged in Holocaust Hucksterism have never understood is the profoundly mystical magnificence that poises and grounds people like Ernst Zündel.

We aren't talking freedom, or loss of freedom, here. We aren't talking money. We aren't talking hardship-grief, obstacles, vicissitude, distress, woe, heartbreak, sorrow, sacrifice-not even death, as a whole war-time generation of Germans has proven.

We're talking honor-the honor of a once-defeated people. This is about the resurrection of an entire nation that will one day be cleansed from false guilt.

I know this for a fact, for we have talked about it: For people like Ernst Zündel, the outcome does not matter except in superficial terms. The outcome is already written in the stars.

What matters is the knowledge that when it comes to manliness as evidenced in standing up for his own folk and his own tribe whom Ernst sees gravely menaced, no price will be too steep, no road too hard to travel.
