I am back! Sorry I skipped the past two Sunday summaries, but I was traveling in California. I am now back at the Zundelsite helm.
Here are the items that caught my interest:
Our enemies are behaving ever more strangely. After suppressing a manuscript for more than 100 years - a manuscript described as "anti-Semitic" because it claims to document human sacrifice by Jews in their rituals - the Board of Deputies of British Jews put it up for auction. However, according to Richard Allen Greene of the Jewish Telegraph agency of June 6, 2001: "The result of Wednesday's auction was both disappointing and humiliating..."
The manuscript, entitled "Human Sacrifice Among the Sephardine [sic] or Eastern Jews," by the 19th-century explorer Sir Richard Burton, was described by Lord Janner, a former president of the Board, as "...immoral...worse than pornography" and a "grotesque error."
Janner bewailed the results of this auction as "..."the worst of both worlds - the contents of this disgraceful document have been publicized, and the Board has not raised the resources it needs."
Oy vey!
One enterprising London rabbi was so panicky that he suggested his congregation raise money "...to buy the book to keep it out of the hands of anti-Semites."
One other point needs to be made. No synagogues were stoned as a result of this auction and the contents of the book becoming known. No Jew was harmed, and no gravestones were defaced. So the censorship of the book for an entire century was totally unjustified and only based on Jewish paranoia.
The same as with Revisionism "having to be censored"! All the shrieking and wailing that Revisionism will cause "anti- Semitism" was totally disproved by Jews themselves by studies in Canada of the headline-making Zündel trials. The trials resulted in historical truth, not anti-Semitism.
Incidentally, far more in-depth studies of this issue of "gentile child sacrifice" were conducted in the Third Reich, resulting in 500 page volumes, available in the Underground.
The second John Demjanjuk trial has come and gone after seven days of testimony, and a judge will now decide if the accused "Nazi death camp guard" should lose his citizenship, since his detractors did not succeed in hanging an innocent man. A decision is not expected for several weeks.
Should Demjanjuk be stripped of his US citizenship, he will be deported to the Ukraine with much fanfare. Jewish vengeance will one more time have succeeded in using the US Government as a tool.
Politically incorrect historical revisionism is causing tragic casualties even in public schools.
"Let's hear it for diversity and tolerance," wrote a ZGram reader who sent me a disturbing article about a 13-year-old Houston, Texas boy, Ryan Zane Oleichi, who had checked out a book about Robert E. Lee and was kicked in the head so viciously that he had to be sent, unconscious, to the hospital.
As reported in a Southern patriot newsletter, a black classmate asked Ryan what he was looking at. "What is that?" he asked. "It's a book." "Why do you have that flag on it?" "It's the only one in the school library," Ryan responded. At that point, a Hispanic student chimed in: "You racist! I'm gonna kick your a--!" followed by other invectives.
After school, the two caught Ryan outside the fence. The first beat Ryan to the ground, and the second kicked Ryan in the head repeatedly until he lay unconscious at their feet.
It looks like Revisionism, Southern style, is getting just as dangerous for kids in public school as Holocaust Revisionism did for Dr. Faurisson of France, who was similarly severely beaten by Jewish attackers in 1989 for "Holocaust denial."
According to an AP report of June 6, 2001 and various other sources, the Poles have started exhuming the alleged mass grave of "...Jews massacred by their Polish neighbors in 1941."
This is a story with a twist. Instead of the original 1,600 victims claimed and debited to the German army, a partial exhumation "...indicated there could be 150-250 victims on and near the site of the barn."
Forensic studies will now be able to determine how these people died - of what causes, and if they were even Jews as claimed.
However, Jewish leaders worry that debates over numbers and other minor details "...might be used to blur the horror of the crime." They feel that further digging would only desecrate the grave.
Why miss a valuable precedent? The Germans should now demand that such areas claimed as "mass graves" like Babi Yar, Treblinka etc. should also be dug up. We Revisionists know already that the results will be the same. Ground radar can tell us a lot. Likewise, the Palestinians should exhume the graves of the victims of Deir Yassin to prove in what a gruesome fashion many of these wretched people died, and how many.
An AP report from Tokyo tells us that a history textbook that has been bitterly criticized by Japan's neighbors for whitewashing its military aggression in Asia is on its way to becoming a best seller.
Various Asian countries have criticized the Japanese government for approving the text, which critics say "...distorts history and glosses over atrocities committed by the Japanese military in the years leading up to World War II."
In Miami Beach, survivors of the "Voyage of the Damned" gathered to receive apologies from various dignitaries while everyone recalled "...those who perished during the Holocaust." About 15,000 Holocaust survivors live in south Florida today.
Members of the All Americas Convocation, a Christian organization, helped organize a reunion of more than 40 survivors of the SS St. Louis, a luxury liner barred from docking on Cuban and American soil in 1939, all with German government approved exit visas and travel papers.
With 937 Jewish refugees aboard, the ship left Germany before World War II, "...bound for freedom from Nazi rule." But Cuba didn't want them, after first agreeing to take them, and neither did the state of Florida.
All that is now regretted and duly apologized for. Survivors were welcomed by organizers who blew shofars, a ceremonial ram's horn, and listened as Christian speakers sought forgiveness for the Holocaust.
In Allied-created, modern Germany, savage raids against politically incorrect citizens continue. As the mainstream papers trumpet, German Police raided "Extreme-right Party Headquarters" of the National Democratic Party (NPD) in Berlin and confiscated materials belonging to one of the lawyers of the party, Horst Mahler.
Similar raids took place in the western city of Hamburg and the southern city of Wuerzburg. A large number of documents were seized in the searches, and many of them were related to an investigation against Mahler "for suspected incitement," as one official put it deftly.
"Mahler, 65, is suspected of operating Internet sites with anti-Semitic and anti-foreigner contents," a spokesman for the government noted. Raids like these would be illegal in America because of the existence of the First Amendment now - but what about tomorrow?
A "World War II Memorial firm" stands accused of having had "Nazi ties" because it allegedly once upon a time used Jewish concentration camp labor. This calls for a "government probe."
Sen. Charles Schumer, a well-known Democrat from New York, feels that the issue ought to be investigated. At stake is a $65 million contract held by Tompkins Builders and its owner, one Philipp Holzmann. The project was recently approved by Congress, but then questioned because of its design - described as "architecture favored by the Nazis" - as well as its "prominent location."
''We were shocked to see that our government agencies apparently didn't know,'' Judy Feldman, co-chair of the National Coalition to Save Our Mall, said Wednesday.
And therein lies the rabbit in the pepper, as Germans might have said. Who wants competition on "Our Mall" where the taxpayer-supported Jewish Holocaust memorial has the "victimhood" platform all to itself?
And speaking of that incident: According to Monika Scislowska, an Associated Press writer,
"The planned inscription for a new memorial to Jews massacred by Poles in 1941 is being changed after Jewish protest over a passage that deflected blame to the Nazis." (...)
The inscription will still contain the following in Polish, Hebrew and Yiddish: ''In memory of the Jews of Jedwabne and surrounding areas, men, women, and children, fellow-dwellers of this land, murdered and burned alive at this site on 10 July 1941. Jedwabne, July 10, 2001.'' The original text blamed ''Gestapo and Nazi soldiers'', but was removed in March.
Konstanty Gebert, a Jewish journalist, likes the new description.
''The inscription does not identify the perpetrators of the crime, but that satisfies me. We know who killed Jews in Jedwabne that day.''
What's that? Jews revising history to shift blame ***away*** from the hated Nazis? Might it have anything to do with the fact that Polish land is up for grabs in a brand new extortion scheme?
"These people are insane," wrote the ZGram reader who sent me a brief article titled "French Railroad Sued by Holocaust Survivors" written by Grant McCool of Reuters.
Holocaust survivors have decided to target the French national railroad with a class action suit, accusing it of "...profiting from transporting tens of thousands of people, mostly Jews, to Nazi Germany death camps and slave labor camps during World War II."
"They worked directly with the Nazis, they picked the routes, they selected the cars," opined Harriet Tamen, one of six lawyers representing about 100 survivors.
That class action suit will surely endear the Jews to the French!
Revisionism is on such a roll that its long arm reaches even into Israel. The Jewish Telegraph agency in its "News at a Glance" column of June 14, 2001, relying on Ha'aretz, reports that
"...Israeli officials are up in arms over reports about an investigative piece that the BBC plans to air...The show will focus on whether Prime Minister Ariel Sharon should be tried for war crimes in connection with the Sabra and Shatilla massacre of Palestinian civilians by Christian militiamen during the 1982 Lebanon war."
Israel claims haughtily that this is nothing but "old news." This is Talmudic logic.
Jewish crimes committed in 1982 - twenty years ago - is nothing but "old news". Alleged Nazi crimes of over 60 years ago are still "new" news, with headlines morning, noon and night and nauseating vilification of Germans. The chutzpah of these people knows no bounds!
Even the United Nations jumped on the bandwagon to "honor Holocaust Survivors."
Edith Lederer of the Associated Press lets us know that the UN "...paid posthumous tribute Wednesday to the Holocaust survivor who coined the word 'genocide' and led the campaign for a treaty declaring the mass killing of humans an international crime." More than 200 human rights experts, lawyers, Jewish leaders and U.N. officials gathered to recognize the efforts of one Raphael Lemkin who would have turned 100 this week, had he survived a little longer.
There were calls at this merry get-together "...to honor his legacy by getting every country to ratify the convention, ensuring that the United States becomes a pillar of the permanent international war crimes tribunal (Lemkin) envisioned, and arresting all those accused of crimes against humanity in former Yugoslavia and Rwanda."
They never miss a beat, do they? One more time they think nothing of exploiting a dead man in a politically correct ceremony to serve their tribal agenda.
Fidel Castro has been trotted out by Ha'aretz of June 15, 2001 as an arch-enemy of Israel because he led thousands of Cubans in a political rally to express support for Palestinians and condemn Israeli "genocide" in the Middle East conflict.
"We want to demand the end of the genocide against our brother Arab nation," one student orator, Dayron Roque Lazo, told the 10,000-strong crowd.
(There is a grave in Cuba, incidentally, where "Jewish Soap" is buried!)
"Lawyers make millions in Holocaust cases; victims awarded up to $7,500 US," reads one AP headline, also of June 15, 2001. More than 52 Million have been divvied up by 51 attorneys from what is called "Arbitrators in Washington" for legal fees for their work.
Yet one more evidence proving that "Revisionism" is ever expanding its impact and outreach to other ethnic groups. More than 50 years after World War II ended, the city council of Upland, California, rescinded a resolution adopted June 17, 1943 that questioned the loyalty of Japanese-Americans after the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
"It's about principle," Councilman Ken Willis announced. "It's something we wish had never occurred but it did." This happened after an Upland resident, Nobu Ikeda, a Japanese - American, read a movie review about the new film, "Pearl Harbor.''
There is a lesson here for Germans and other timid souls. All it took for one single Japanese resident to speak up - and look at the result.
This one made me smile. One Elli Wohlgelernter (translated "Well-educated") bewails that "Holocaust denial is finding increasing acceptance in certain Arab circles as part of their anti-Israel propaganda", describing it as a "troubling phenomenon."
This from the Jerusalem Post of last week. The third paragraph can be seen as indicative of the flavor of this screed:
"After all, regardless of the facts argued over land, territories, borders and ownership within this region, contending that it wasn't six million murdered in the Holocaust, but three or one, is a non-starter to all but neo- Nazis and crackpots; and claiming that Chelmno, Dachau and Auschwitz were merely disinfection sites, simply calls into question and makes a mockery of every other part of the Arabs' claims against Israel."
Nice argument. No?
Consider the source. How much credence should Palestinians give to the advice of the very people who have brutalized them for 50 years? Would the Jerusalem Post give the Palestinians the winning formula for their liberation from Israeli domination? Hardly.
Finally, this little item is a gem. Lou Marano of United Press International (6/14/2001) describes a " national coalition of Jews and Christians" that refuses to be "terrorized by 'tolerance.' "
The group, called "Toward Tradition", was founded by Orthodox Rabbi Daniel Lapin in 1991. Its mission statement describes its function as "fighting secular institutions that foster anti-religious bigotry, harm families, and ultimately jeopardize the survival of America."
National Director, Yarden Weidenfeld, explained the theme of an ad the group plans to place in at least one major U.S. newspaper.
"It will be about the extent to which the left in this country has misused and misapplied the term 'tolerance' to impose a rigid, politically correct ideology on America," he said. "We will no longer be terrorized by 'tolerance.' "
