Interesting, isn't it? First Germany in 1995-96, then Canada with its hateful Human Rights persecution, and now the Arab countries? We must have some powerful truths the Zionists fear like the devil fears the crucifix!

Israel, Our Errant Child

Not too long ago I asked why Israel is our friend. Since no one answered my question, I'm left to assume that no one knows why.
When, during the election debacle, a few Jewish voters were screeching that they deserved to have their votes count - again and again - because they were holocaust survivors, or their parents were survivors or they came from a long line of survivors, I was hopeful that they didn't want Bush to win because he wouldn't put Zionist interests ahead of all other American interests. Now I realize that I was wrong.
I, for one, am sick and tired of the holocaust and Zionist whining. I am tempted to start a counter-campaign of other survivors who could lobby Congress and the White House. These would include "survivors" of the Crusades, the Potato Famine, Stalin's murderous purge, the British scorched earth policies in Scotland, the Sepoy Rebellion, the Salem Witch Hunts, the Armenian genocide, the Inquisition, and yes, finally, even the survivors of the American Revolution. The latter must no doubt be wondering, from their eternal rest, why they bothered to fight at all!
Israel isn't our friend. It's our adult illegitimate child that we have failed to discipline or teach moral values to. We let our child argue us into letting it invade someone else's country more than fifty years ago, with the one rule that they couldn't venture out of their own yard. They not only have ventured wide and far, but they have destroyed villages, farms and lives while we shrug our shoulders and say, "They suffered so much. Their enemies want to annihilate them. What can we do?" Our willful child has destroyed America's credibility in the Middle East, which used to be friendly towards us before we foisted the monster child on them. Our man-child shoots children in the face, assassinates scholars and world leaders, is condemned time and time again in the court of public opinion and by the governments of the world, then comes running to the United States, beats its chest, sheds a tear, invokes the name of Hitler and we tell it not to cry. We'll protect it.
And so we do. Millions of Americans work long hours to ensure that one of the wealthiest "countries" on the planet will get its annual stipend of approximately three billion of our tax dollars. We coddle and pet our child, because to not do so is to be hateful. Killing Palestinians is necessary. Suggesting that Israel is a bad seed that never should have been planted is racist.
America grudgingly helped deliver this errant child into the world. Left to steal and kill, whine and beg, it has grown into a dangerous misfit. It is not a legitimate democracy, it has no Constitution, depending on who is in charge torture is legal, it has nuclear capabilities and it has the arrogant distinction of having the most powerful parent in the world.
And now our "child" is determined to annihilate the Palestinian people. While the President of the United States of America groveled today at a holocaust memorial ceremony, the hope of ever cutting the cord with our errant child seemed even more remote than before. It seems that we will have to endure another four years of pro-Israel politics, and continued intolerance of truth, freedom and justice. I don't think the Arab world is going to sit still for another four years, and I don't blame them. It's enough to make you want to fold up the Stars and Stripes and go home.
Home. Could someone please show me the way? I'm no longer sure that we have one.
