ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny

March 25, 2001

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Of course the news about the Beirut cancellation of a planned Revisionist conference continues to dominate the news. Here I will give you a bit of a slant by way of quotes of how the Lebanese view the Holocaust Lobby bullying.

According to the Daily Star of 3/23/2001,

"For weeks, the decision of American and Swiss organizers to hold the four-day conference in Beirut, the first of its kind in an Arab capital, has raised many eyebrows in the international media and among Jewish lobby groups, Arab intellectuals, and the Lebanese authorities."

"Weber [Public Relations Director of the Institute for Historical Review] told The Daily Star in a telephone interview that he considered as correct reports that the US State Department, by way of Ambassador David Satterfield, threatened to cut aid and 'change its attitude toward Lebanon'" " if the conference was held."

"Weber, who has held Holocaust revisionist conferences in the United States, claimed the Lebanese authorities would not admit that the United States applied pressure on them because 'they're embarrassed that they're being bullied'."

"'The fact that there's been so much commotion surrounding this conference attests to the fact that there's a campaign against Lebanon', " [Lebanese Information Minister Ghazi Aridi ]told The Daily Star."

"'The campaigners are calling it a crime against humanity and so (the campaigners) are against Lebanon. It's a clear Israeli ploy to ruin the country's reputation." "

"'We don't know anything about the conference and its organizers, but would completely support it if it were to reveal the truth of the Holocaust and Zionist claims, " said Mohammed Raad, a Nabatieh MP and head of the Hizbullah parliamentary bloc."

"Israeli journalist Israel Shamir was ...critical of those opposing the conference. He said that one of the most prominent renouncers of the conference, the Zionist Organization of America, is responsible for a campaign denying the massacre of Palestinians in Deir Yassin in 1948, despite eyewitness accounts of survivors, the Red Cross, the British police and Jewish scouts."

"'By their flawed logic, if the Israelis are telling a tall tale about what happened in 1948, perhaps the Jewish memories of the Holocaust are also flawed' " he wrote in an article last week.

Also in reaction to the Beirut conference cancellation, one of the Palestinian activists wrote:

"A group of us have gotten together today to issue a leaflet in Arabic against the fourteen Arab intellectuals who condemned the Beirut Conference and called on the Lebanese government to ban it. Keep up the good work. There are many who appreciate what you are doing.

"In fact, I am already collecting material to do a special issue about revisionist historians in the Free Arab Voice (www.fav.net) in a few weeks hopefully."

News continues to roll in about Germans buying the Finkelstein title "The Holocaust Industry" by the bushel. I thought I would check the Amazon.com bestselling list.

The title has best-selling status in the following countries:

Austria (#3) Brazil (#4) Jordan (#3) Luxembourg (#9) Switzerland (#10) Forest Hills, NY (#14) France (#15) British Columbia, Canada (#15)

No word - no indication whatsoever! - about Germany!

One ZGram reader reported:

"I checked out a review for the movie "Enemy at the Gates" after going and seeing it with my wife on Friday. Of course as usual Hollywood took artistic license with history. They portrayed the Bolsheviks as the good guys and the Germans as the bad guys. No surprise there.

"But what I did find interesting and you can get the review yourself at www.sfgate.com and then clicking on < Entertainment>movies>Enemy at the Gates is that "Nazis" now appears to be part of the review along with adult content, violence and so on. Notice they do not mention Bolsheviks."

Venezuela must have gotten a Holocaust carrot, perhaps along with the threat of a stick, for they have agreed they will assist the so-called "Nazi hunters" and the Simon Wiesenthal Center to find 18 alleged war criminals the center believes may still be living in the South American nation.

The Los Angeles-based SWC provided a list to Venezuelan authorities of names of 14 Lithuanians, three Latvians and one Estonian possibly residing in Venezuela. What is interesting about this news is that, according to several articles, "...the suspects are believed to have served with local security forces in Russia which persecuted civilians, primarily Jews, during World War II."

The ADL ought to be stripped of its non-profit status, now that Americans know for a fact that this organization is engaged in partisan political activities on behalf of Israeli crooks. Maybe the fear that the agency would suffer political embarrassment, i.e. reduced taxpayers' support, prompted the ADL's chief honcho, Abe Foxman, to eat humble pie and lament that he regrets to have spoken out on behalf of the Marc Rich pardon - after his organization had taken a $100,000 donation from Marc Rich's foundation! This seems to have prompted him to write a letter to then President Clinton urging a pardon for Rich on ADL stationary.

Not too surprisingly, he now sees no connection between taking the money and writing the letter to Clinton shortly thereafter. He admits he suggested the pardon to an ex- chief of Israel's spy agency who headed the Rich Foundation.

In retrospect, "I wouldn't send the letter," Foxman conceded. "I felt I made a wrong judgment . . . because it was not directly on target with what the ADL's mission is."

Yeah sure! We all believe that. Don't we?

An Associated Press release tells us that one South Korean, described as "the owner of a Nazi-themed bar" has agreed that it is wise to show himself politically correct. The man must have a sense of humor, for he replaced ''Hitler'' in its name with ''Ditler'' after a protest from the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

''I sincerely regret offending the Jewish people," he said. "I had no intention to do so,'' Hong said.

Heil Ditler?
