ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny

March 18, 2001

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Here is a bit of Success Revisionism for the war-weary. Polish Authorities removed a Holocaust Monument yesterday that for decades falsely blamed the Nazis for a 1941 massacre of Jews that was actually carried out by Polish villagers.

The story goes that Polish neighbors herded the community's 1600 Jews into a barn and set it on fire - an act of revenge that was for decades blamed on the hapless Germans.

Sounds like another Tall Holocaust Tale, for they must have had barns as big as cathedrals to hold 1,600 people.

Word has come that the Tehran Times has -- temporarily? -- suspended publication of a 16-part series of articles devoted to the "Auschwitz Conspiracy" - without affording its author the smallest explanation.

You wonder who in Muslim fundamentalist Iran got cold feet - and why?

If you read between the lines in a Letter to the Editor of March 13, 2001, you surmise that Governor Jeb Bush of Florida recommended cutting funds to both Black studies education and Holocaust education.

"Restore the funds," wails Michael J. Lenaghan, the author of this letter. "Let education bridge troubled waters and provide a path toward the model multicultural microcosm of the world we can be."

The newest is that Jews are courting Latinos as potential allies to keep the Holo-brainwashing intact. The first national poll on Latino and Jewish public opinion in the US was released last week, whereby the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding surveyed 1,006 people - 504 Latinos and 502 Jews - on a wide range of topics including Israel, antisemitism, US foreign policy, and church and synagogue attendance.

65.9% of Latinos, compared to 55% of Jews, think that children are not taught enough about the Holocaust in school. And here comes the clincher:

"From the perspective of the State of Israel, this is a very important coalition and alliance," said the president of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, Rabbi Marc Schneier. "We now see the emergence of a minority to such an extent that it is really incumbent upon the American Jewish community, for the security of the State of Israel, to reach out and to sensitize the Latino community to what the state of Israel means to American Jews and what it means to Latinos."

What does it mean to Latinos?

The story of the World Jewish Congress calling on the Lebanon Government to block the first non-US Revisionist conference these past few weeks went on several syndicate wires, including Reuters.

As reported previously, both Sweden and Switzerland have also been lobbied. We haven't heard anything from Germany.

Arab intellectuals have likewise been recruited to stop the heretics from taking their revisionism to Beirut. Fourteen "well-known Arab intellectuals" appealed to authorities in Lebanon not to let the rascals in.

As far as we know, the four-day gathering scheduled to take place from March 31 to April 3 is still on schedule. Registration information can be found at www.ihr.org

And speaking of Germany, word has come that German industry is playing belligerent about forking over the first installment of the promised 10 billion D-Mark for "slave labor". The Germans want "airtight protection" from US lawsuits before they let go of the money.

German politicians, media commentators and Jewish leaders did their best to break the deadlock, arguing that the firms are demanding a level of security that simply doesn't exist.

Hard-nosed businessmen are obviously not as easy pushovers as corrupt politicians with skeletons in their closets.

Lobby-battling British historian, David Irving, has scored a rather important victory. The publication of a book by Richard "the mudslinger" Evans, who led Penguin's academic defence team in the trial, has been suspended if not ditched. The publisher, a subsidiary of Random House, fears libel. So Irving's action is chilling to some, even though he lost the first round? Interesting.

Yahoo, the giant internet company that locked horns with the French censors-that-be for selling Nazi memorabilia, is still fighting Judge Gomez's ruling in a Federal District Court in San Jose, Calif., arguing that the French order cannot be enforced for several reasons, including conflicts with the First Amendment."

This will be closely watched.

The censorship war cuts both ways. Italian prosecutors have charged several Web site providers, who are believed to be located in Israel, with defaming the character of an Italian man.

Robert Goldschmid recommends what the Canadian Human Rights Commission tribesmen already claimed they had legislative authority - the right to control the Internet.

Goldschmid has written a report that ". . . analyzes hate, hate speech and freedom of speech from both philosophical and legal perspectives." Goldschmid's primary recommendation for the Canadian government is ". . . to apply the Canadian Human Rights Act to the Internet and to all future communications technologies."

A controversial movie, "Matzah of Zion" and described as "An Answer to Schindler's List", is reported to be in the making.

Omar Al-Sharif, best known for his role in Dr. Zhivago, is a candidate for the lead role, and two other Egyptian actors will appear in the film. It deals with the rumor, around for centuries, that human blood is used for baking Matzahs.

The Union of Councils for Soviet Jews blames Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, for his "authoritarian instinct."

A 180-page reports states that "Putin is showing an increasing lack of consideration for democratic values and Western opinion and is gaining popularity by what is seen as a crackdown on widely hated, mostly Jewish tycoons."

There is going to be yet another version of the Anne Frank Diary. Some handwritten pages, kept "hidden" for 40 years, have suddenly re-surfaced. An Amsterdam newspaper had published the missing pages in 1999 already, but was sued for copyright violation, resulting in a front-page apology.

This story outraged me. In Whitwell, Tennessee, a town of about 1,600, Whitwell Middle School decided to jump on the Holocaust bandwagon. It is doing the paper clip thing.

So far, it has collected about 2,400 pounds worth of paper clips - one-third of the way to the mythical 6 million.

''We have no cultural diversity - it's all pretty much white Anglo-Saxon Protestant,'' gushes David Smith, assistant principal of the school. It will take another two years to reach the 6 million, but the ante has been upped. 11 million is the goal.

How besotten can you get?!

And finally, this story just came in, and I will treat you to its first paragraph, as published in the Catholic Northwest Progress, March 15, 2001:

"The US bishops' Committee for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs has issued a booklet providing guidance and resources on the Holocaust for all levels of Catholic education, including seminaries and universities. (...)

The reason given? "...to help Catholics combat forms of Christian anti-Judaism by studying the causes and conditions for genocide."
