ZGRAM - Where Truth is Destiny:  Now more than ever!

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Nothing special to report as we await some rulings from two important 
legal fronts:  1) Whether the Canadian Supreme Court will decide to 
take the Zundel case or drop it like a hot potato, and 2) what the 
three-panel judges of the American Sixth Circuit Appeal Court have to 
say regarding the Zundel abduction to please the Absurdistan 
Zundel-haters.  We don't expect anything dramatic within the next few 
weeks.  There is another bail hearing on July 28, but since the five 
Arabs targeted with the "security certificate" monstrosity don't get 
bail, will Ernst Zundel?  What a sad, sad joke that country has 
become!

On this end, I continue to work behind the scenes with some pretty 
significant legislative contacts, but there, too, it is a bit like 
shadow-boxing.  Right now, I am reading the classic Paul Findley 
book, THEY DARE TO SPEAK OUT, about the Jewish Lobby's influence in 
Washington and elsewhere - written already in the '80s.  It is 
chock-full of quotable quotes - really an amazing compilation of what 
those patient Gentiles we elect in pious hopes of having them watch 
out for us will put up with before they've had their fill.

There is one quote that sums things up for me:

"[T]he lobby's instrument of greatest power is its willingness to 
make broad use of the charge of anti-Semitism. They've got one great 
thing going for them.  Most people are terribly concerned not to be 
accused of being anti-Semitic, and the lobby so often equates 
criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism.  They keep pounding away at 
that theme, and people are deterred from speaking out.  (Š) Many 
Americans feel a "sense of guilt" over the extermination of Jews by 
Nazi Germany.  The result of this guilt is that the fear of being 
called anti-Semitic is much more effective in silencing candidates 
and public officials than threats about campaign money or votes." (p. 
127)

And isn't that the truth! 

A week ago, Ernst and I talked about it - about the strange 
unwillingness of otherwise assertive, powerful people standing 
eyeball to eyeball with the Lobby and saying firmly: "Look, if you 
want to spend your life believing in hokum stories like Auschwitz, 
that's YOUR problem -" and moving on!  But no - it's just terribly, 
terribly important not to be called that horrible name! 

How is it, to quote Senator Hollings, that it seems easier to just 
"tuck tail" and run? 

As for myself, I like the answer Elena Haskins of www.wakeupordie.com 
once gave me.  In response to one of those smears one could simply 
reply with an angelic smile, "Bless you!" or, even better, "You poor 
dear!"  Perhaps what we really need is a weekend workshop on "How NOT 
to be Intimidated by Smear-Mongering."  Kind of like psychological 
boot camp.

Below, Ernst shared some additional thoughts on this and other topics 
in a recent letter to me:

You said tonight that some famous writers have commented on the 
frailty of America.  The parallels to the latter stages of the Roman 
Empire are frightening to me.  That's why I keep preaching about 
self-sufficiency, gardens, squirrel-thinking.  America really is a 
giant on feet of clay.  So is Canada. Even mainstream writers are 
ringing the alarm bells. The whole society is awash in money sloshing 
around like sewage on the surface of a polluted lake - which died 
long ago!  Things are like they were in Weimar Germany, and the 
economic indicators are heading in that direction. 

Apparently what has been keeping America afloat domestically is that 
the American home owners are refinancing their homes -  mining their 
own assets.  Japan and China are buying virtually all of America's 
treasury bonds, with which America is financing its government 
household.  China sits on almost 900 billion U.S. debt bond;  Japan 
has bought almost the same amount.  If America were to financially 
collapse or devalue their dollars, as the Germans did in 1948 and the 
East Germans thereafter quite often, or as Israel has done several 
times, then Asia will face massive economic problems and mass 
unemployment - it will be a mess!  Far, far worse than the Great 
Depression!

As for Israel - the Diaspora Jews are attached to that insane 
gangster statelet Siamese-fashion.  I have been reading magazines 
like Vanity Fair and the New Yorker.  There are no two magazines more 
mainstream than these. Uri Avnery, Herzberg, others are either 
Israelis or American Jews.  The "Jewish thing" is being eroded by 
iconoclastic younger Jews, for whom nothing is sacred, not even their 
own tribe's survival.  They have been torn as much from their roots 
as the Gentile young people have.  They are letting the insanity of 
Israel's policies and its blind brutality all hang out. Seymour 
Hersh, breaking the Abu Ghraib story, is a typical case in point. 
What he writes is stuff the Right Wing used to write 20-30 years ago.

Raimondo [webmaster of Antiwar.com] ended one of his recent pieces so 
tauntingly - I was floored!  He is totally wise to their rackets and 
how they use smear words.  He made fun of them!  The worst they can 
experience is that people make fun of their supposedly killer smears 
- "anti-Semite", "Nazi", "Fascist", "Racist".  These weapons are 
indeed blunt now, and they have nothing else to fall back on! 

Our enemies really are cunning and clever - but, obviously, 
intelligent they are not!  Now why would they want to create for 
themselves additional problems, for example, where in my case my 
arrest acted like an accelerant in a fire extinguisher!  Instead of 
putting the Zundel spark out by leaving us alone in our mountains, 
they kidnapped me and railroaded me out of the U.S. and into Canada - 
and if and when they ship me to Germany, they will make my name in 
history take on mythical proportions, instead of my being "just the 
guy who sent Leuchter to Auschwitz" - an event that, by now, has been 
relegated to the status of a footnote, compared to what has happened 
since February 5, 2003 and will still happen, until this latest caper 
of the People of the Lie has run its course.

It would seem that, for the time being, the forces arrayed against us 
are entrenched, too powerful to shake loose, but life is a living 
thing - and never in the last 50 years have things been in such a 
fluid state!  In one of the articles I read, Paul Spiegel, the German 
leader, is quoted as having said:  "Never before have the Germans 
been as bold in their criticism of the Jews."  Jews are the first to 
sense it.  One has to give them credit for that!

I can see that, unless a new government in Canada reins in this mob 
of howling hounds chasing the fox in the orange suit, I will be off 
to Germany before this year is out - unless the Supreme Court gives 
us a really expedited hearing.  Everybody wants to be seen not to 
give me, you, the Lindsays [our attorney team] any break.  Forget 
courtesy!  Forget kindness!  It is a mob mentality that reigns.  It 
is tyranny in the name of "Humanitarianism" - one more pretty word 
cloaking a repressive, mean-spirited, brutal, vindictive "ism".  It 
is the Jewish mind and Talmud thinking revealed, Marxism stripped of 
all the hyperbole and camouflage catch phrases.  It is the fist, 
stripped of its velvet glove of honeyed words and fuzzy-touchy-feely 
New Age slogans.

Through our struggle in the courts of Canada and America we have 
forced them to drop their mask and to reveal their true face 
underneath.  It has caused us a lot of heartache, nerve energy, and 
grotesque amounts of money, but I believe we performed a useful 
service, not only for Canada but for the historical record.

We have to keep a tight reign on what we can control, be wise, weigh 
our reactions to all issues - and not do something off the wall 
because we are angry, or tired, or stressed out and want to lash 
back!  You and I have quite a responsibility because, without 
exaggeration, millions of people look up to us and look at us, how we 
comport ourselves.

I will most likely face a few more unpleasant months.  They will 
torment me with all their little chicaneries - their searches, 
turning over my cell, denying me my books for a stool etc.  What is 
that in the larger scheme of things? 

Having been locked up in solitary confinement this length of time has 
given me the undisturbed quiet to think many loose ends through. 
This has been helpful to clear my mind of many misconceptions.  My 
world view has become more integrated and more orderly.  I can better 
articulate it.  There are fewer loose ends. I am beginning to see 
much, much clearer what the role was, is, and should be of religion 
in Western civilization. I have been able to narrow down our options 
and devise solutions in my own mind.  I have carried on a lively 
correspondence with some pretty interesting people.

I am sorry that you are loaded down with all those awesome daily 
responsibilities, while I seemingly goofed off into the philosophic 
and esoteric.  We were a good team before I joined you in Tennessee, 
we were a good team for those two and a half years, and we are a good 
team NOW. Onward, forward, and upward! Steadfast in loyalty!
