RE: Hunger Strike announced to protest the illegal deportation of my
husband, Ernst Zündel
Dear Mr. Haugh:
With this letter I am also faxing to you a letter I wrote and faxed
this morning to the Canadian Ambassador, Mr. Michael Kergin, about my
anticipated hunger strike starting May 1. It is self-explanatory.
No doubt you are aware of the political ramifications involved in the
brutal deportation/extradition of my husband. However, you are not
aware, apparently, that your reply to Mr. Jenkins, dated April 7 and
faxed April 8, is based on incomplete and incorrect information.
I request as a most urgent matter a personal meeting with you as soon
as possible. If I can arrange for such a meeting, I will fly in my
immigration attorney, Mr. Bruce Leichty, to clarify any additional
information you are entitled to know - and my husband and I are
entitled to have considered if this is still the law-and-order
country and government I knew and cherished when I first came to
this continent as first-generation immigrant - barefoot, functionally
illiterate and speaking not a word of English - more than forty years
ago.
I will be in Washington on Monday in preparation for my hunger
strike. I have secured this official request for a personal meeting
with you from Congressman Ron Paul and Congressman Bill Jenkins. You
have their letters in your files.
If at all possible, please let me know before I leave if such a
personal meeting with you can be arranged soon.
Sincerely,
Ingrid Rimland Zundel, Ed.D.
P.S. On second thought, I am also faxing you a letter my immigration
attorney wrote to Congressman Ron Paul, summarizing the disaster that
befell us after the Memphis office either lost or intentionally
destroyed important documents.
