ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny

July 23, 2000

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

* The BBC reported on July 17, 2000 that relatives of people who died in the Kosovo war are suing the governments they hold responsible for compensation. The case is being taken to the European Court of Human rights. Amnesty International has already published a report stating that NATO committed war crimes.

* Dr. Norman Finkelstein continues to make glorious headlines. For instance, the Chicago Sun-Times ran an article titled "Holocaust 'profiteers' distort history for own ends." Finkelstein calls the Holocaust Lobby a "propaganda machine with a political motive" and a few other choice words that send the liberals straight into shrieking fits.

"I think the whole Nazi Holocaust has been corrupted in the service of Holocaust profiteers", says Finkelstein, unperturbed. He calls the Holocaust Enforcers "completely indifferent to the actual facts" and says they are "actually contemptuous of the actual record."

* "Hate crime" or simple fun?

The Jewish Telegraph agency reported that "(a) Palestinian intellectual who is a professor of literature at Columbia University admitted that he threw stones at Israel's border fence from Lebanon earlier this month."

Edward Said ". . . said he was indulging in a harmless act of joy."

* Why now? City officials in Paris have done something odd. They have become Revisionists by having quietly re-christened a Paris square to honor Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish army captain falsely (?) accused of spying for the Germans - more than a century ago!

The Paris Mayor, Jean Tiberi, opined a bit sheepishly: ''The Dreyfus Affair is a symptom ... of the deep forces eating away at a whole society.''

* Canada's Prime Minister Jean Chrétien has agreed to do the requisite knee fall, "paying tribute to 55 Holocaust survivors who made contributions to Canada ," reports the Canadian Jewish News of 7/20,2000.

Elsewhere, Chrétien traipsed right into the jelly jar. "Everybody is aiming at a ***final solution***," Mr. Chrétien said, commenting on the "peace process" and applauding efforts by Israeli and Palestinian negotiators to reach a deal. "You don't want, at this moment anyway, to have a ***partial solution***."

This comment is said to have struck "a somewhat discordant note among spokesmen for the Canadian Jewish community. Moshe Ronen, national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, immediately took the words and gave them a new spin.

"What is needed is a ***comprehensive resolution*** and, more importantly, ***a solution that will hold***", Moshe opined. (Emphasis added in all of the above. . . )

To which Ernst Zundel quipped:

"So what the Nazis really wanted was divined by Moshe Ronen? They wanted a "comprehensive" solution, not a "partial" solution? Imagine that! Here it took us 55 years to clear up this Final Solution misunderstanding with the help of Mr. Ronen!"

* Germany, piously hoping to "close the books on the past," has agreed to pay another DM 10 billion to compensate so-called "surviving slave workers." The German Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, expressed a pious hope: "With this agreement we close a last open chapter of the past."

You wanna bet?

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) already last year came up with a list of about 400 German firms "that coerced Jews and citizens of occupied countries to work for the Nazi war effort."

About half of these companies, so far, are still refusing to fork over a single pfennig. Meanwhile in Camp David II, Barak wants assurances signed by Arafat that the Palestinians will not claim reparations from Israel for the land and property stolen in 1945 and since.

* And speaking of Reparations: There's now a new wrinkle in the Holocaust extortion racket to press big business concerns into compliance.

"It's coming down to peer pressure", reports an Associated Press release. "Top executives from some of the country's biggest firms are taking a new tack in cajoling their colleagues to ante up for a breakthrough national fund compensating people forced to work for Hitler's war machine."

Roughly 230 firms have been targeted for personal, manager-to-manager phone calls ". . . to ease a growing embarrassment for Germany's business community - companies that are still dragging their feet."

* Amazingly, the BBC made room for Finkelstein, even though he "accuses those who exploit the Holocaust of telling lies and of naked greed" and keeps on arguing that the "ruthless industrialisation of the Holocaust has encouraged the rebirth of anti-semitism in Europe and the United States".

"The current campaign of the Holocaust industry to extort money from Europe in the name of 'needy Holocaust victims' has shrunk the moral stature of their martyrdom to that of a Monte Carlo casino", he wrote.

Undaunted, the BBC invited readers to put their questions to Norman Finkelstein in a LIVE global broadcast on July 18, 2000.

* Two Revisionist websites have been kicked off the air by hostile servers - without warning.

The first, hosted by Virtual Avenue, (http://www.virtualave.net) deleted the personal web site of IHR associate editor Greg Raven, with no warning beforehand or subsequent notice.

Secondly, word has come in this morning that a website promoting a dissident view on the Waco inferno, the Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum, <http://www.Public-Action.com/SkyWriter/WacoMuseum> was canceled without notice also.

* Well-known film maker, Claude Lanzmann, who directed "Shoah", left a Holocaust conference in London in a huff because Finkelstein was also invited to speak at the same conference, according to the Jewish Telegraph Agency of July 20, 2000.

Additionally, the Jewish Chronicle of 7/21/2000 reports that ". . . Claude Lanzmann has withdrawn his latest film from a screening in London in protest at an invitation to American author Dr Norman Finkelstein." The event was to have been held "in tandem with the Holocaust conference, Remembering For The Future 2000, which opened this week in London and Oxford.

* The Russian Orthodox Church stands accused of harboring Nazi sentiments and growing increasing anti-Semitism. According to the Jerusalem Post, 7/21/2000, members of that church are "wearing black - boots, jeans, shirts, and berets - everything except the armbands, which are red and white and decorated with a bladed swastika.

A "Slavic swastika," they will tell you.

Their publication, "Our Fatherland", reports that six of the seven "regional representatives" of the Vladivostok area, appointed by Putin, who function as watchdogs "to oversee the region's governors", are Jews.

"The shadow of Putin's Yid menorah lies upon Russia," claims one headline.

* Elie Wiesel angrily attacked Norman Finkelstein who had accused him of lining his pockets with $25,000 speaking fees plus chauffeured limousine.

"If I speak about the Holocaust," wailed Wiesel, "I don't do it for money. If they pay, I give it to charity." Besides, sniffed Wiesel, Henry Kissinger charges more!

* We have a new money maker. It's called "The Genocide Prevention Research Initiative" - an agency that is "dedicated to finding the cause of mass killings so that the crimes are not repeated."

This agency will also, incidentally, "provide information to governments, politicians and individuals."

One of the patrons will be Elie Wiesel. (JTA, 7/21/2000)

* Germany's parliament chief, Wolfgang Thierse, exhorted his countrymen on July 20, the date of the assassination attack on Adolf Hitler in 1944, to "oppose the neo-Nazis in the spirit of those who resisted the Third Reich."

His speech is reported to have been accompanied with "somber music and no applause."

July 20 has been a holiday in Germany since 1952.

* German Chancellor, Gerhard Schröder, widely seen as a vassal to Israel, paid the expected tribute to the Central Council of Jews in Germany by telling them that their organization represents an "indispensable moral authority".

The Frankfurter Allgemeine reported on July 19, 2000 that Mr. Spiegel, chairman of the executive committee, let it be known that he had "quite a different understanding" of his office than did his predecessor. Today he takes the view that the council should not perceive itself as a "moral authority" but as a "guardian of democracy and human rights".

Even in Germany, the paper reports, " liberal and orthodox Jews are finding it increasingly difficult to co-exist in some places" because of their "diversity", which is "threatening the very idea of a single Jewish community."

* The Poles are dedicating a cemetery where approximately 4,000 of the 15,000 Polish officers who were killed by Stalin's secret police, lie buried.

For decades, the Third Reich's SS men were blamed for the Katyn massacre - until Revisionist research set the record straight.

Poland still intends to bring those responsible for the executions to justice, and Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered to help.

* Finally, an absolutely stunning article, penned by Dr. Norman Finkelstein, was discovered by Zundel researchers on the Index on Censorship Magazine website, <http://www.indexoncensorship.org/200/fin.html>. I urge all of my readers to go and read it for themselves.

Let me just give you a whiff of the flavor by running the first paragraph:

"Holocaust awareness," the Israeli writer Boas Evron observes, is actually "an official, propagandistic indoctrination, a churning out of slogans and a false view of the world, the real aim of which is not at all an understanding of the past, but a manipulation of the present."

Please note: Revisionists did say this first - for decades!

Thought for the Day:

"In a wired world, in a 500-channel universe, where communication technologies are exfoliating in all directions and citizens are giddy with the potential to reach and touch others, (orthodox media) is being bypassed like an old Edsel stalled on the emergency off-ramp of an eight-lane highway in rush-hour traffic."
