This one is a more recent Zundel Letter, dated October 18 and written 
to a Revisionist "newcomer" in Texas.  It deals with the topic of how 
race and ethnicity can be used as instruments and tools to achieve 
"desirable" results by a nation's war hawks.

Interesting what you say about "race" in the US forces. That will be 
a problem, which might well derail some of the grandiose plans of the 
neo-cons and their notions of Empire. Nature will not be suppressed 
forever, regardless of what the PR men or spin doctors might say - or 
ardently wish! There are differences, which crop up and haunt and 
eventually defeat all of those "lotus eaters" hell-bent on denying 
the realities of eons of time of evolution.

RE: Japanese in the US Armed Forces during WWII:

Japanese Infantry Combat Unit 442 [was] drawn almost exclusively from 
US West Coast and Hawaiian-born young Japanese, whose parents were 
interred in US relocation camps in the US interior at the time. This 
has to be one of the sickest, most disgusting events and most callous 
recruiting drives and exploitation of an ethnic/racial group ever 
contrived by diabolical military planners!

I became aware of this issue through (____ unreadable). I always was 
awed by that man's craftsmanship, considering the crude equipment he 
had to work with;  it was nothing short of astonishing. He documented 
the fate and conditions of Japanese Americans in camps in what can 
only be called godforsaken loneliness.   I think it was [an] Arizona 
and New Mexico photo documentary book, beautifully and hauntingly 
illustrated, by the brilliantly gifted US photographer Ansel Adams. 

I [have] obtained recently declassified US government documents about 
internal US war crimes investigations on the Western Front - crimes 
committed by US troops.  The conduct of some units in the 
Alsace-Lorraine, Vosges Mountain foothills on the West bank of the 
Rhine came under scrutiny.  I was surprised to read that the US 
Command had assigned this crack Japanese unit to this area, which has 
received very little [attention] by military historians. It was clear 
that these young Japanese were used as cannon fodder and expendables 
because they had to prove themselves to be "super loyal" and, 
therefore, extra-brave and not appear afraid or reluctant for fear it 
would be considered disloyal and reflect on their parents and 
families who were held hostage in the US concentration camps at home! 
In other words, someone in the political or defense establishment 
back in Washington had figured out Japanese core values [i.e. loyalty 
to one's adopted homeland] and exploited them in a ruthless fashion 
for US benefit - if need be, to the maiming and death of everyone of 
these young Japanese in US uniform.

[Many] would return limbless, maimed, blind, to visit their [parents] 
and siblings behind barbed wire, adorned in their US uniforms, 
wearing their medals for bravery, having killed the last, still 
fighting best of our race, to prove their unflinching loyalty unto 
death - very often to the race that had unjustly uprooted, robbed, 
dislocated, incarcerated and declared suspect of disloyalty their 
entire racial group - and then topped it all off by unnecessarily, we 
know today, using murderous weapons of mass destruction, the first 
atomic bomb on Japanese civilians, who were by then sitting ducks, 
completing the attempted genocide that the massive bombing raids and 
fire storms in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe and elsewhere had not been able 
to achieve.

I did not know that William Manchester in The Glory and the Dream 
(Little Brown and Company, Boston 1973, Pg 301-302) had detailed the 
macabre shower of decorations, shaken loose entirely by the ruthless 
use of reverse psychology, on a human target group, those hapless 
Japanese, if Manchester is indeed correct.  I see no reason why he 
would need to cheat or lie in this case about the unbelievable record 
of valor and battle distinctions garnered by any unit, on any sector, 
of any front in that horrific war, including the Eastern Front, which 
saw and produced lots of heroic battles large and small.  The 
Japanese performance even pales the performance of our own SS troops!

I think it is important for the historical record, as well as for the 
proof that mass psychology, properly targeted and carefully focused, 
can and does achieve results [that] can even override the strongest 
natural impulses, like the will to resist being used and manipulated, 
which is the first natural reaction of anyone being collectively and 
unjustly targeted and abused via the policies the Japanese Americans 
were subjected to at the time in America.

For the record:   The 442 U.S. Japanese combat unit did receive the 
following distinctions in combat, mainly against the German forces: 
3000 Purple Hearts, 500 Oak Leaf clusters, 810 Bronze Stars, 342 
Silver Stars, 47 Distinguished Service Crosses, 17 Legions of Merit, 
and most remarkable of all - not a single Japanese American soldier 
ever deserted!

There are, of course, other areas of the second Allied War effort, 
where race and ethnicity were used as instruments and tools to 
achieve similar results. Gurkas and Polish troops were used in the 
battle for Monte Cassino in Italy. The Jewish Brigade was used as a 
murder- and assassination squad, mainly against unarmed, defenseless 
civilians and prisoners of war in Allied hands in post-hostilities 
operations in Germany, as described in the book The Avengers by 
Michael Bar-Zohar.

Stalin and his Jewish advisors - Kagonovich, Ilya Ehrenberg, Beria, 
Yagoda and thousands of others -  used similar methods against their 
victims in the East - also Frankl, whose pictures appear in Alexander 
Solzhenitsyin's book Gulag Archipelago. The Soviets used troops, 
several million of them, drafted from the vast Gulag system of 
incarcerated political prisoners, who were told that their "sins and 
crimes against the Soviet State" would be forgiven, and they would 
get rehabilitated and thus be free again, if they proved themselves 
against the German invaders. Victor Suvorov in his remarkable book 
"Icebreaker:  Who Really Started WWII?" details this grotesque, but 
typically mind-manipulating Jewish-Bolshevik policy of the Eastern 
Allies.

One more proof as to the originating mind set, which devised that 
policy, is the [method] employed by Stalin and his henchmen against 
the Russian Byelorussia and Ukrainian population after the German 
invasion in their occupied areas along that vast strip of land from 
the Baltic to the Black Sea.  Anatoli Sudoplatov, who was at the time 
in charge of this equally devastating Soviet policy against its own 
Soviet citizens, describes this psychological warfare policy in his 
book Special Tasks.

Specially trained, carefully chosen, "German"-speaking (i.e. 
Yiddish-speaking) Soviet units in German Wehrmacht and German 
political administration uniforms were parachuted into these 
German-occupied areas, heavily armed, and were asked to attack 
Russians, Ukrainians and others villages to exterminate most of the 
old, the sick, the women and children, beating and torturing village 
people, especially teachers and village elders - allowing some of 
them to live, however, [and to] escape, while [these "special task" 
forces] laughed and joked and gave their orders among themselves in 
"German".  [This led] their victims to think that these were German 
Occupation troops, cruel and inhuman conquerors, behaving towards 
Slavs, whom they allegedly deemed "Untermenschen" - as sub-humans, as 
the Sowjet propaganda claimed at the time. 

This [disinformation] was repeated by the tortured, escaped survivors 
to other villagers nearby with the help of "friendly Soviet 
partisans" in countless village meetings behind the German front. 
This was so effective that the Germans themselves [came to believe] 
this [scenario of] brutal behavior of the "German" troops against the 
conquered Slavs after the war as part of their own history, blaming 
it to this day on the Germans' self-inflicted defeat [through their] 
arrogant "racial superiority complex"-driven occupation policies 
against the Slavs - when, in fact, the German policy was the exact 
opposite. Most Germans have come to believe this, even former German 
soldiers, who have written books about this, like the German writer 
Erich Kern (Mayr) whose books, unsurprisingly, were allowed to be 
published after the war in West Germany and became best-sellers.

Had Sudoplatov not defected to the West and published his remarkable, 
tell-all book called Special Tasks, the world would have never known 
about Stalin's devastatingly effective, if murderous Soviet policies 
- a "special task" entrusted to his loyal Stalin henchmen.

There is a vast new area for WWII revisionists to dig into, now that 
the Soviet Archives are accessible to researchers like the 
Russian-speaking Jürgen Graf. Interestingly the Germans, even now, 
hang on to the story of alleged German brutality to the Slavs like a 
lollipop for a baby - even though Sudoplatov's and Victor Suvorov's 
books have been out for almost two decades.  [Similarly], the 
brainwashed and "re-educated" German people cling to the guilt in the 
Holocaust story, even though the facts, both historically and 
forensically, have been established since the testimony under oath 
and vigorous cross-examination in the two Zündel Trials, in 1985 and 
1988.

Once the mind is programmed, only de-programming [will set it] free! 
There, too, is another vast field of virgin territory to be covered 
by people with expertise in psychology and psychiatry, to explore and 
expose what dynamics and subliminal forces are employed and are still 
at work, to warp, confuse, disorient and manipulate an otherwise 
obviously intelligent, educated population, a whole nation in fact - 
like the Germans since 1945!

The conclusion to all this, as proven by that remarkable, yet 
abnormal behavior of the Japanese young men of U.S. Infantry Combat 
Unit 442 in WWII, is that the mind of human beings is the most 
undefended and unprotected territory and can be manipulated to 
terrible and efficient effect! Sadly, the "Americans" or American 
people, ostensibly the victors in WWII, have emerged as much the 
losers as their vanquished German foes, for all the tricks, 
subterfuges and shills learned and perfected by the Allies inventors 
and formulators of the nearly totally successful Allied policy of 
re-education (i.e. re-programming) of the German population was 
foisted on the American victor nation, beginning in the 1950s, as 
soon as the psychological warriors knew how to do it, and that it 
could be done.

American schools, Universities, T.V. and Hollywood movies were the 
tools! The defeated Germans were the guinea pigs.   America, Canada, 
England and Australia were the psy-wars' next battlefields, and the 
populations succumbed even more easily than the conquered Germans in 
a very short time!

The "Holocaust" was the tool and chief instrument used for the mental 
conquest of the Western nations.
