ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny

February 29, 2000

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

I am piecing together quotes from several articles dealing with the Eichmann diaries release - which is wonderful news for our efforts to debunk the Holocaust. One more document flushed out of the archives the world was not supposed to see!

Interspersed are comments of what this release likely signifies and how people perceive and comment on this rather stunning development.

* National Post: Israel agrees to release Eichmann manuscript | Megan Goldin - February 28. 2000

National Post:

Israel said yesterday it will hand over unpublished memoirs of executed Nazi official Adolf Eichmann for use as evidence in a British libel suit seen by many Jews as putting the Holocaust itself on trial.

Zundelsite:

Would the Jewish side do this if they were sure they have made a convincing presentation in that London courtroom so far? Not likely! For 40 years they have kept this diary under wraps, for fear it would help the "Holocaust deniers."

National Post:

Israel's Justice Ministry said the defence team in the libel case had asked for the memoirs to be released and a decision to hand them over was taken at a meeting yesterday between Elyakim Rubinstein, the Israeli attorney-general, and Israeli legal experts.

Zundelsite:

For Revisionists, this will supply grist for their mills. It will propel the Holocaust issue one more time to center stage. The media are already having a feeding frenzy.

National Post:

"All the participants agreed on the importance, as part of Israel's historical duty, of allowing the public to examine the memoirs," a Justice Ministry spokesman said.

Zundelsite:

Did Israel not have that "historic duty in 1962? Did it not have that "historic duty" when Eichmann's family requested this diary? Once again, political considerations dictate Israel's actions - not what the world could have known about Eichmann these past 40 years.

National Post:

"They also decided unanimously that it would be right to hand over, as soon as possible a copy of the manuscript to a representative of Professor Lipstadt so she can defend herself in a lawsuit brought by a Holocaust denier," he said.

Zundelsite:

Does that not make Lipstadt a tool of Israeli policy? Would that not qualify her as an Israeli Fifth Column(ist)? Overseas Jews are used by Israel for Israeli goals - just what people like former Mossad agent, Victor Ostrovsky, has been telling us.

National Post:

Israel has kept the memoirs under lock and key for decades. It recently said it favoured publishing the papers, which Eichmann wrote by hand from a prison cell before he was hanged in 1962, the only execution ever held in the Jewish state.

Zundelsite:

That certainly is news to many! The only execution ever held in the Israeli state - to kill the last remaining witness who escaped Nuremberg and who could have possibly shed some light on this period of history, had he given testimony before a non-Jewish court?

National Post:

Jewish leaders have voiced fears that a victory for Mr. Irving -- who rejects as vastly exaggerated the commonly accepted figure of six million Jewisd dead -- could lend credence to neo-Nazis who contend the Holocaust never took place.

Zundelsite:

The Irving-Lipstadt trial's outcome won't matter much. The Holocaust story is unraveling every hour by the hour. A Lipstadt victory will not change that one iota. Already the amount of public exposure has legitimized the debate and swayed millions the world over in Revisionists' favor. That's what political trials of this nature bring to the fore.

National Post:

Prof. Lipstadt's book links Mr. Irving with the growing popularity of white supremacists in the United States and neo-Nazis in Europe.

Zundelsite:

Smears, smears! However, the comment about the "growing popularity" is telling. You wonder why on earth that could be?

National Post:

Mr. Irving, author of a number of hotly debated books on the Holocaust, said earlier this month that the Nazi death camp at Auschwitz in southern Poland was a type of "Disneyland," built by Polish Communists after the Second World War to attract tourists.

Zundelsite:

Irving has not written a single book on the Holocaust - not one! Auschwitz is a theme park of hate which specializes in lying to tourists through fake gas chambers and fraudulent claims of the numbers of victims who died there.

National Post:

The handful of historians who have been allowed to study the Eichmann memoirs say they found nothing new in the scrawled account of his role in the annihilation of the Jews.

But Roni Stauber, an Israeli historian, who has studied Mr. Irving and the phenomenon of Holocaust denial, said that by releasing the Eichmann memoirs, Israel would show that the Nazi annihilation campaign against the Jews was well documented.

"This is always the claim of the Holocaust deniers -- that there is a conspiracy to hide the truth," Mr. Stauber said.

Zundelsite:

So why did Israel hide these Eichmann notes for 40 years? Could it be that the world realizes that the Israelis torture confessions out of Palestinians by breaking their bones, hoodings, beatings and psychological pressure? Some "truths", some "history" such tortures will produce!

* Associated Press, "Nazi Leader Eichmann Described Holocaust as Biggest Crime in History" by Karin Laub, February 29, 2000

Associated Press:

Leading Holocaust scholars in Israel have argued the document has no historic value because Eichmann distorted events to diminish his own role.

Zundelsite:

Nonsense! It has no historic value because the man, if he wrote them at all, was in Israeli custody - after being kidnapped and forcibly taken to Israel. Mossad methods and "Israeli Justice" have long been criticized by worldwide human rights organizations.

Associated Press:

Several months ago, Israeli Attorney General Elyakim Rubinstein agreed to give the manuscript to a German research institute, which was to eventually publish it with footnotes. Rubinstein changed his mind and agreed to an immediate publication without restrictions after he was asked to help Lipstadt.

Zundelsite:

Do these people stick together or what? This Irving-Lipstadt case must be troubling people in very high places!

Associated Press:

Yehuda Bauer, head of the Holocaust research institute at Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial, said Eichmann changed his tune to win favor with his Israeli captors. Bauer said in an interview Eichmann granted five years before the trial, while still a free man, the Nazi leader said he regretted he hadn't taken harsher measures against the Jews and that the creation of the state of Israel was a catastrophe.

Zundelsite:

That is exactly why, whatever Eichmann wrote under his particular circumstances in an Israeli prison in 1961-62, is of questionable value - certainly to history. It might give aid and comfort to Holocaust propagandists for a few days - to history this diary is a pimple.

* Jerusalem Post, "Abstract of Eichmann memoirs released by Jerusalem Post staff, February 29, 2000

Jerusalem Post:

Israel will allow the public access to the 1,300- page, handwritten papers, which were penned in an Israeli prison and kept under wraps for nearly 40 years. According to a decision Sunday by Attorney General Eliachim Rubinstein, the public will be allowed a printed version of the memoirs and view the original, handwritten notes in the state archives, subject to conditions set by archive officials.

Zundelsite:

You wonder what those "conditions" might be. Irving, suing Lipstadt for libel in a London court, should insist on independent paper-and-ink tests as well as handwriting analysis by experts.

Jerusalem Post:

"All...[archive officials] agreed on the importance, as part of Israel's historical duty, of allowing the public to examine the memoirs," a Justice Ministry spokesman said. They also decided unanimously that it would be right to hand over as soon as possible a copy of the manuscript to a representative of Professor Lipstadt, so she can defend herself in a lawsuit brought by a Holocaust denier," he said.

Zundelsite:

That Irving has them obviously worried! Israel has been sitting on those documents like the proverbial brooding hen protecting its breakable eggs!

* Ha'aretz, "Eichmann's diary opens to the public today, by Yair Sheleg, February 29, 2000:

Ha'aretz:

Israel's moral obligation to help defeat a lawsuit challenging the scope of the Holocaust outweighed strong misgivings about publishing the jail-house memoirs of the Nazi technocrat who organized the transport of millions of Jews to their death in the concentration camps, Attorney General Elyakim Rubinstein said yesterday.

Zundelsite:

Israel's "moral obligation"? What nonsense! Israel is one more time trying to shore up the most profitable lie in its propaganda arsenal. What the imprisoned Eichmann said is tainted because he was in solitary confinement held by a deadly enemy.

Ha'aretz:

State archivist Evyatar Friesel said the manuscript would be available to the public starting today and that any publication of it would be the responsibility of the publisher, since the copyright issues have still not been resolved. Israel had initially planned to give the Eichmann memoirs, locked up for three decades in the state archives, to a German research institute for publication, a process that was expected to take months, if not years.

Zundelsite:

So who panicked? Why?

Ha'aretz:

Even that decision was made only reluctantly, after one of Eichmann's sons, Dieter, threatened legal action to claim the book as family property. Until now, only a few scholars have seen the memoirs.

Zundelsite:

Surely it could not have taken 40 years to doctor these documents?

Ha'aretz:

Some Israeli officials have expressed concern that the document could fall into the wrong hands and that self-serving passages could be used by Holocaust deniers. Amos Hausner, whose father Gideon prosecuted Eichmann, questioned the wisdom of using the documents in court.

Zundelsite:

Wait until Dr. Robert Faurisson has dissected these papers!

Ha'aretz:

"We still have many Holocaust survivors with us; they can testify on the gas chambers," Hausner, a lawyer himself, said in a phone interview with the Associated Press. "But instead of believing those people, we take the document of a Nazi criminal before he was executed."

Zundelsite:

It is very telling that not one Jewish organization or individual has produced one live "gas chamber eye witness" to step into the witness box in London. A dead Nazi, who cannot be cross-examined, and whose papers the Israelis sat on for 40 years, is the best that they can do to prove that "gas chambers" were used in a genocidal effort against Jews by Hitler's Germany?

Ha'aretz:

Israel hopes the memoirs will provide more proof of the systematic killings of Jews by the Nazis, as well as the scope of the genocide.

Zundelsite:

What more proof is needed? The Holocaust promoters have shrieked for decades that it's an "open and shut case." Now it turns out it is not?

Ha'aretz:

"We think as part of Israel's obligation and commitment as a Jewish state, all of us being survivors in fact of the Holocaust, we felt that we should enable the public to have access to what was written, Attorney General Rubinstein told reporters.

Zundelsite:

While the Attorney-General is at it, fulfilling his moral obligation to history, why not also release the diaries of Heinrich Himmler - another man who died under mysterious circumstances while in Allied captivity? The Israelis have their diaries! Moral obligation to the fore!

Ha'aretz:

According to Rubinstein, Eichmann wrote that the killing of Jews was the worst crime in the history of mankind.

Zundelsite:

That could have been written by a script writer for Steven Spielberg or the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Ha'aretz:

Tom Segev of Ha'aretz, who has written widely on the Holocaust and its effects on Israel's society, said the decision to release the Eichmann memoirs should have been made long ago. "The principle must be that no material on the Holocaust remains locked in the archives," he said.

Zundelsite:

Right on! Open up Arolson! Put everything out in the open! That would once and for all settle this mess that has sickened the globe!

Thought for the Day:

"Lest we forget, Mr Irving has reminded us in the clearest and most open way that his reason for taking part in the revisionist struggle and ours are altogether separate and unequal.

"On the one hand, a gentleman wishes to be able to continue living comfortably as a best-selling author.

"On the other hand, a movement wants to free Europe from enslavement to a vilifying lie, the exploitation of which promises to kill what is left of its civilisation. This exploitation prodigiously benefits the Judeo-anglosaxons and their associates, who have the geopolitical whip hand, thanks to it."
