ZGram - Where Truth is Destiny

New Year's Day 2003

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Remember the Indian Chief? Here is a follow-up:

[START]

THE SCALPING OF CHIEF AKENAHEW -- THE BACKGROUND

Friday, December 13, was a bad day for Chief Dr. (he likes
the honorific
"doctor" after being granted an honorary degree by the University of
Regina) David Ahenakew. On that day, addressing about 200 people at a
Saskatchewan Federation of Indian Nations' health conference, Ahenakew
said: ""That's how Hitler came in. He was going to make damn sure that the
Jews didn't take over Germany or Europe. That's why he fried six million of
those guys, you know. Jews would have owned the goddamned world. And look
what they're doing. They're killing people in Arab countries." (Saskatoon
Star-Phoenix, December 14, 2002)

Reaction was swift. The earth fell in on Ahenakew. After
initially backing
his right to speak, fellow Indian leaders abandoned Ahenakew in droves. He
was stripped of his Senatorial role in the Saskatchewan Federation of
Indian Nations. The Canadian Jewish Congress and an echo named Stephen
Harper, leader of the Canadian Alliance, called for charges under the "hate
law" -- Section 319 of the Criminal Code. Almost immediately, the
Saskatchewan Attorney General ordered such a probe. The CJC, the GLOBE AND
MAIL and the NATIONAL POST all demanded that Ahenakew be stripped of his
membership in the Order of Canada.

Within a week, the previously defiant Ahenakew, known among
natives as a
foul-mouthed outspoken leader, was there before the television cameras
blubbering and apologizing for having offended anyone. Naturally, his
humiliation wasn't nearly enough. The Canadian Jewish Congress and the
Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre demanded that he at least give up or
be stripped of his Order of Canada medal.

Needless to say, Ahenakew's future as an Indian spokesman or
leader went
up in smoke signals.

The Ahenakew case demonstrates two important truths about Canada today:
that the official religion of the political/media establishment is the
holocaust and that the behavioural approach of this establishment can be
called Minorityitis -- the preference for the interests of other groups to
the interests of your own ethnic/religious group.

THE HOLOCAUST REPLACES CHRISTIANITY AS CANADA'S NEW SECULAR RELIGION

First, the state religion of the Canadian political/media
establishment is
the holocaust. Now, nominallly, a majority of that establishment are
Christians. Prime Ministers Mulroney and Chretien are both practising
Catholics. However, that establishment, with Chretien in the lead, has
sought to marginalize and denigrate Christianity. Chretien decreed that
Christian ministers at the memorial for those who died on the Swissair
Flight must not mention "Christ", lest the very word offend someone,
somewhere. Chretien and almost all of Ottawa, including most of the
opposition Canadian Alliance, are among those seeking to eliminate
"Christmas" from the official vocabulary. Almost no MP sent out a card
recognizing "Christmas" this year. It was "seasons greetings" and "happy
holidays" all around, despite the fact that Christmas is a Christian feast
and celebrated by the overwhelming majority of Canadians.

The provincial political establishment is little better. Only two
premiers, those of Newfoundland and Quebec, mentioned Christmas in their
Christmas cards. A large menorah proclaiming "Happy Hannukah" dominates
Queen's Park in Ontario, Canada's largest province. There's no Christmas
decorations outside. Ontario is ruled by the once-traditional Tories.

The federal government has stood by while mountains of
lawsuits, solicited
by lawyers, pile up and begin to bankrupt Christian churches -- notably the
Anglicans and the Catholic Oblates of Mary Immaculate. These lawsuits stem
from overheated claims of "cultural genocide" in the residential schools
the federal Government had asked the churches to run on their behalf to
educate Indians in far-flung reserves.

The Canadian courts, human rights commissions and politicians
have pushed
the homosexual agenda, a clear repudiation of the teachings of most
Christian (and we might add, Moslem) churches. Now we have "gay marriages,"
the gay lifestyle held up as every bit as valid as heterosexual marriage,
and now Supreme Court-mandated homosexual propaganda -- all in the name of
"tolerance", of course -- in B.C. schools.

No, Christianity is not the state religion of Canada's political elite.

Note what happened to Chief Ahenakew after his comments about
Hitler and
the treatment of the Jews in World War II. The initial reaction of fellow
SFIN leaders and of ourselves was summed up in the words of Lawrence
Joseph, Vice President of the Saskatchewan Federation of Indian Nations
(SFIN): "Whatever he says personally is an opinion as a war veteran. He has
that right."

That's how we know that the holocaust has become a sort of secular
religion. Religion is a matter of faith. Within the faith, there can be no
deviation. There isn't just another "opinion". Dissent is heresy and must
be crushed by "dungeon, fire, and sword."

The holocaust, as an article of faith, holds that Hitler was
some sort of
madman. He stirred the German people -- who are a vile lot anyway,
according to this faith -- against the Jews. Hitler ordered their
destruction and six million were thus exterminated, as Hitler went off to
try to conquer the world. This simpleton's view of history, like any
religious faith, allows for no dissent. One must believe.

On one level, Ahenakew's comments were such broad, sweeping
exaggerations
that they sounded like late night bar talk. We've all heard it. Things like
"the only solution to the problem is to shoot all the ...."

Ahenakew claimed that Hitler had to "fry" the Jews to prevent them from
running everything. Calm critics might have pointed out that Hitler had
secured his power, had been in power for 6 years, before the war began in
1939 and any serious round-up of Jews commenced. He already was in a
dominant position. A more reasoned account might have noted that Hitler saw
most Jews as bitter ideological opponents. In 1933, soon after Hitler won
power, the World Jewish Congress called for economic warfare against
Germany. Entering the life and death struggle of World War II, Hitler, as
did Canada with its Japanese, decided to intern most of the highly
politically suspect Jewish minority.

None of this justifies mistreatment or murder. Ahenakew's heresy was to
suggest that Hitler might have had some reasonable grounds for hostility
toward many of Germany's Jews. The holocaust faith demands belief in the
total villainy of Hitler. Others who have noted the apparent success of
Hitler's economic programmes have also come in for defamation. To note
that, in 1939, Germany was thriving economically, while Canada, the U.S.,
and Britain remained mired in the poverty and unemployment of the great
Depression is another form of heresy.

A heretic must not be refuted. There is no arguing with
heresy. It must be
destroyed. The heretic must not just be executed, he must be burned and all
earthly remnants of his existance obliterated. The same religious
fanaticism was brought to bear on the hapless Ahenakew. He was forced to
run a gauntlet, like those Indians tooks as captives in days of yore. As
the poor wretch staggered down the line, he was beaten and pummelled by
those he passed. The same abuse was heaped upon the dissident David
Akenahew. He was swiftly stripped of all positions within the SFIN.

Indian leaders like George Erasmus and Mathew Coon Come denounced him.
Coon Come, Grand Chief of the Assembly of First Nations, the Globe and Mial
(December 21, 2002) reported, attended "prayer services in a Montresal
synagogue to ensure relations between Canada's Jewish and native
communities are not strained by comments of a former native leader." George
Erasmus, president of the Aboriginal Healing Foundation, wrote: "As an
aboriginal person, I am saddened and sickened to see Mr. Ahenakew's
comments. He has offended Jewish people everywhere." (Globe and Mail,
December 18, 2002)After due consideration -- one wonders whether Ottawa
pooh bahs informed them that their massive federal funding might be
affected -- federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations chief Perry
Bellegarde said of Ahenakew: "They're very racist, intolerable comments."
(Globe and Mail, December 17, 2002) No ethnic solidarity there. Even after
he apologized, the RCMP said this wouldn't let him off the hook in their
"hate law" investigation and the CJC wanted him to give up his Order of
Canada medal.

As part of the campaign not to debate or refute Chief Akenahew but to
destroy him, the Globe and Mail (December 17, 2002) recommended: "As a
society expressing abhorrence for what he has expressed, Canmada can start
by stripping him of his membership in this country's highest order -- the
Order of Canada."

Globe and Mail columnist Margaret Wente is usually quite
sensible. Yet, in
her column of December 17, she blasted Chief Ahenakew and demanded: "Why
don't people who describe themselves as oppressed minorities identify with
the most oppressed minority in hisory -- Jews?" Blacks and others might
disagree as to who is the most oppressed minority. Her comment in part of
the holocaust theology that the sufferings of the Jews in World War II
constituted the worst crime in human history.

MINORITYITIS VERSUS CANADA FIRST

Again, it's a matter of faith, not reason. People who can
count might note
that more Ukrainians died under Stalin's famine -- 8 to 10-million --to
break the kulaks, more than even the highest estimates of Jews killed in WW
II. Certainly, more Chinese died under Mao's lunatic "Great Leap Forward"
-- 30-million. It little matters that Jews are the richest ethnic minority
in Canada. Although a tiny minority, they are heavily represented in the
media and in the corridors of power. As the flap over Chief Ahenakew
demonstrates, their sensitivities are the first priority of Canadian media
writers and politicians. Yet, somehow, according to the holocaust religion,
they must continue to be portrayed as history's most put-upon victims.

Now, Jews might quite understandably see the suffering of their
co-religionists as THEIR greatest tragedy, just as Armenians might see
their losses under the Turks in WW I, as their greatest tragedy.

Incredibly, the Canadian establishment, as indeed have their
counterparts
in the U.S. and some European countries, have adopted the tribal
sensibilities of one group -- Jews being just over a mere one per cent of
the Canadian population -- as their own.

Scarcely a Canadian adult is unaware of the magic number
6-million. This
figure, a number to be conjurd with, he will know, is the number of Jews
allegedly killed by the Nazis in World War II. Yet, ask this same creature
of Minorityitis how many of HIS people, Canadians, died in World War I, and
I doubt that one in 50 would know the truth -- 66,655! While he'll know all
the canned Hollywood prattle about the alleged attempted genocide against
another people, he'll almost certainly have no idea that the colossal
carnage in the Great War, when Canada had a miniscule population, took our
best and brightest. This slaughter is the explanation for the fact that
we've been ruled politically and in other institutions by second raters
ever since. Our best and brightest died and, for the most part, did not
breed and reproduce themselves. We all know of the travails of our tiny
Jewish minority, yet know virtually nothing of our own genetic dispossession!

Evolution shows us that successful groups and species promote
and protect
their own. That's what nationalism is. A person's first obligation is to
himself and his family, then to his tribe/race/people. Most would condemn a
man who let his own children go hungry while racing across town to feed
others.

Two generations ago, our policy focus -- putting Canada and Canadians
first -- was trite, a political commonplace. It was unacceptionable.
Everyone at least paid lip service to it.

Sadly, along came Minorityitis. This is a moral sickness, a behavioural
pathology. Those infected with it promote and prefer others, other races
and ethnicities, to their own. They are self-haters and self-detroyers.
Regretably, Minorityitis, with its lying slogans of "tolerance" and
"diversity", is the common practice of Canada's political and media
establishment today.

People new to the populist movement often begin by noting some of the
outward absurdities of Minorityitis. For instance, there's a Miss Black
Canada Pageant, a Miss Tamil Canada contest, but, if one were to propose a
Miss White Canada, you'd be a racist. Every minority can strive for
respect, for recognition of its history, but if Euro-Canadians ask for the
same respect, again they're "racists" or, at the very least, Euro-centric.

Thus, we have Canada's editorialists and columnists almost to a man or
woman attacking Chief Ahenakew for his potted history, for having attacked
the most favoured minority.

In November 1990, speaking at a conference examining the
implications of a
recent Supreme Court of Canada decision on native fishing rights, Mr. Bill
Wilson, Chairman of B.C.s First Nation Congress and a well-known native
activist, informed the delegates, mostly lawyers, academics and the like,
that the early White settlers were "homely, diseased, smelly people on
boats." Whites came to Canada, he explained, "because you were the lowest
of the low. You came here because you had nowhere else to go. And what did
we (natives) do? Well, we welcomed you. Stupid mistake. Really stupid
mistake. We should have kicked your ass for a hundred years. And we really
should have killed you for a hundred years, and hopefully, selective
breeding could have produced some decent people."(Western Report, Dec. 3,
1990) This ill-natured blast was a virtual call for genocide. Yet, there
were no demands from the establishment that Wilson be charged under the
"hate law" or stripped of his government-funded posts. After all, he was
only attacking Whites, the founder settler peoples of this country.
Minorityitis prevented politicians and media from recognizing or reacting
to an attack on their own kind when it occurred.

Indeed, the media has assiduously downplayed or covered up the verbally
abusive gaffes on the part of Indian leaders that would have led Trent
Lott-like to the demise of a White politician who had slurred a privileged
minority. "Last winter, the Southern Chiefs of Manitoba called a news
conference to lay out the native side of a fishing dispute with White
fishermen. In the midst of the conference, one of the chiefs said 'nigger.'
Chief Barry McKay was actually making a complimentary point about the
ascendency of black people in the United States. ... Chief McKay of the
Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation in Western Manitoba remembered his poor
choice of words. ... 'I didn't know what they called themselves at the
time. I was trying to find the right wording without offending nobody. At
the time, I couldn't remember what they liked to be called. I know they
don't like <black> or <coloured> or <niggers> and to be honest, I just
couldn't remember. I think it's African American." (Globe and Mail,
December 19, 2002) McKay's wrestling with the ever shifting verbal sands of
political correctness is engaging. Reporters thoughtfully suppressed the
chief's "nigger" mistake.

During Canada's ill-fated intervention in Somalia in the early '90s, a
furor developed over alleged White racism in Canada's Airborne Division.
The resulting flap, largely focussing on the slaying of one Shidane Arone,
a Somalian thief beaten to death in the Canadian compound led to the
disbanding of this elite unit. Ironically, one of the perpetrators was
"Clayton Matchee, an aboriginal from Saskatchewan, [who] lit a cigarette
and told a fellow soldier: 'The White man feared the Indian, So, too, will
the Black man.'" (Globe and Mail, December 19, 2002)

Minorityitis is most glaring in what was not asked by the media and the
politicians who attacked Chief Ahenakew. In his rambling speech Ahenakew
"told the gathering he has warned provincial officials that '40 years down
the road, we're going to be taking over (because of population growth among
Indian people). We're going to be the government. You (non-Indians) are
going to be the Indians and we're going to be the bosses. And you (the
government) better start preparing right now." (Saskatoon Star-Phoenix,
December 14, 2002) Ahenakew, who has prospered in many taxpayer-funded
offices as a professional Indian has little use for Whites. "Racism is
alive and kicking here. Racism is as Canadian as Hockey Night in Canada,"
Ahenakew told a parliamentary inquiry, September 29, 1983. (Globe and Mail,
December 21, 2002) Interestingly, no journalist asked the pertinent
question: If Ahenakew admired Hitler for "frying" Jews who, he claimed,
owned everything and sought to dominate, what would his position be in
regards to White Canadians when Indians take over politically in
Saskatchewan? Now, this would be the sort of healthy Canada First attitude
that would seek out the interests of real Canadians in the present and
future, rather than fixate on comments about the fate over half a century
ago of people who were not Canadians and lived an ocean away.

Only National Post (December 19, 2002) columnist Mark Steyn
came anywhere
near criticizing Minorityitis, noting that Ahenakew had been coddled by an
establishment that winked at his contempt for Whites: " FSIN Vice-Chief
Lawrence Joseph blames the media: 'It's f---ing garbage. What was your
intent to print that story?' he told the paper. 'It should not have even
been pursued.' And you can see his point. First Nations spokesnatives use
inflammatory language all the time. Unlike his equivocating colleagues,
Matthew Coon Come was shrewd enough to offer an "unconditional"
condemnation of the Jew stuff. But this is the same fellow who in Durban
told the UN Conference on Racism that only last year Canada's natives had
been savagely attacked by 'white mobs.' If you make your living telling
folks white mobs are after you, what's the big deal about throwing the Jews
in the mix, too? Needless to say, the government paid Mr. Coon Come to fly
to Durban to trash his country, just as it has paid Mr. Ahenakew for most
of the past four decades. That's the difference between us and, say, the
Syrians. State-funded Jew-hating Syrians are pro-Syrian. But state-funded
Jew-hating Canadians, like Mr. Ahenakew, hate Canada, too." --
