Irving disputes 'lurid' atrocity stories - by Michael Horsnell:

DAVID IRVING, the Hitler historian, challenged in the High Court yesterday the credibility of evidence of Auschwitz survivors. The veracity of Henryk Tauber, a Jew forced to work in the crematoriums, stretched "a reasonable historian's credibility", he claimed. Mr Irving, 62, who is suing Deborah Lipstadt, an American academic, and her publisher, Penguin Books, for libel over her claim that he is a Holocaust-denier, pointed to Tauber's eye-witness accounts of one Jew set alight with petrol by the SS and another thrown into a pit of boiling human fat.

The Director of the Yad Vashem Horror Museum in Israel admitted that over half of the 20,000 "eyewitness" statements recorded there are false, fabrication, and retelling of stories second- or third-hand, talking of places that did not exist and events which did not take place! Some "eyewitness" accounts!
Times:
This was the sort of "lurid" evidence that should be open to more than normal scrutiny, Mr Irving said during his cross-examination of Robert Van Pelt, a Dutch Auschwitz expert. Mr Irving suggested that Tauber's "precision" was prompted by the Polish authorities. But Professor Van Pelt described the evidence as plausible.

Plausible? Just like Raul Hilberg found the "jumping buckets of muscles" of killed Holocaust victims plausible in the 1985 Zündel Trial - and could not get himself to fully reject the "soap from dead Jews" story, insisting that those rumors were not "disproven" - and, therefore, presumably true.
Times:
According to further evidence he gave after his liberation, Tauber helped to incinerate the corpses of up to 2,500 Greek, French and Dutch Jews a day in Crematorium 2 at Auschwitz. Tauber said he saw cyanide pellets poured into the gas chambers down small "chimneys".

Times:
But Mr Irving told Mr Justice Gray, sitting without a jury, that no homicidal gas chambers existed at Auschwitz. Eyewitness evidence had been "totally demolished" because there were no holes discernible in the roof of the gas chambers.

Dr. Faurisson, Ditlieb Felderer, Fred Leuchter and David Cole found no hollow pillars, no induction posts except crudely hammered and chipped-out holes in the concrete. Times:
Professor Van Pelt referred the judge to a photograph of February 1943 which, he said, showed openings above ground on the newly completed roof. The hearing was adjourned until tomorrow.

GERMAN, Austrian and other European leaders joined Ehud Barak, the Israeli Prime Minister, prominent Jews and historians yesterday at a three-day conference called by Sweden to ensure that the world does not forget the Holocaust.

The forum, attended by Robin Cook, the Foreign Secretary, among 600 people from 40 countries and 20 heads of government, will look at the extermination of six million Jews during the Second World War, as well as gypsies, homosexuals and others.

The tired old collection of reactionaries, war profiteers and professional victims meet - and so what else is new? Trying to deflect the world's attention away from the devastating headlines of the Irving proceedings?
Times:
The initiative by Goran Persson, the Swedish Prime Minister, comes at a time when the far Right is enjoying a renaissance in Europe and amid shock in Sweden at the growth of neo-Nazism.

Running scared? Being shocked? The truth in history is catching up with their World War II propaganda lies - and the entire world is watching.
Times:
An immediate focus was Israel's threat to break off relations with Austria if Jörg Haider, the right-wing leader of the Freedom Party, is included in a coalition government. Viktor Klima, the caretaker Social Democrat Chancellor, was expected to discuss the crisis with Mr Barak.

Austria should be so lucky if Israel would break off relations! Germany might watch and learn a thing or two.
Times:
Jewish leaders voiced suspicion of Herr Haider, who has praised Nazi policies and who ran a campaign tinged with xenophobic rhetoric. Michael Melchior, the Israeli minister responsible for fighting anti-Semitism, said: "This man and his teachings are insults to decency and democracy."
Zundelsite:
The same shopworn, threadbare mantra! Nobody cares what these whiners are mouthing.
But: Finally an interesting comment by Viktor Klima, Austria's acting chancellor - and I quote:
"Klima said he knew the conference delegates were concerned about increasing prospects that Joerg Haider - whose praise of the Nazi era and distrust of foreigners has drawn condemnation from several countries - may succeed in talks to form a government coalition between his far-right Freedom Party and a centrist junior partner.
Delegates applauded Klima as he said that the Holocaust was the worst crime this century and ***'anyone who does not say this is clearly not responsible enough to be entrusted with any public position national or international.'*** (emphasis added).

Be sure to read between the lines! How stupid will these people look in the foreseeable future - when the "Holocaust" will be revealed as the Hoax of the 20th Century and will become the laughing stock to amuse future generations.

Thought for the Day - long but apropos:
". . . Israeli educational authorities removed the international plus sign from the textbooks of elementary arithmetic used in the first grades of Israeli schools. Allegedly, this plus sign, which is a cross, could religiously corrupt little Jewish children. Instead of the offending cross, the authorities substituted a capital "T." This substitution was made some years after Israel became a state; the influence of Jewish fundamentalism was responsible. If this substitution had been made by the Taliban in Afghanistan, by the Iranian regime or by China during the cultural revolution, it would probably have been discussed at length. In contrast, this easily discoverable fact has been omitted in English-language articles and books concerned with Israeli Jewish society and Judaism.
