Bulletin from Ingrid Zundel
A brief update for my readers:
Mainstream media has turned into a virtual Zundel tsunami. I cannot keep
up any more.
It is the third day, but no government agency or any other official agency
has contacted me yet to tell me what happened to my kidnapped husband who
gets shuffled around in charter planes and such to demonstrate how
"dangerous" he is. Please note that from now on, Ernst Zundel will not be
smeared as much as "Holocaust Denier" any more - he has been re-christened
by Judge Blais as "White Supremacist."
However, he is still alive - which is a big comfort to me. Yesterday, a
politically incorrect Zundel laugh was heard on at least three national
television broadcasts when charges for "incitement of hate" were presented
to him on the talmudic silver platter.
I think from now on, Ernst should be careful where and how he laughs.
Urban legend has it that Gunther Deckert, a brave political activist
fighting valiantly for his people's human and civil rights, misspoke
himself by saying "Holo" with a grin, instead of "Holocaust" with downcast
eyes, which netted him a prison term extension of several more years. I
hope I have this story right - if not, I will publish a correction.

A brief e-mail sent to me said this:
GERMANS RALLY IN MANNHEIM FOR ZUNDEL'S FREEDOM
To protest the detention of Ernst Zundel in Germany, some 40-50 activists of
the "Rhein-Neckar National Resistance Action Center" rallied on Wednesday,
March 2, in the pedestrian shopping zone in central Mannheim. They
distributed leaflets demanding freedom for Zundel and all other political
prisoners, and the abolition of the laws that ban "Holocaust denial" and
restrict free speech.

The Globe and Mail, which was one
of the fairer papers in dealing with the Zundel Saga in Canada, let loose
with a couple of truly nasty articles. The worst came from someone called
Margaret Wente. I won't do her the favor of giving you the link - it was
sheer odious poison pen stuff. In reply I shipped the following - not that I
expect to see it published, however:

The taxpayers of Canada have watched what was done to Ernst Zundel for
decades. Very few have protested the undignified show. The vast majority
put up with the media's buckets of slime while silently footing the bill
for a noisy minority's lawyers.
I am Ernst Zundel's wife. Might now be the time for some questions?
Should a man who has not even been charged, much less convicted, of any
wrongdoing in your country, or in mine, be kidnapped first by shady
entities that batten on the public trough, dragged back to Canada in
chains, to suffer in an ice cold cell for two long years? Where the
light was never turned off? Where the slop was always served cold?
Can a country fall so low as to allow a "judge", who was a former CSIS
boss - the very agency behind the Zündel smear file that even his
lawyers were forbidden to inspect - to run a Soviet-style show trial?
Some people call that impact prosecution. A precedent was needed. In
Canada, a precedent has now been set.
A Jewish journalist put it in a nutshell for me: "The Holocaust is not a
religion for Jews. It is a religion par excellence for goyim."
Think hard. Ever heard of a Weapon of Mass Deception?
A long time ago I read about an entertaining journalistic practice in a
medieval town that dealt with unwelcome truth by public degradation. A
speech offender would be taken to the town square and have his shackled
wrists be forced across his knees. A rod was passed behind his knee caps
and fastened to a rope attached to the beam of the gallows. The helpless
reprobate, unable to defend himself, was hoisted upside down and given
over to the mercy of most any sleazy scribbler in need of a halo who
could give the rascal a vigorous push. Applause was always forthcoming.
Have Canada's embedded journalists ever asked themselves if what Ernst
Zundel found over decades of painstaking research might be the truth and
nothing but the truth? Of course not. Give him another kick. Your
masters will applaud.

Finally, many have asked how I feel and how I am holding up. Horst Mahler
put it succinctly in an email to me: "Gejammert wird nicht!" No
yammering! I had to laugh in spite of it all - typically German! Stiff
upper lip!
Actually, I don't feel defeated at all. Germany is different from Canada,
believe me. Ernst is among his own - thousands and thousands who love and
respect him. I think his presence will be impactful and for the good of
Germany, but it will not be easy. We need strong men and women - no
shrinking violets, nincompoops, or ostriches.
Ernst's deportation to Germany does throw a monkey wrench into my plans to
work intensively on the documentary, as I had planned. I am now back at
the keyboard which I had meant to put aside - I have a whole box full of
floppies of magnificent German translations of all sorts of books and
articles that will now have to be posted to make the Zundelsite available
to the German-language communities world-wide.
