Police find cocaine in German Jewish leader's
flat

POLICE said yesterday that traces of cocaine had been
found in the Frankfurt apartment of Michel Friedman, the prominent deputy
head of the German Jewish community.
They searched his apartment after a tip-off from Berlin
investigators who arrested a Polish-Ukrainian prostitution gang. One of
the arrested women said she was part of a group that supplied sexual
services to celebrities, and claimed that she saw Herr Friedman take
cocaine.
The furore whipped up by the raid on the home of Herr
Friedman, a Christian Democrat politician, has shaken some long-standing
taboos in German society: since the Hitler years the press has been very
cautious about openly criticising members of the Jewish community.
Herr Friedman, whose parents were saved from death in
Auschwitz by Oscar Schindler, has refused to comment on the accusation.
But the mass circulation Bild newspaper, part of the Springer group, which
requires its journalists formally to support the state of Israel, said in
a headline yesterday, even before the police had tested the white powder
found by dogs in the raid, "Drug-thriller Friedman".

The Romanian government issued a blunt denial yesterday
that the Holocaust hit the country during the Second World War, defying
historical accounts of a campaign of anti-Semitic persecution orchestrated
by its pro-Nazi wartime regime.
The statement, issued by the Public Information Ministry,
startled Jewish leaders in Romania, where 250,000 Jews were killed or
deported to concentration camps under the rule of Marshal Ion Antonescu.
"We firmly claim that within the borders of Romania between 1940 and
1945 there was no Holocaust," the ministry said.

The agency that provided the "documentation"
that allowed Canada's ministers to issue the "Security
Certificate" on Ernst Zundel, claiming that he is a "risk to the
security of Canada" is in very hot water indeed:

recordings of intercepted phone calls of the suspected mastermind in the
1985 bombing of Air India's Kanishka flight, which killed 329 people on
board, even while it was negotiating with police over giving them access
to the tapes.
Only 54 of about 300 tapes remained intact by the time
senior Royal Canadian Mountain Police (RCMP) staff found out that CSIS was
erasing them, court documents show shedding light on the controversial
role of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service both before and after
the bombings.

Of course they would like to give automatic support to the
CSIS. But they can't. Because then the Canadsian government gets
international blame for whitewashing the CSIS scandal. As guilty as the
CSIS.
But what can Canada do? The U.S. doesn't want Zundel back
bringing scandal. Germany doesn't want Zundel back causing uproar.
You guys have got three governments into a super bind of
the highest order. No wonder "they" can't report about June 5!
They don't know WHAT to do! You blew every fuse in the works!

Wish it were true!
We do have a number of initiatives in the works and some
surprises in the making, but in the meantime, Ernst Zundel does not yet have
a chair to sit on and must do his legal work either standing by the table or
kneeling, and he sleeps by putting some books under his mattress so that he
can pretend it is a pillow.
This is important: Ernst has urged me again and again not to
blame the guards or even the prison supervisors since the appalling prison
conditions are not their fault. He says they are doing their job under very
difficult circumstances, often dealing with the worst cases of serious
criminality the human race has managed to bring forth. These appalling
prison conditions are the faults of the politicians who permit these abuses
- and who refuse to acknowledge, much less act, on complaints.
The Government of Canada refuses to acknowledge that Ernst
Zundel, who has NO criminal record in Canada, as they themselves admit, has
worn for four long months the orange overall of convicted mass murderers,
multiple rapists and child molesters! For what? For blowing the whistle on
the Holocaust extortion racket?
Who really is in charge of Canada?
How long is this human rights abuse spectacle going to last?

over the unfair treatment Ernst Zündel has received.
