Emergency Update:
Last night, I talked to Ernst briefly. I told him that media
had been besieging me again, asking me if it was true that Ernst would be
deported shortly. I told them nobody had told me anything. Ernst himself,
when I talked to him last, did not know.
Around 5 p.m. or so, one of our attorneys visited him. There
were no unusual messages or any indication that deportation or relocation
had been scheduled. It is now Monday, 9:40 am.
I was scheduled to see Ernst at 12:45 I called the jail and
asked to have my visitor's hour verified. Ernst is no longer there.
The detention center person did not know where he might be.
He said: "Call the INS"
The Knoxville INS does not even give out its number.
Besides, it is a holiday today.
I cannot get through to Memphis.
Both of my attorneys are not reachable.
