In Part IV of that extraordinary Krauthammer article that appeared in The Weekly Standard, May 29, 2000/Vol 5, Number 35, titled "The Collapse of Zionism", Krauthammer gets deep into the meat of the matter: Israel the racist, fascist state preaching One-World-Order to the rest of goyimhood:
Krauthammer:
What does post-Zionism mean in practice? It means that Israel should be not a Jewish state, but a "state of its citizens," a democracy like any other with no particular commitment to the survival or advancement of any one culture or people. Thus the most fundamental law in the Israeli canon, "the Law of Return" that guarantees refuge and citizenship in Israel for any Jew in the world (and which David Ben-Gurion considered the most important law of the land) is under attack for being nationalist, particularist, even racist. A democratic state, it is said, would have no such ethnic tests.
Zundelsite:
Well, look who's talking now! Jewish leaders in Germany and the world over have forever been demanding that Germany do away with its own "folk"-based German citizenship. After almost a century of agitation, they largely succeeded.
All the arguments now so conveniently marshalled by Krauthammer were called invalid by his fellow Jews in the German case. Now Israel's young intellectuals apply the same "logic" to Israel's arguments. It will have the same devastating results for Israel as they had for the German state.
And, incidentally, for the American continent as well!
Krauthammer:
Nor is it just the Law of Return. Respected public figures, writes Hazony, have advanced the demand to de-Judaize the flag (with its Star of David) and the national anthem (Ha-Tikvah, "The Hope," which speaks of the Jewish longing to return to the homeland), and drain school curricula, the army, and the constitution of their distinctive Jewish national character. "The Jews living in Israel are now being asked not only to give up on geographical territories. We must also implement a 'redeployment' - or even a complete withdrawal - from entire regions in our soul," writes the celebrated Israeli author David Grossman. And what does this psychic withdrawal, this Reformation, mean? "Giving up on power as a value. Or the army itself as a value. . . . Refining a new existence for ourselves. One which is no longer drenched to the point of suffocation with the myth of our exile from the land, or with the myth of Masada, or with a one-dimensional lesson of the Holocaust."
Zundelsite:
Repeat, please, for the record: ***One which is no longer drenched to the point of suffocation with the . . . one-dimensional lesson of the Holocaust!***
Further to the issue: The Germans living in Germany are of a distinctive German national character who longed to preserve their ethnic uniqueness. This was called "neo-Nazi" by Jewish intellectuals the world over and demonized till hell was begging to freeze over. Jewish agitators in Europe and America forced the Germans to engage in a redeployment away from and of entire German provinces, and also forced them to a complete psychological withdrawal from entire regions of the German soul - forbidding them to sing their national anthem, to honor their past, their heritage, their heroes, their state. Everything German was trampled in the mud. Sons were set against their fathers, daughters against their mothers.
Let now the Jews in Israel be subjected to the same treatment by their own intellectuals - and see if they like it any more than the hapless, prostrate, disenfranchized Germans did!
Krauthammer, an American Jew, obviously does not like these Jewish-invented and promoted remedies for the Israelis. He glibly said, ". . . the West can afford these subversive elites. . . " conveniently forgetting that these very "subversive elements" are, and were, largely leftist, Marxist-Zionist Jewish intellectuals, writers and professors.
Krauthammer:
Post-Zionism aches for freedom - a new, quite un-Zionist kind of freedom: freedom from myth, freedom from chosenness, freedom from history, and, above all, freedom from power. Power is corrupting. The post-Zionists prefer incorruptibility. They yearn not for Zion, but for the purity that Jews enjoyed before they reacquired sovereignty. As one leading Hebrew University professor said decades ago in opposing Israel's founder, David Ben-Gurion: "We are burying a dream, . . . the dream of a land of Israel, the state of the pure and the moral."
Zundelsite:
Freedom from myths? That's what Revisionists the world over wanted all along. Freedom from a false, Zionist-created myth of the Holocaust, substituted as our history. Nothing else!
Krauthammer:
Over the last seven years, this quest for the pure and the moral has found expression in Israeli diplomacy and government. Of course, those in power are hardly going to call openly for the Jews to give it up unilaterally. How then to attain purity? The most ingenious solution to this conundrum comes from the architect of the Oslo accords, Shimon Peres.
Zundelsite:
Making the fox the guardian of the chicken coop! According to Israeli writer Barry Chamish,Shimon Peres is implicated in most corruption and bribery scandals in Israel's scandal-ridden history - and now implicated, too, according to Chamish, in the conspiracy which led to the assassination of Israeli leader Itzak Rabin.
Krauthammer:
Peres has discovered that power as traditionally understood does not matter anymore. In his astonishing 1993 book The New Middle East, he declares that "the traditional concept of national defense, which depends mainly on military and weapons systems...has changed." How? "The physical considerations of the traditional strategy - natural obstacles, man-made structures, troop mobilizations, location of the battlefields - are irrelevant." Or as he told the army's head of intelligence in a cabinet meeting: "There is economics and the military, and only a country which goes over to economics will win. Choosing between ten army emplacements and ten hotels, the ten hotels also constitute security. I'm for the European model, which emphasizes economics."
Zundelsite:
According to Barry Chamish, with Shimon Peres "money always talked." Why not now?
Krauthammer:
These statements would boggle the mind coming from anyone. But coming from the man who was only a few years ago at the helm of a besieged country, they are particularly ominous. Peres sees the Middle East as some sort of Benelux, where harmony and tolerance prevail, where power and weaponry are obsolete.
Zundelsite:
Krauthammer oversimplifies Peres's position, even though the realization that Israel cannot survive financially or psychologically another generation of being on a permanent war footing has finally hit home.
What really is at stake is this: Guilt money will be harder to come by in the coming years. The suckers in Germany and in the Congress and Senate of America are finally tired of being played for suckers. The signs of that are everywhere.
Why else would Steven Spielberg find it necessary to plan (count 'em!) four more orthodox Holocaust projects to force down gagging people's throats? For what? To shore up Jewish victim status - just a little while longer? To get the cash register to ring - just a little while longer? It is High Noon already.
Krauthammer:
A lovely dream. And quite mad. The first problem is that Israelis seem to be the only people in the region who believe it. And it takes more than Jews to tango. Egypt has built a massive American-supplied military. Syria is trying to negotiate a huge new weapons deal with Russia. Iraq and Iran are acquiring weapons of mass destruction and missiles aimed at Israel. Syria already has missiles tipped with poison gas. Lebanon's Hezbollah vows to fight the Jews until Jerusalem is liberated. And the Palestinians have been building up their forty-thousand-man "police force." Its mission is not the arrest of burglars.
Zundelsite:
It must be a problem to be an Israeli these days - to see all those enemies circling their state like sharks circle a life raft in a storm-tossed ocean.

Tomorrow: The Reckoning to come

Thought for the Day:
We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw.
Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together,
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar.
