There has been a fascinating global correspondence going on between various top Revisionists about yet one more discovered faked "Holocaust" photo. Our Revisionist sleuths are wondering aloud how Holocaust smoke can come out of a fence post.
Any of my readers who are interested in looking into the "faked photo" falsehoods of the lucrative Holocaust commerce might want to start with John Ball's website and what he has discovered. Last night, John wrote to me: "Groups like the Wiesenthal Center continue to use re-touched photos. See: air-photo.com
(click) NEW: Simon Wiesenthal Center website uses altered Auschwitz photo!
And speaking of yet more unverified "Holocaust" claims that are being slipped to an unsuspecting public to justify the war in Yugoslavia, here is another one, as summarized by Carol Valentine, President of Public Action, Inc., owner and webmaster of the Waco Holocaust Electronic Website at http://www.Public-Action.com/SkyWriter

I have already mentioned, and we have talked about, last week's "60 Minutes" show. Our friend David Martin decided to write a posting, asking the professors at alt.revisionism et.al. if they had ever heard of the incident Rooney described. Dave also e-mailed Rooney.
Rooney himself has not responded to Dave's request. Meanwhile, someone called bongoboy is kicking Dave for asking for details.
I think this is one of those marvellous open-ended opportunities for your holoscholars to work your magic upon!
As it is, there is a PERFECT entre to talk about all the forged photos we have been examining lately. It does not seem fair to keep all this knowledge inside our group.
In this posting, I have merely set the record straight on what David wants to know. I simply reposted his post, to force the discussion back onto the topic. <end>
(Along those lines, someone named "bongoboy" wrote):
It seems to me there has been a dispersal of attention from the original topic. David Martin asked a perfectly legitimate question. Allow me to remind you by reposting what he wrote:
Rooney Beats War Drums
It felt like the early days of the Vietnam War again listening to one of the high-profile members of the American press whip up war fever with one more reminder of how evil our enemies had been in World War II.
This time it was old Stars and Stripes propagandist, Andy Rooney, on the March 28th, 1999, edition of 60 Minutes vigorously defending our indefensible bombing-for-peace policy in Yugoslavia.
As a young man he had listened to the leaders of the America First Committee, he told us, who argued that the war in Europe was not our war and that we should stay out of it, and he was convinced.
But later, he said, near the end of the war as his outfit, for which he worked as a military reporter, liberated a concentration camp holding several hundred Jews he was able to see how wrong he had been.
Before they could free the prisoners, said Rooney, the German guards doused the buildings with gasoline and burned them all alive. Then (bear with me because I am working from memory here) he said he got to see Birkenau, and we all know what happened there.
"I wouldn't have said this a few weeks ago,' he then intoned, 'but we should trust Bill Clinton on this one."
But is 60 Minutes or anyone who works for them any more trustworthy than a man noted almost as much for his dishonesty as for his lechery? Not that his little homily has anything whatsoever to do with what we are now doing in alliance with Germany to our former allies against Germany in Serbia, but I really do wonder if Rooney is telling us the truth about the fiery atrocity he would have us believe he virtually witnessed.
It's interesting that he did not name the place. And if he is lying about World War II atrocities in this case, it would not be the first time that anyone on 60 Minutes did it. Please check out the following letter to Morley Safer and related materials at http://www.ukar.org/safer03.shtml.
So here are the questions I would like to direct to Andy Rooney:
1. Exactly when and where did the prisoner murder incident that you describe take place?
2. Did you write about it at the time for Stars and Stripes? Did anyone else for any other newspapers? Could you provide us the references?
3. Who, exactly, were the perpetrators? What happened to them? Was there a trial? Can you refer us to the trial record?
Frankly, the story does not ring true. Germans, defeated at this point, one would not think would go out of their way to antagonize those who (were) going to be holding their fate in their hands. We are being asked to believe that in this instance their pure evil simply overrode their most elementary sense of self-preservation.
I am directing my questions to Rooney at http://www.cbs.com , and I invite the readers of this posting to do so as well. This is a story that I think we should get to the bottom of.
p.s. The concentration camp at Birkenau is in Poland, which was in the Soviet area of conquest. If Rooney ever went there it would likely have been many years later." <end> --
Carol adds a PS, an excerpt of which poses some questions:
If you believe . . . Burger, Albright, Cohen and the "US" government give a damn about atrocities, visit the Waco Holocaust Electronic Museum. Six years after the event, NOT ONE of the murderers of the Branch Davidians has been indicted and brought to trial.
Would the murderers still be free if the Branch Davidians were a JEWISH religious community? Would we be bombing the Serbs if they were JEWISH? Would we be starving Iraqi children if they were JEWISH children? <end>
When I double-checked with Ernst about the "burning concentration camp" story, he said that it was "bull" - and suggested that Rooney consult his own earlier writings.
More than that, since Ernst had been on "60 Minutes" himself and had experienced first hand a whopping media hatchet job, he pointed out that he just happened to have two follow-up audio tapes (# 219 and 220) he called "The Andy Rooney Story."
Here is a content description:
# 219:
Following Ernst Zündel's abbreviated and skillfully chopped appearance on CBS "60 Minutes," a politically correct Andy Rooney just had to contribute his two cents' worth. As if Mike Wallace and the producers hadn't done enough of a hatchet job in distorting Zündel's statements, Rooney found it necessary to add insult to injury by heaping invectives upon a man of whom he knew little or nothing.
But there was a time when this once-young journalist was less concerned with pleasing his media masters than investigating and reporting the truth.
In 1947 Rooney co-authored a fascinating book entitled "Conqueror's Peace. A Report to the American Stockholders" which provides a vivid description of the turmoil in Europe subsequent to World War II.
Strangely enough, his account is totally devoid of tales of Jewish suffering, but replete with narratives depicting atrocities perpetrated on surrendering German soldiers, some of whom were shot by the victorious Americans, even as they held out the white flag of surrender. Not only soldiers, but civilians, too, suffered at the hands of the Allied "liberators." German families were displaced from their lifelong homes, which were then handed over to displaced Polish Jews (DPs).
Yet friction between the two groups was almost entirely non-existent.
Perhaps before mouthing off, Andy Rooney should have reread his own book.
# 220. Had Andy Rooney tried to publish his 1947 book today, chances are it would not make it into print.
As a wartime correspondent for Stars and Stripes, he was well aware of the value of propaganda and the need for censorship. During periods of bellicosity, the propagandist's duty is to vilify and demonize the enemy. Anything which might tend to portray the enemy favorably, must be expunged to maintain the necessary animosity.
With the end of the war, the truth began to emerge, and was poignantly chronicled in Rooney's "Conqueror's Peace." Balance was restored. Not all Germans were evil villains and not all Americans were knights in shining armor.
Even humorous incidents, which were hitherto suppressed because they might humanize the foe, are recounted by the now unfettered writer. Rooney recounts the amusing incident that saw two medics from opposing sides, who met on the battlefield as they each tended their wounded comrades. Putting aside their differences for the moment, they assisted each other in applying bandages to the injured soldiers, but came to blows when they began discussing politics!
Sadly, Rooney has abandoned his earlier fairness and embraced the trendiness of politically correct newspeak, by jumping on the bandwagon of Zündel-bashing. <end>
