ZGram: Where Truth is Destiny and Destination!

April 2, 1999

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

As some of us still gleefully remember but many people are beginning to forget, "Nizkor" was the opposition website which, with much fanfare, was going to drive the Zundelsite off the Net in an early 1996 cyber event, first called "debate" and then renamed "rebuttal" - an exercise that caused the first Internet Mexican stand-off between the thought police and free-speechers all over the world.

Nizkor's front man was, and is, a "shabbes goy" named Ken McVay, a Resolute Holocaust Believer. He diligently posts the Holocaust Lobby's Holocaust calendar of his intellectual chieftains in alt.revisionism, but otherwise, these days, he doesn't seem to do a lot - except treat his masters' opponents with time-honored smears.

He has done that to me at intervals - his favorite one being, for the past year or so, to smear me in the cyberworld with a story that I have somehow "perjured" myself about an affidavit I did about the Zundelsite - and on which I was cross-examined last year. A Chosenite was overheard to mutter - while he stood at the men's room urinal! - that such mischief was being considered as a discretionary strategy to do me in one of these days, to get me off the Zundelsite.

Which gives you an idea how these folks operate.

It's nasty character assassination tactics that Kennyboy has learned from people who apparently paid for his haircut - and to whom he is deeply indebted.

This morning I was sent a copy of a letter that Matthew Giwer, well-known for his tongue-lashing skills, has sent to a British paper, the London Telegraph. Matt's eagles eyes spied that the Telegraph had put up an obliging cyber-link to Nizkor, and Matt perceived an opportunity to shed a little revisionist light.

Here's what Matt Giwer told the Telegraph about the Nizkor website and McVay:

"There are several things of which you should be aware. The following is true to the best of my knowledge but I encourage you to confirm it all independently. I provide the method of verification. Most anyone familiar with the web can verify all of this in an hour at most.

So far as anyone can determine, Nizkor has exactly one member, an ex-patriot American, and possibly former US Marine, Kenneth McVay. There are occasional references to an organization but no one can find anyone who will state they are a member of the organization. Specifically that question has been asked.

In public lectures, McVay has mentioned numbers all over the map, 50, 150, 500. He appears to like the number 5. But no one can find a one of them. And I among others have asked.

One person, the semi-notorious Ernst Zundel, attempted to meet him when he, Zundel, traveled to British Columbia. The mailing address turned out to be a private mail drop. The call was screened by a Rabbi of a local synagogue who holds some kind of high position with B'nai Brith, Canada.

Mr. Zundel was later warned by email never to try to contact Mr. McVay again. Ah well, not only screen his phone calls but speak for him.

You are also invited to visit the newsgroup alt.revisionism and determine exactly the kind of people who claim to support Nizkor and whom McVay has never disavowed despite numerous and specific opportunities.

Alternatively you may go to Dejanews and search on a.r and words and terms the Nizkor supporters find extremely desirable to use, like "butt ______" and other juvenalia. Read their own words and discover that there is no place in the world where their posts could be published or read over the air.

After months of effort on my part a couple years ago, they toned it down a bit. That campaign is on Dejanews.

There is no clear history of Nizkor. At various times Mr. McVay has presented very different and quite conflicting stories of its origins.

One such history is that it was started with hundreds of hours of library research and typing while living on the dole. It appears there was no job market for library research or typing in British Columbia at the time. We have an unpleasant term for people like that in the US.

To add insult to injury, shall we say, he opened the internet site and a slim year later was awarded the Order of British Columbia with the usual, in the name of the Queen. So little effort for such a prize. Ever smell a story in need of a little investigative reporting? Or do you think that is the way things are done in BC? ... Open a holocaust website and get an OBC. So easy.

Something you will notice instantly, should you visit the Nizkor website, is literally tons of other people's materials, quite copyrighted, without a "by permission of" in sight. At one time the site bragged of 100 MB of such pirated material. I can only presume there is more now. You might even search it under Telegraph and not be surprised as to what you find.

As for the quality of the information provided, a recent exercise found the exact same "atrocity" picture with three different captions as having happened in different times and different places to different people. That is typical of the material on the website.

Those two are but a hint of the "quality" of the link you are providing. And as to the "atrocity" picture itself, it supports nothing in any of the three captions. It is more the creative captioning of a third rate tabloid.

And if you track some of the links to people alive today on that site you will find them clearly libelous even under the loose meaning of that in the US - not to mention Canada. Its US donation collector has been sued exactly for libel and has ceased affiliation with McVay.

As to donations, McVay has announced tax receipts as a tax deductible organization but has refused repeated requests to provide the tax number in support of that assertion. In the US there are public service announcements which tell us that if an organization refuses to provide that information, it is likely a scam. I have no opinion as to what McVay is up in that regard save refusal.

As I informed Wired when they quoted "president McVay" he is also vice president, recording secretary and janitor. They were taken in by a letterhead and a fax machine. He has not since been quoted.

Now personally I do not care what you do. I have found his website a treasure chest, a gold mine, of revisionist material. Make no mistake, I am one of those hated holocaust revisionists who can't find a gas chamber to salvage the story.

I find the website to be the best source in one place of evidence there were no gas chambers - so in general, please, continue to use it as a link. (...)"
