I wrote this ZGram already in May when I I put out one SOS after another to get the proclaimed cyber fighters, friend or foe, to stand up for the Zundelsite and publicize our struggle with the Canadian censorship jackals in various professions and industries that count. The only one who heeded the call to duty was Matt Giwer.
Matt is a riot at his best, an Idi-Amin-on-the-Net at his worst. When he moved into alt.revisionism, the Nizkor feathers flew every which way. It was a sight to see.
"I be Shepstein," he announced to me, but then went down in cyber lore as the not-so-secret, not-so-incognito "Mikhail Frieden."
This is one of Mikhail Frieden's milder ones, to rouse the now almost defunct "fight-censorship" group into action - not that it did him any good. When it comes to the Zundelsite - it's leper station. Period.

I have to give Matt Giwer credit for trying to get some blood out of the proverbial stone: (Slight editing done to smooth the Giwer Style)

It is very simple here. If Canada is going to attempt to extend its idiot little telephone laws to the entire world, fine. If Canada does not want to participate in a free and open exchange, so be it. It is the choice of Canada.
And as Canada in its persecution of Zundel is indirectly supporting the authority of Communist China to do exactly the same thing, I then suggest that Canada deserves the consequences of promoting even Somalia to control the Internet.
I therefore propose that EVERY Canadian source be blocked by all carriers until the carriers in Canada rise up as one and denouce this usurpation by Canada of what is not owned by Canada.
And I mean blocked. I mean email, websites, newsgroup contributions.
This is the Internet. It is to be free.
(Blank!) the backwater nation that could not beat California in a fair fight! If it wishes to continue to promote any jerkwater nation being able to control the Internet, then it is an enemy of the Internet and should be severed from it completely and totally and without remorse.
The rules of the Internet are that there are no rules. Canada will not play by the rules. Cut them off as a nation and for legitimate cause.
I propose a "Blue Maple Leaf" campaign:
"To find out why you can not interchange with Canada, click on the blue maple leaf."
And there tell them Canada wants to impose its laws on you. And tell them that all of Canada will be blocked, including all governmental agencies and all persons and everything possible connected with Canada - until Canada ceases and desists, period, no exceptions, no questions asked.
Are their any rational objections? Are there any seconds to the motion?
Is their anyone willing to, in fact, promote it and do it?
Are you ready to do more than fight Foos? Are you ready to do more than strenuously object in a mailing list that no one reads?
Are we going to do something? Are we going to tell Canada to go to hell? Are we going to teach an upstart, pissant country that is ain't jack (blank!) - and make it pay for its actions?
Or are the foo-fighters going to let them get away with it and claim they fought it by posting here in effective secrecy?
I have been posting for a little over two days now - 53 hours as of this moment - and already I have had one request (granted) to use material from my posts to publicize the Zundel persecution and power grab on the Internet.
Join me, folks. There is a world-wide media out there that can not understand the Internet but can understand censorship. Censorship is to the media as vice cops are to prostitutes. They are out there - ready to pile on.
Are you slackers or are you fighters? I have already scored points - while you have been here for months procrastinating to do something.
