June 29, 1998

Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

In 1988, according to author Robert Lenski, on the eve of the Second Great Holocaust Trial, Ernst Zundel ". . . compared himself to a field commander in a war who must beg for sufficient troops and supplies to win a forthcoming battle."

At that time, Zundel wrote:

"My victories can only be in direct proportion to my means of achieving them. The benefits we shall all receive from the Second Great Holocaust Trial will be in direct proportion to the money available for this trial.

(If cases like this are lost), all beliefs, all creeds, all parties and all individuals will be subordinated to the dogma of the Holocaust . . . There will be no middle ground, no neutrality . . . As Orwell prophesied in 1984, it will not suffice to keep silent; everyone will be required to pay loud lip service."

Well, the Pope just did - didn't he? DIDN'T HE?

What a world we live in!

For tactical reasons, I have decided for the time being not to place on-line the monthly Power Letters that are shipped from the Zundel-Haus, which are the main connection between Ernst Zundel and his supporters. (Nobody else receives these letters!) These homespun missive have over the years almost exclusively financed the Zundel struggle with nickels and dimes against an enemy with the deepest pockets on earth.

Greg Raven once called these letters "Ernst's ransom notes" because they look so "thrown-together" and ragged - and even though I type and edit them, I must confess I often shudder at the haste with which they are written and mailed - yet I ***marvel*** at the way these letters do their magic! They hold the supporters together who have supported Ernst over the years - and make them hang in there, no matter what!

A few days ago, I raced my fingers once again against the clock, trying to finish just such a letter before another deadline. It was one of those days. Here is, quite simply, how that letter ended - in the genuine style that has become the Zundel trademark and has been called the "Zundelwunder" - the Zundel Miracle. I want you to read how it goes:

"For the record, let it be known that once again, the Zundel struggle has defined the issues that plague not only Canada but the entire world - a parasitic, predatory industry called "Human Rights" that serves as Marxist and Talmudist tool to club the nationalist spirit into silence!

We now have a small break because the hearings are postponed until at least the second week in November. Please understand how historically important this is! Hardly anybody argues any more about the so-called "genocide of Jews", "six million", "gassings" and so forth. The question now upon us is: "Will 'legal' means, such as these so-called Human Rights Tribunals, suffice to club truth into a bloody pulp?"

I don't think so! We won a stunning if temporary victory! The media backs us up. The media, for once, has spoken up in favor of our struggle - if not for Ernst Zundel the "villain". If we sustain this movement, we can achieve more victories.

This break will give me a chance to rest, regroup, and pay off my legal bills. Mr. Pensa said he hoped to have the hearings start again October 27. One of the complainants', Sabina Citron's, lawyers could not be there on that date, however. The earliest date for a resumption of hearings agreeable to all will now be November 9th, 1998. Since there is still a whole string of defense evidence and witnesses to be heard from, we have reserved dates all the way to the second week in January 1999!

The preparations for the fall are in progress. I will not slack off - the only thing that could put an end to my plans for a full and complete defense our enemies are not ever likely to forget would be lack of adequate funds or, of course, acts beyond my control - like government or police action, or unexpected health problems. As far as the latter is concerned, I feel in good shape. I feel determined, combative, and resolved to carry the struggle forward. New initiatives are already in the planning and preparation stages.

Expenses for all this are mounting! There will still be cross-examinations of Canadian Human Rights Commission staff members by Zundel lawyers. Dr. Ingrid Rimland, internet expert Bernard Klatt and myself will have to be cross-examined by the opposition lawyers in Judicial Review related events in mid- to end July. This, too, will cost a bundle of money for lawyers' fees and unavoidable flights, which always cost an arm and a leg these days, especially since the dates are rarely known in advance and we cannot depend on pre-booked discounts.

You can see why I constantly harp away at money and finances. Money is the lifeline; it is the fuel needed to bring the experts to Toronto, to rip off the mask from the face of a hypocritical collection of lobbyists and censors and expose them and their nefarious actions and schemes for all the world to see - as we have already done plenty this June!

Only with your help can we shine the spotlight of public scrutiny on them and watch them scurry for their rocks to hide behind! These hearings are a milestone in the struggle for freedom. We are the soldiers in this fight! My friends and I, along with my entire team, have the skills and the will to carry this thing through. Intellectually and by experience gathered over decades of trials and tribulations, I may be one of the best equipped warriors by a strange and inscrutable destiny to do this job - yet one more time! You have seen what we did accomplish with the help you have supplied in the past years and months. There is no reason why we cannot continue to astonish and surprise our enemies as we finish this perverse "Human Rights" struggle - for real Human Rights, not just for Germans but for all who cherish the truth in history!

You have been generous and dedicated to me and my work and have stood by me - many of you for 20, 30, a few of you almost 40 years! I am moved to the core of my being by such loyalty, love and comradeship! Thank you for staying the course!

(End of Zundel Power Letter)

Thought for the Day:

"I'm sure we are paying tribute to Holocaust victims that weren't even alive during the war."
