Something momentous has happened yesterday - and it must be some kind of cosmic joke the gods have played on Canada that it should have happened on the Day of Tenth Anniversary of Tiananmen Square!
Get this: The assassins of Freedom of Speech took their censorious uzis and aimed them straight and in broadest daylight at the "free press" of Canada.
And all because of Ernst Zundel. As one of our readers wrote: "Purveyors of THE LIE choke when they hear the name Zundel."
For weeks now, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal Hearings have played to an empty house, as far as mainstream media was concerned. It was more than neglect - it was clearly design. It could not have been otherwise, for certainly the media were notified, and stunning drama was not lacking as documents of Jewish wrongdoings were introduced for history. Not that it made a difference. Except for one ethnic paper, the Canadian Jewish News, the media blackout was uniform and total.
On the part of the government lawyers and even the Human Rights Tribunal Threesome, the blatant and brazen contempt shown for such democratic concepts as fair play, neutrality and justice were such that, at one point, I asked: "What is this? Audacity or desperation?" and a weary Ernst Zundel said with a bitter laugh: "I think it is both."
Meanwhile, one reader wrote:

The Federal Court of Canada has effectively washed its hand of judicial fairness - and in a classic case of double speak stated that because one tribunal is biased, the 'Tribunal' that is persecuting him, is not. Some Tribunals are less biased than others. I only hope when historians look back at this fiasco they will have mercy, for today, the courts know not what they do. Keep in mind that with the execution of Streicher the allies, including the US, made the First Amendment a capital offense. "
Ernst had mentioned to me a few days ago that he planned a press conference in Ottawa, Canada's capital, because of the shameless abuse by intervenor lawyers of his two witnesses so far: First Dr. Alexander Jacob, a man of impeccable scholastic credentials, who was disqualified, insulted and vilified by the Commission members, the attorneys for the Human Rights Commission and the various Holocaust Promotion intervenors, and then Dr. Robert Countess, Presbyterian minister and former Army chaplain, who was called a "fraud" and "charlatan".
I said to Ernst, referring to the planned press conference: "What will you say?" and Ernst said quietly: "I will undertake yet one more tour of duty and tell the media precisely what is going on."
I said: "What if nobody comes?" and Ernst said: "Well, in that case I tried."
Here is what happened - ***for the first time ever*** in the history of Canada:
Since ***even to raise the topic of truth is inadmissible*** before Human Rights Commission Tribunals in one's own defence, on June 3 the Zundel-Haus sent out a press release that said, in part:

"This was an interim ruling on May 25 by a Canadian Human Rights Tribunal now sitting in judgment over an American based website called the Zundelsite:

"Biblical Scholar, Historian, Educator, Researcher and Lecturer on Greek, Biblical and European History will be testifying for the defence this week. He will rebut the evidence of government Anti-Semitism expert Dr. Frederick Schweitzer of Manhattan College in Brooklyn, N.Y., USA.

Yesterday at 1:30 p.m., Ernst called and said: "Are you sitting down?" and I could tell by the timbre of his voice that something important had happened.
And so it had.
Ernst had tried to hold a press conference in a room at the House of Commons - made available to members of the public in the Parliament Building for the purpose of informing members of Parliament and the public at large of important issues of public interest - AND BY UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION ***OF PARLIAMENT*** THE ZUNDELSITE PRESS CONFERENCE WAS CANCELED !
In other words, Ernst was banned from Parliament. I say that Truth was banned from Parliament at the behest of the Holocaust Promotion Lobby! Some "democratic" government!
Here is the text as it was faxed to me, with my apologies for the somewhat off-center grammar:
"Don Boudria, leader of the government in the House of Commons, on a point of order, and unanimous consent.
"The Resolution is: 'That this House order that Ernst Zundel be denied admittance to the precincts of the House of Commons during, and for the remainder of the present session.'
"The Speaker asked for unanimous consent. The Honorable members agreed, asks again, and agreed. The motion is agreed to."

As a result, the mainstream media are besieging Ernst. So far, yesterday he has given seven interviews to the most important media in Canada and one American wire service that supplies some 700 media outlets globally. Last night, some 4 1/2 minutes ran on the CTV Network's Prime Time Evening 11 p.m News. Ernst said the reporting contained some very good sound bytes from his interview with reporters. He says that Canadian reporters are shell-shocked - and, what is new in light of previous routine vilification of Ernst Zundel and his motives, this time around something is dawning on reporters, and they are deferential to Ernst Zundel - for a change!
This may just be the Holocaust Promotion Lobby's Waterloo! Never ever has this happened that censorship came down that brutally on media in Canada. Let that sink in for once!
The Zundelsite Press Conference ***will*** be held by Ernst Zundel today at 10:00 A.M. (in 45 minutes!) in front of the Peace Tower, House of Commons, Parliament Building in Ottawa.
Now what remains of the spine of Canadian "free press" and "mainstream media" will be tested and revealed. Lawyers are standing by in case Ernst will be arrested.
