Good Morning from the Zundelsite:
It cannot be stressed enough that the Revisionist struggle is playing
now in the realm of *countries* and no longer on the backs of individuals
alone - although some people, such as the entrenched Canadian Holocaust
Promoters like Sol Littman, Bernie Farber et al, still have a lot of trouble
realizing that. These people do not seem to understand that they are generating
damaging media copy to themselves by revealing their tribe as the only segment
in society wanting to censor ideas and historical debate, and by demonstrating
their hatred and vendetta against target groups like Revisionists and individuals
like Ernst Zundel. Man, how we flush them out!
Right now, Revisionism races through the Arab countries like greased lightning,
as the saying goes - and high time, too! Once Arab countries realize that
they will never win the struggle against Israel as long as they leave the
two fat Israeli guilt money cash cows alone - Germany and the United States,
of course - to their perverted worship of the Holocaust, their struggle
will take on an ever more brutal, repressive turn, culminating in massacres
of Palestinians all the way up to hot shooting wars against Iraq, Syria
or anyone else the secret, behind-the-scenes rulers of Bonn and Washington
don't like.
Right now, the French Garaudy trial makes major, major inroads in the thinking
of Arabs intellectuals, in the less censored media, and in the perception
of the Arab masses. They read these stories about "Garaudy the Muslim
convert" being mistreated, and they will remember it. This unlikely
"Revisionist" old Marxist-turned-Muslim-at-the-end-of-his-life
- after having written what turns out to be a super treatise on Revisionism,
swiped and plagiarized largely from Dr. Faurisson's writings and those of
Barbara Kulaszka - doesn't seem to quite know why he, much like the legendary
frog, having tried to escape from the fire, now finds himself in the proverbial
frying pan and trying to hop out.
Here our French-native Revisionist contact reports on "Day Three"
in a courtroom in Paris where Garaudy is trying to say that he didn't say
what he said. (Bracketed comments have been inserted by me for clarity).
"Yesterday was the third day of Roger Garaudy's trial.
It was supposed to be the last one. But, starting at 2 p.m., it was not
finished when we left the courtroom at 9.30 p.m.! (with only a 10 minute
break!). So, it will go on Friday 16.
As you all know, Garaudy got so much support from the Arab world that he
looked quite comfortable: he doesn't dread much out of this trial, actually,
since he knows he will get the necessary money when needed. Therefore he
was smiling as he entered the courtroom.
The hall in front of the courtroom was packed like a 6 p.m. metro {subway
station} in Paris and, since the courtroom is very small, very few people
were able to go inside when the doors opened and the hall remained packed
nearly the whole afternoon.
Tension between people of opposite opinions was very high. Of course, there
was to be some incident . . .
But, first, the trial.
Mr Garaudy was cross-examined by the various associations for a few hours.
He was very quick-witted for a man of 83 and gave some fine answers, such
as this one:
- "Can you tell us if there exists an Arabic lobby?" - "I
would say, unfortunately no!"
He was applauded by the audience.
But unfortunately one cannot say that the hearing was very constructive
for the Revisionist cause.
First, one may deplore that Garaudy didn't stick to his book as far as the
"myth of the Holocaust" is concerned. He kept insisting upon the
fact that he was certainly not an antisemite, and he even went as far as
saying that antisemitism was not an offence but a crime!
To accuse him of being an antisemite is like attacking his honour and making
a criminal out of him, he said.
Next, during the whole afternoon, the witnesses (4 of them) and the counsels
(6 of them) of the various {Jewish Survivor and Anti-Racist} associations
had the impudence to treat us to the most hackneyed stereotypes: the SS
who spent most of their time striking people, their ferocious dogs barking,
chimneys smoking, etc.
The prosecutor spoke last. He said that Garaudy had plagiarized a certain
"Robert F..." (as a matter of fact, one of the counsels showed
that Garaudy had also plagiarized a rightist paper in which he had run a
few items, without using quotation marks nor italics...) but then he tried
to give a lecture on the "Holocaust" and started quoting words
of Hitler, of Heydrich, of Hans Frank, giving those words a meaning which
they have not.
He ended up calling for a 150,000 F fine (approx. US $ 25,000) plus a suspended
6 months jail sentence for Pierre Guillaume and a 150,000 F fine for Garaudy.
Now, the incident.
As we were in the courtroom we heard a tremendous noise outside and people
screaming. Well, if one may say so, just the usual things happened: The
Betar was there and the young Jews, some of them with a kippa on their heads,
were slipping through the crowd in a provoking way.
They were about 15. But at one stage, they realized they were facing a group
of another 15 young Revisionists ready to fight. So they ran away quickly.
But the gendarmes wanted to get rid of those 15 young Revisionists and told
them to leave the Palace of Justice. They had to obey but went away shouting,
or rather, screaming: "Israel assassins!"
All the TVs rushed to film them as they were going down the stairs.
But, when they were outside, they found the Betarim there! They started
fighting but the Revisionists were stronger, so the Betarim ran away.
All of a sudden, however, the Betarim stopped, turned round, put themselves
on a line and took out knives from their pockets.
Just at that moment, the police arrived and took 5 Jews and 5 Revisionists
to the police station, the other having managed to run away.
Why am I telling all that?
Just to point out that, since those 15 Jews had knives in their pockets,
it means that they had not entered the Palace through the usual door, where
people have to go through a {metal} detector, otherwise the detector would
have noticed the knives!
Remember what Dr Faurisson had written in his article "Jewish Militants:
Fifteen Years, and More, of Terrorism in France" ("Journal of
Historical Review", March/April 1996, p. 2-13), with Moshe Cohen's
car parked on the pavement of the big gate of the court building?
This morning, Friday 16, it will be the turn of the defense lawyers, among
them one lawyer from Egypt and one from Morocco, with Maitre Verges speaking
at 2 p.m.
I shall keep you posted.
Noteworthy here is the financial support mentioned in the e-mail missive
which Garaudy receives for his trial. According to an AFP report of January
14, 1998, the money comes from highest quarters.
Sheikha Fatima ibnt Mubarak, wife of Sheikh Zayed ibn Sultan Al-Nahayan,
the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a gift of $50,000 ". . . in support
of the French Moslem thinker, Roger Garaudy. . . who is on trial in Paris
for denying the existence of Nazi gas chambers . . ."
Furthermore, on Monday, (Jan 12, '98) the House of Youth in Doha organized
a rally in support of Garaudy. Garaudy himself, speaking to the rally via
satellite from France, opined that "the Zionists are annoyed"
by his book, (Founding Myths of Israeli Politics, 1996), which "reviewed
their strategy aiming at establishing a greater Israel. . . "
In this book, Garaudy had called the extermination of six million Jews during
World War II by the Nazis a "myth" that was used to justify "everything
Israel has demanded and obtained in Palestine."
On the heels of the Sheika's donation and the youth group rally, a Jordanian
human rights group also stated on Wednesday (January 14, 98) that it gave
its ". . . full support to French writer and philosopher Roger Garaudy
who is on trial in Paris for denying the existence of Nazi gas chambers."
"(We) support his freedom in everything he has said and written,"
said the Arab Organisation for Human Rights in Jordan. "His is an opinion
and political position adopted by many intellectuals and historians."
Well, good for them - although it needs to be pointed out that chances are
the financial support is given to Garaudy *because* he is a convert to Islam
- which is not to detract from its merits.
But what Garaudy has said in his book has been long said before.
Ernst Zundel said it in his little treatise of four pages "The West,
War and Islam" in 1981, for which he was hauled before the Canadian
judicial system and criminally charged in 1983, handcuffed, jailed, out
on bail, tried and found not guilty after a 7 week trial in 1985!
Before and during that trial, which also included the "Did Six Million
Really Die" Revisionist booklet - a major bone of contention, then
and to this day! - Ernst pleaded with the Arabs for support with his high
court costs and expenses, to no avail at all.
Similarly, Ahmed Rami, the Swedish-based journalist but seemingly non-practicing
Muslim, has also taken a great deal of heat for his Revisionist writings,
Radio Islam broadcasts, and his Revisionist website, and has had little
if any support from his fellow Arab countrymen.
While this is humanly understandable, the Arab indifference to historical
Revisionism as their most powerful weapon in their arsenal - more powerful
than all the incompetent armies combined! - so far has retarded their cause
for self-liberation and relief from Israeli abuses.
But better late than never!
It should be noted, finally, that the Arab human rights group added that
although France is generally considered a supporter of the freedom of expression,
France ". . . has fallen under the Zionist influence which is deep-rooted
in some sectors of European society."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
