Good Morning from the Zundelsite:
The mood is palpable to all those who have not yet lost the capacity to
sense the nuances of political life unfolding - there is a new breeze blowing
in the land of the intellect.
In the affairs of man, and in the life of cultures and movements, changes
take place which are at first subtle, and which only the most culturally
attuned or politically astute perceive while they are talking place.
That is the way it has been with this movement now known to the world as
Historical Revisionism - this disciplined scholarly attempt of a handful
of scholars and thinkers, paired with a deeply felt, intense conviction
that it behooves a new millennium to replace forgeries with facts.
It used to be that the proponents of the idea to rewrite history - based
on facts and not self-serving, stale war propaganda - were pilloried, shouted
down, silenced and ridiculed at every turn. Revisionists were the new witches
of this Age of the Cunning Book Burners and Inquisitors of the Intellect.
No more.
Not that it doesn't happen now and then to individuals who choose to make
themselves known as the vanguards, but even those who still believe the
old formula of sanctimonious terror still applies now find themselves at
a loss as to reconcile their censorship attempts under the old, tattered
flag of liberal pretensions.
The Internet saw the first battles, when Revisionist websites were abruptly
canceled, service providers were leaned on, pressured and blackmailed by
large customers and self-appointed censors to refuse service to politically
incorrect sites, and people like Ernst Zundel, Marc Lemire, Bradley Smith
and some lesser known freedom fighters were blocked, canceled, sabotaged,
e-mail-bombed and ultimately put on government indexes and dragged into
courts and before the newest predatory industry, these so-called "Human
Rights Tribunals."
Except for special cases still meant as precedents where vindictiveness
runs rampant in the face of every legal maxim, and where websites such as
mine are in danger of being bullied off the net, in general these turbulent
days seem to be over. High-quality Revisionist websites have proliferated
like magic mushrooms after a warm spring rain. The enemies of intellectual
freedom and unfettered inquiries, such as the ADL and the Simon Wiesenthal
Center, now wail and ring their hands at the rapidly expanding number of
nationalist websites all over the world, with links upon links upon links.
Of special interest to us at the cusp of this heady time is the Belgian
website ( http://www.vho.org/) which focuses the movement of greatest relevance
to Europe. We submit this URL to you with the usual proviso that we neither
endorse nor promote each and every word or item posted on this site, or
on the sites linked to this newest multi-language flagship - and that we
simply say: "Look, read, and judge the content for yourself!"
Meanwhile, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is sending around thousands of CDs,
which they claim show the major "hate sites" - translated, sites
they have chosen to hate! - because many of them spill the beans on the
activities of these self-appointed rabbinical censors and their entrenched
ghetto mentality.
Courtesy of those who would take the world back to the confines of the dark
days of the Inquisition, this means free advertising for dissident sites,
all grouped for convenience of surfing!
The mood has changed. A breezy wind is blowing. It seems so simple to
state this, and yet it is profound.
Those of us in the forefront of Revisionism find thirsting minds and never-ending
questions spread before us like a carpet, all ready to burst into bloom.
People are beginning to grasp what it ***means*** that they and their parent
generation have been deceived, lied to, stifled, and taken unfair advantage
of by clever spin doctors and media information managers in the employ of
the ruling orthodoxy and political oligarchy, and they now look at their
chains of yesterday with clear and often angry eyes.
Those on the inside ***know*** that the so-called Holocaust is now as stale
as yesterday's news, and they are focusing on the intellectual ferment,
even the righteous anger, of people who know they have been deliberately
exploited for the basest of motives by mainstream writers and academics.
The once seemingly solid, impenetrable walls of ignorance and suspicion
are crumbling before the steady erosion of wave after wave of facts after
facts, washing away the foundations of quicksand upon which the propaganda
lies of yesterday were built.
The Rabbi Hiers, the Abe Foxmans, the Mike Wallaces, the Deborah Lipstadts
are like the proverbial Dutch, trying to plug the ever-increasing numbers
of holes and leaks in the dike, with only ten fingers to their hands. They
may as well try to sweep back the inrushing tide with their worn-out brooms
of censorship!
The heady scent of Liberation through Information can be perceived everywhere.
- for a new dawn in human history is rising.
The marvel and near-magic of the "people's medium", the Internet,
is liberating millions who only yesterday lived in the shackles of the mind
and blinked in confusion at a dimly perceived reality. The Age of Truth
is about to break like a mighty cloudburst - and wash away the last remnants
of misperceptions of the Age of Lies in mighty torrents for the millions
of minds set free at last by clarity.
The battle cry of 1998 is going to be "Truth to the People!",
for there is truly nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has finally
come.
