Good Morning from the Zundelsite:

Several weeks ago I started telling you about "Re-Education" as it played out in postwar Germany and hasn't stopped to this day. Then something else was more important, and I put aside the rest of my ZGram pertaining to this topic for an opportune moment like now.

Political re-education was the alternative put forward by Britain during the common wartime search for a policy which would prevent the resurgence of Germany for a third time, after World War I and World War II, as a "hostile military power."

Both the Americans and the Russians initially thought in terms of destroying the material capacity of Germany for going to war again in he foreseeable future. The Americans proposed, principally, the destruction of the economic and industrial capacity of Germany for making war - by a ruthless and thorough demolition of what was left of it after the war.

By flooding her mines, dismantling her heavy industry and similar measures, Germany was to be reduced, in the phrase of the so-called Morgenthau Plan, to a "pastoral economy." Political dismemberment would then complete the job.

The Soviet Union thought in much the same terms of "de-industrialization" but wished to complete it by the once-and-for-all removal of Germany's political and social elite - a policy modeled on the same principles which the Soviets had already applied in the case of the Kulaks and the Polish officer class.

In other words, they would summarily shoot them.

In an excerpt from the introduction of the book "The Political Re-Education of Germany and her Allies after World War II, we learn that

". . . (t)he British alternative was in fact to go for the mind instead of the body. It sought to eradicate, by all means available to the Military Government of an occupied country, the ideas and the ideals on which the authoritarian and militaristic political system of Germany had been based - and to substitute for them the ethical, philosophical and political ideas of Britain and her transatlantic descendants. . . .

"They were to be cured of militarism by learning to think of the soldier as the paid servant of the community rather than as the elite of the nation, and to unlearn that it was the state which legitimized the individual - rather than the other way around.

"The realization of this policy was to involve the control and manipulation not only of the media of opinion formation but also the agencies of attitude formation. It was to be effected by re-structuring the media of opinion formation, such as the press, radio and cinema to ensure a pluralistic approach to "kultur".

"By remaking and, as far as possible, re-staffing the educational system and reorienting the curricular and scholarly vehicles for attitude formation - including the re-writing of the nation's history, that perhaps most powerful formulator of basic attitudes - a long-term change of outlook and attitudes would be secured.

"There can be no doubt that in the Second World War the German people had been willing to give every ounce of heroism and self-sacrifice of which they were capable in order to stop the advance of Bolshevism into Europe. Fired by the belief that they could do so by virtue of a righteous cause despite their limited resources by devoting more totally what they did have to the national purpose than it lay in their opponents to do, they gave all they could be expected to give - and more.

"The German people were willing to accept casualties on any scale, bear the destruction of their magnificent, architectural and industrial heritage, together with those living standards and home comforts of which they as a people had been so proud to have created. . . "

And all, for what?

Well, for a start, according to Winston Churchill, the problem was how to prevent Germany getting on their feet in the lifetime of our grandchildren. . . " because, according to Morgenthau, US Secretary of the Treasury, ". . . Europe can get along without them."

As it turns out, ironically, the state of Israel could not.

In what was described in an August 1996 Barnes Review editorial as ". . . the greatest and most insidiously conjured sales and indoctrination campaign ever waged", the very reason d'etre of this massive "re-education campaign", the Hallowed Holocaust, just isn't holding up - not here, and not in Europe:

". . . In any sane society, if it became known that millions of people believed to have been murdered were in fact alive following an awful tragedy; if it were discovered that a vast percentage of those assumed dead were indeed "survivors", such news would be greeted with cheers and relief.

"But the "6 Million" mantra, endlessly repeated, has been ruthlessly used as a club by the interests behind the high-stakes game played by the professional Holocaust promoters.

"They realize that the truth might set millions of citizen-taxpayers, here, in Germany and elsewhere, free to question the outrageous moral and financial impositions currently imposed upon them by Israel, the Holocaust's chief beneficiary.

"Even in the face of the implosions of the "6 million" figure, the courts and lawmakers of Germany, France, Canada etc. continue to hound, prosecute and jail those who publicly dispute what is now an admitted fraud.
. . .
"As the facts bring the actual numbers of Jewish deaths down, the Holocaust industry is not sitting still; indeed, they are rising to the occasion and meeting the challenge with unparalleled chutzpah.

"They continue to label those who seek factual accountings "haters" and "anti-Semites." Because of their promiscuous overuse, these smears no longer frighten many of those who would previously have been intimidated.

"So the promoters of the 6 million are reaching, straining to retain their stranglehold on the conscience of Western society by upping the ante. Now they are blaming an entire people. Such is the very definition of racism.

"In other words, Holocaust promoters accuse others of what they are guilty of themselves.

"As these absurdities mount, and as the facts of German treatment of Jews in World War II gradually become widely known, maybe we can free ourselves of the shackles placed on political and public discourse, our pocketbooks and our nation's good name by a foreign nation, Israel - which is itself the nation most guilty of genocide, racism and hate mongering, and profits from it handsomely to boot."
