Read this, folks, and see what you think:
According to an ANA release of November 23, Pope John Paul beatified two
Austrian priests who, he said, ". . . refused to worship the beast
and image" of the Third Reich.
The Pope said these priests, Jakob Gapp and Otto Neururer, showed that there
could be ". . . no compromise between Christianity and the Nazi pagan
national socialist ideology."
Comparing Hitler to Satan, Pope John Paul added, "They [the priests]
sit today on Christ's throne because they refused . . . to worship the beast
and its image."
I have waited for this for some time because I have had enough casual chats
with Identity Christians talking about Revelations to know they are onto
the "Biblical beast" - and it is not, according to them, who the
Pope says it is. They claim that the Pope's name is Katz and that his mother
was Jewish.
I also heard an Identity Christian song, the lyrics of which are set to
the music of the National Socialist anthem - in fact, quite beautifully
and powerfully done! - the crescendo of which is rendered by a masterful
voice with incredibly forceful conviction:
"Rise up and fight
On earth He gave us power,
Rise up and fight,
On earth He made us king,
Before the Prince of Death
we shall no longer cower!
Take up His sword
and then
take down
the evil tower . . . "
Trust me. They aren't singing about us.
And just to keep things in perspective and contained: There is no political
affiliation whatsoever between us and the Christian Identity movement. The
Zundelsite is strictly information outreach, and we stay clear of any "groups."
But I can tell you this: They watch us, and we watch them, and this is happening
with growing understanding of one another's viewpoint. We can use all the
prayers we can get.
Here's more good news for our intellectual brigades:
A Russian newspaper just published a 16 page article by Jurgen Graf on Revisionism.
The Russian publisher added one jarring note about Hitler, "The Hater
of Mankind" - the rest is pure, succinct revision of history and will
have a large impact.
"Apparently," wrote Ernst in a fax that arrived, just humming,
overnight, "it is brilliant!"
As if anything Jurgen Graf writes ISN'T brilliant! The man is unreal. "Before
the Prince of Death we shall no longer cower. . . " could well be his
motto. How did he get to be a staunch Revisionist? Because he lost his job
as an educator in Switzerland for his convictions.
Our best comrades are people who have been very badly hurt. You see that
again and again.
And then there are the French - who are really hot under the collar. An
article by Roger Cohen of the New York Times (November 22, 1996) says this
of France:
"The sense that the National Front was marginal has been lost. Its agenda - send home the immigrants, end European integration, ban American cultural products - has become the center of national debate."
And, lastly, from Sweden comes this:
"I just have to tell you about this article that appeared in a major Swedish newspaper, Dagens Nyheter (Today's News) the other day, November 23 to be exact.
In short, the astounding thing is that the article is almost neutral towards fascism. Among other things, it says that "In the beginning of the century, fascism was associated with culture, spiritualness and high morale."
Is that incredible or what? From where I'm sitting it certainly is!"
I have this little oldster lady as one of my devoted volunteers who calls
me late at night for periodic pats on the shoulder. She is a timid thing
who slaves over the nitty-gritty of this struggle with a fierceness you
wouldn't believe. In gratitude, I tell her snippets such as the above which
I keep on my nightstand for her. I can describe this lady's contribution
best by quoting Arthur Keith, which shall be your Thought of the Day:
"Every generation of a group owes its existence to the self-sacrificing labours of a preceding generation."
She's one of them. I wish I could tell you her address - and it bespeaks
the essence of our struggle that I can't. Just yet.
