Good Morning from the Zundelsite:
Boy, am I going to get it from the Left AND from the Right
again for this one! Nonetheless, some things are worth repeating.
As many of my readers know, I spent half of my life in what you would condemn
as a "racist society" - first in Russia, then in Germany, and
then in South America. I have known life under four dictators: Stalin, Hitler,
Peron and Stroessner. I have said elsewhere that the apartheid lifestyle
was such a natural and taken-for-granted way of life for my own folks it
never dawned on me it should be otherwise.
All people whom I knew were "racists" - what fool on earth would
want to be a mongrel? That was the attitude nobody dreamed of questioning.
Of course that was ideological indoctrination. But let me tell you here
and now: never of the brutality, rigidity and grim relentlessness of our
"democratic" indolence of smorgasbording every race on earth -
regardless of the wishes of the people!
I often think of that, with very mixed emotions. I know that, as a child,
I was deprived of seeing beauty in another culture. But on the other hand,
you in your so-called "free" democracies are now deprived, and
cravenly, of seeing beauty in your own.
So who is the worse off?
As I grew older and, hopefully, more wise, I found a middle stance - which
is a stance of studied tolerance toward all races near and far who are genuinely
striving to achieve what we are striving to achieve - ethnic identity and
sustenance. I have no trouble giving them that leeway. My tolerance is running
short for those who'll stand in our way.
Which brings me to the Arab world and to a letter I received - edited just
very lightly so as not to destroy its flavor. Please keep in mind that the
writer is not native to English.
It addresses itself to a previous ZGram where I talked about Ernst's experience
as a patriotic German in a German prison where he was very much in the minority
- surrounded by Third World crooks, pimps, gangsters and dope pushers:
"I am writing to you to voice my concerns and ideas about
your stand, and how can different cultures interact and celebrate their
differences. If this is the attitude of your organization, allow me to
withdraw my name from your mailing list, and find some White trash to listen
to you.
I am, as an Arab nationalist, living in Canada. I am proud to be who I
am, and support every one to a proud nationalist, that includes Mr. Zundel.
I have all the due respect to the German nation, whether they reside in
Greater Germany, or abroad (in Canada, US...etc.) , but in the same token,
I will not accept any nationalistic ideology which consider itself better
than the others, that is plain stupid.
I see that we both nations, the Germans & Arabs, can
and should work together, against one main & common
enemy. I hope you would clarify these points to me, without "Gebrish"
or un-understood "Political Jargons".
I really trust that you will be honest. . . "
Well, sir, I'll try - for I believe I speak for many within our ranks
and without when I say that to take the stance of "White Supremacy"
is not just arrogant, low-brow, ill-mannered and impetuous - it is sheer
suicide from a strategic point of view.
I know that, speaking only for myself, I would like nothing better than
have the Arabs be our friends. I know next to nothing about them. They know
next to nothing about me. All that is by design. We are all kept from knowing
anything of substance of each other.
Divide and conquer is an old, old ruse our common enemy has used to great
advantage for himself for centuries - while brothers shed rivers of blood
to serve our enemies' interests. We ALL need all the Allies we can get.
